Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land's I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference's games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. Jordan tried to warn everyone that unless Iowa figured out their offense they would end up losing. No one expected that loss to come to Purdue but thats exactly what happened. Purdue dominated No. 2 Iowa leading to their first loss and Purdue being ranked for the first time since 2007. Despite some close games against top teams Nebraska couldn't win the game they needed to for bowl eligibility to stay a realistic option leading the guys to discuss if it's finally time to fire Scott Frost. Michigan State survives a tough Indiana team and Jordan's dream is still alive. We are one Michigan win from an undefeated match up between top ten ranked Michigan and Michigan State. Despite, or because of, their success is this the last year for Mel Tucker at Michigan State? With LSU firing Coach Orgeron, Tucker could be a candidate for one of the best jobs in all of college football. It's another limited slate with only five games due to bye weeks but Dante and Jordan preview a few of next weeks games. Can Michigan stay undefeated? Will Purdue keep winning and defeat a stumbling Wisconsin team? and can Indiana out a scare into Ohio State? In their weekly pitstop Jordan discusses his disdain for the Big Ten's lack of effort in trying to recruit, develop and maintain good Quarterbacks. Dante talks about referees in college and the NFL. Why is no one holding them accountable and what changes need to be made to make the sport more enjoyable. Land-Grant Holy Land's newest podcast, ‘Bucketheads' takes you on a journey across the college basketball landscape every episode. The only basketball-focused podcast in the LGHL family of podcasts, co-hosts Connor Lemons and Justin Golba give the latest scoop on the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as all the other happenings in the college hoops world. During this week's episode, Connor and Justin recap some of the things we learned from Ohio State's media day last week, including injury updates and the progression of some of the younger players. They also talk about Ohio State's opponent for this year's “secret” scrimmage, which is not —and is never — actually a secret. The guys also discuss why the Buckeye Nuthouse selling out student tickets in one hour is such a remarkable feat. Finally, Connor closes with a raunchy and slightly concerning story about former Utah and St. Louis head coach Rick Majerus, who was... well... not shy about his body, we can say. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. Is this the greatest Big Ten season ever? Maybe, maybe not but it is one of the most exciting in recent memory. There are five legitimate contenders for the throne and this weekend the first domino fell. After Sean Clifford exited the game due to injury Iowa mounted a comeback and won a top five match up. Michigan beats Nebraska in a instant classic that goes down to the final minute, while Michigan State and Ohio State continue to dominate. In this episode, Jordan and Dante discuss the implications of Iowa victory of Penn State. While reviewing last weeks games they try and determine who the best team of the top five are. Is Michigan State better then Michigan sense they played better against Rutgers? Has Scott Frost done enough to keep his job? The guys get into all that and more. Stroud has played out of his mind for the last few weeks as the offense looks completely unstoppable, while the defense has make real, tangible changes under Matt Barnes to correct a lot of the issues that ailed them earlier in the year. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. Post homecoming, Dante and Jordan spend this episode trying to answer some big questions facing the Big Ten. Michigan blows out Wisconsin and Jordan is ready to believe they're a good team, but how good? No one knows. If you're Michigan are you okay with another 10-2 season while losing to your rivals? Penn State keeps winning and Iowa destroys Maryland leading to a MAJOR showdown next week. #3 Iowa from #4 Penn State, is this the biggest game in Big Ten history? The Big Ten only has five games this week due to a bunch of teams having bye weeks so there is not a lot to watch for. Which Nebraska team will show up when they play Michigan? Can Ohio State replicate their success and blow out Maryland or will Maryland recover from their 7 turnover performance? In their weekly pit stops Jordan celebrates the Colts finally getting a win and has some fun at Clemson's expense. Dante disagrees with another Top 25 ranking and makes his case to become an overpaid sports analyst. Follow us on twitter: Jordan - @jordanw330 Dante - @dantem10216 Learn more about your ad choices. Stroud is pretty darn good, as Ohio State beat up on Rutgers 52-13 — and it could have been a heck of a lot worse if Ryan Day didn't show mercy to former OSU coordinator Greg Schiano by emptying the bench. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. Week 1 in the B1G is over. OSU outlast Minnesota and showcases their insane ability to hit big plays. Led by their defense Iowa dominates Indiana and makes their case to be the best team in the B1G. Dante and Jordan go back and forth trying to determine are Wisconsin and Penn States defenses that good or are the respective offenses just that bad. In a surprise showing Rutgers and Maryland put up 61 & 52 respectively in wins, Michigan State bullies Northwestern and Illinois is the only team to lose a non-conference game with their loss to UTSA. The B1G provided us an amazing slate of games and we couldn't wait to discuss them. As we look forward to next week the B1G has some BIG non-conference games and a bunch of pay games. Ohio State welcomes future #1 pick Kayvon Thibodeaux and his Oregon team into the Shoe. Michigan looks to change the narrative with a dominant win over Washington and Iowa hopes to continue their win streak against in state rival Iowa state. In their weekly pit stops Jordan discusses Clemson's loss to Georgia and why they have been overrated for the past 2 or 3 years. Dante celebrates the fact that Alabama is unreal and looks like the favorites to win another national championship Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

In the first recap episode of "Hangout in the Holy Land" of the 2021 season, Gene Ross and Josh Dooley get into all of the ups and downs from Ohio State's 45-31 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Thursday night. While there were some familiar issues on the defense, given the injuries and the bizarre rotation, there were plenty of things on that side of the ball to be encouraged by. The offense struggled in the second quarter, but the unit looked strong the rest of the game, and for his struggles on seemingly easy passes, C.J. Stroud put up pretty impressive numbers in his starting debut, Chris Olave continued to show why he's the No. 1 wide receiver in the country, and Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson proved that they are legit home run hitters at running back. During the offseason the Bucketheads will release an episode once every two weeks, with the structure shifting to weekly as we get closer to college basketball season. During what normally would be an off-week for the Buckethead podcast, Connor and Justin decided to record a bonus episode dedicated wholly and completely to the TBT bracket. With games tipping off this Friday, our resident basketball writers run through the bracket and make their picks — and include some very interesting upsets. Justin is a big fan of 12th-seeded SCD Hoops in the Illinois region, and Connor has 15-seed WoCo Showtime winning a few more games than he probably should have. Take it with a grain of salt though, because the question “Who is this?” came up more than a few times. The fellas also give you all the information you need to join both the TBT and Land-Grant Holy Land bracket challenges, where you can win cryptocurrency, Carmen's Crew attire, and shoes! The hosts are new, but the sarcasm hasn't changed a bit. Join Gene Ross and Josh Dooley all year long as they break down everything going on in Buckeye Nation on Land-Grant Holy Land's flagship podcast. On today's episode of Hangout in the Holy Land, Gene and Josh get you caught up on all the latest Ohio State news from over the weekend, including the latest Buckeye football commitment and the newest member of the OSU men's hoops team. They do a little breakdown of each player and what they could mean to their respective teams both in the recruiting world and how they impact the rosters. They then jump into this week's theme here at Land-Grant Holy Land: What if? The guys discuss a handful of Ohio State hypotheticals, including what would have happened if J.T. Barrett didn't get injured in the final game of the 2014 regular season and the different scenarios that may have played out in the B1G title game that year and beyond, as well as what would the plan of attack be if Ryan Day were to pursue an NFL head coaching job at the conclusion of the 2021 season and the candidates we would want to see looked at to coach the Buckeyes. On LGHL's Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Kelsey Trainor talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today. On this week's edition of Play Like a Girl, Meredith was joined by guest co-host, Megan Husslein, one of the new writers for Land Grant Holy Land. And because it's summer, what else did they get to talk about but...tennis! