In this episode of the Parsha Review Podcast, Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe introduces Parshas Va'eschanan, which follows Tisha B'Av, a day of mourning for the destruction of the two Temples and other tragedies in Jewish history. The episode focuses on Moses' heartfelt pleas—515 prayers—to enter the Land of Israel, which God ultimately denies, commanding him to stop to avoid compelling divine acquiescence. Rabbi Wolbe is joined by his nephew, Avram Blackman, a seventh-grader from Toronto, who shares a profound insight on the parsha. Avram highlights Moses' resilience, noting that despite his unanswered prayers, Moses continued to teach and strengthen the Jewish people, delivering the Shema and Torah without complaint. Avram connects this to a personal story about his rebbe, who, unable to speak due to a medical procedure, wrote personalized, heartfelt letters to each student on the last day of school, pouring his love and pride into words that carried lasting impact. Avram compares this to the Torah itself, likening it to a divine letter from Hashem, written to endure beyond spoken words, ensuring an eternal connection. He addresses the question of why Moses prayed 515 times if his request was denied, explaining that prayer is about building a relationship with God, not just achieving desires. Each prayer brought Moses closer to Hashem, just as his rebbe's letters deepened the bond with his students. Rabbi Wolbe reinforces this, emphasizing that prayer elevates us spiritually, regardless of the outcome, and encourages listeners to see every prayer as a step toward divine closeness. The episode concludes with a blessing for fulfilled prayers and a meaningful Shabbos._____________This episode (Ep 7.41) of the Parsha Review Podcast by Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe on Parshas Va'eschanan is dedicated in honor of our Holy Soldiers in the Battlefield and our Torah Scholars in the Study Halls who are fighting for the safety of our nation!Download & Print the Parsha Review Notes:https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ncaRyoH5iJmGGoMZs9y82Hz2ofViVouv?usp=sharingRecorded at TORCH Studios (C) to an online TORCHzoom.com audience on August 4, 2025, in Passaic, New Jersey.Released as Podcast on August 4, 2025_____________Subscribe: Apple Podcasts (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/parsha-review-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1651930083)Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/show/22lv1kXJob5ZNLaAl6CHTQ) to stay inspired! Reflecting on a life fully devoted to Christ, Paul charges Timothy—and all believers—to guard sound doctrine and guide others to it, even in a world that increasingly rejects truth. Pastor Karl unpacks Paul's call to "preach the word" with urgency, reprove and correct with patience, and do the work of an evangelist, sharing the good news of Jesus. He emphasizes living with no reserve, no retreat, and no regret, fighting the good fight, finishing the race, and keeping the faith. Through vivid imagery and personal anecdotes, Pastor Karl challenges listeners to embrace their God-given purpose, forgive as Christ forgave, and live a life that counts for the Kingdom, no matter the cost.Watch all our sermons on our YouTube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

What does it mean to inherit a sacred tradition? Alam Khan was born into one of the most revered lineages in Indian classical music - his father, Ali Akbar Khan, was hailed as one of the greatest musicians of the 20th Century and brought the spiritually rich sarod and rāga music to the West. But Alam's journey has not been one of simple inheritance. Presenter Rajeev Gupta follows Alam across California, from his father's grave to the family music school and into the quiet spaces where Alam seeks refuge. For Alam, it is a deeply personal wrestle: growing up American, immersed in rock and hip-hop, Alam resisted the weight of legacy. But after his father's death, something changed. Going through his father's recordings, he felt a cosmic calling - one that was more spiritual than familial. This episode of The Documentary, comes to you from Heart and Soul, exploring personal approaches to spirituality from around the world.

In this powerful episode, Pastor Karl continues into the book of First Timothy, exploring the apostle Paul's heartfelt letter to his young protégé, Timothy, written from prison as Paul faced the end of his life. Pastor Karl unpacks the timeless charge to Timothy, who was leading the church in Ephesus, emphasizing the critical role of the church as a place of grace and sound doctrine. He highlights Paul's call to guard biblical truth and guide people into it, especially in a world prone to drift and doubt. Moving into chapter four, Pastor Karl draws parallels between athletic training and spiritual discipline, urging believers to "train like it matters" in godliness. In this episode, Pastor Karl kicks off a new 10-week sermon series diving into the letters of 1st and 2nd Timothy. Speaking on Mother's Day, he highlights the powerful influence of faithful mothers and grandmothers, drawing from Timothy's own story, shaped by his mother, Eunice, and grandmother, Lois. Pastor Karl emphasizes the core theme of these letters: what a Jesus community believes—its doctrine—directly shapes how it lives. Exploring 1st Timothy Chapter 1, he unpacks Paul's charge to Timothy, a young leader in Ephesus, to remain steadfast in a challenging environment, teaching sound doctrine and resisting cultural confusion. Pastor Karl outlines six reasons to "remain" in faith: hard places need hard truth, God's people are needed, God uses unworthy people, we serve a great God, the battle for faith is too important to surrender, and some have already fallen away. With passion, he calls the church to stand under Scripture, guard doctrine, and trust in God's grace to live faithfully. Where did our faith come from? Who loved us, and now - who will we love?
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4–9, Deuteronomy 4:9, Mark 10:13–16 Pastor Vicki Harrison opens our new series, Faith That Leaves a Legacy, with a powerful message on what it means to pass on our faith to the next generation. She challenges us to think beyond material inheritance and instead consider the spiritual mark we leave on our children, our church, and our community. Drawing from Deuteronomy, Pastor Vicki reminds us that God calls His people to impress His commands on their children—not casually or occasionally, but as part of daily life. In Mark's Gospel, we see Jesus welcome and bless children, making it clear that they matter in the Kingdom of God. The message features a video interview with Miriam Swanson, Global Student Mission Leader and Director of Fusion USA. Miriam shares insight on what young adults today are longing for: not perfect programs, but people. Real connection. Authentic love. Presence over performance. Pastor Vicki reflects on the church's responsibility to walk alongside young people. She shares personal stories, including how difficult it was for her own children to find churches that welcomed them during college. Her reminder is clear: one person showing up can make all the difference. This week's takeaway: the next generation doesn't need another polished event—they need someone who cares. Leaving a spiritual legacy starts with showing up, speaking life, and living the Gospel with humility and love. Discussion Questions What is the role of the church for the next generation? What are some practical steps you can take to reach youth and young adults? What are some challenges the church faces as we seek to reach the next generation? What does it mean that presence is more important than programming? How did Jesus exemplify this? What might we need to let go of in order to reach both the lost and the next generation for Jesus?

Today, we're discussing the recent passing of Pope Francis. As a Protestant, I don't hold to Catholic doctrine, and I've had some serious theological issues with the papacy—but that doesn't mean I won't stop to reflect when someone steps into eternity. In this episode, I'm praying for Pope Francis' soul and hoping he had a deathbed conversion—because no one is beyond God's reach. I also hope Catholics choose a biblical pope next time, not one more interested in pleasing the world than honoring the Word. We'll talk about the things he did right—his care for the poor and moments of humility. But we'll also look at the dangerous things he got wrong:Promoting open borders that have devastated countries and erased traditionSaying all religions worship the same God (they don't)Claiming the human heart is good (the Bible says it's deceitful above all things)Ignoring original sin and the fallen nature of manThis is a respectful but honest take on a figure who meant a lot to many—but who, like all of us, needed Christ above all.--https://noblegoldinvestments.com/

What must we do to leave a spiritual legacy? | Bruce Garner by CrossPoint Church
Message Pastor JasonWe explore the story of King Hezekiah in Isaiah 39 and his choice to settle for "peace in his time" rather than seek lasting security for future generations. As Election Day approaches, we're reminded that our loyalty is to God's Kingdom above any earthly allegiance. Hezekiah's story reveals a powerful lesson: true peace requires a vision that goes beyond ourselves and seeks to bring Christ's peace to others—even those not yet born. Join us as we unpack what it means to carry this mission forward, so that our faith today leaves a legacy of peace tomorrow. Enjoy this message? 260 – Is it possible for you to bless people 100 years from now?Have you ever wondered what impact your life might have on future generations? Will people remember you 100 or 200 years from now or will your life be forgotten by the world in general? You just might have more influence on the future than you can imagine. Think of folks who lived hundreds of years ago who are a blessing to you: maybe an author or an artist, or some historical figure. And of course, think of all the people in the Bible, who lived thousands of years ago, but their lives, and the lessons they learned, are still a blessing to us today. If this can be true for them, then it can be true for you and me as well. What will your spiritual legacy be for future generations? In this week's episode I talk about. The best way to leave a spiritual legacy is to obey God's commandmentsTeach your children and those around you to love God and all mankindGod told Abraham he and his descendants would be a blessing to the whole world. If it's true for Abraham, it is true for you tooJesus knew he would be a blessing for the whole world for all time to comeAs a follower of Jesus, your life can have a similar far-reaching effectThe choices you make today in obedience to God, the way you live your life in following Christ, the humility you express in being guided by the Holy Spirit, will have a lasting influence far into the future, more than you can imagine or will ever know. Acknowledge this influence is possible. Accept it. And trust God with the spiritual legacy you're giving to future generations. In many cultures, there is a reverence for the ancestors. But yet, many of the distortion patterns that keep us stuck come from what our ancestors experienced before us. Can we move beyond those old distortion patterns and have a different and more positive relationship with our lineage and ancestors? In this episode, we talk about how our relationship with our lineage shifts as our vibration level rises and the trippy consequences of what happens when we start to clear the distortion patterns of the lineages of our past or alternate lives (whoa—black belt!). The Group Frequency Calibration® (GFC) associated with this episode will help you to start to be able to discern your lineage patterns so you can start to clear them! Without clearing these often very thick and numerous lineage distortions, we can get stuck in the same patterns of what has passed before us.
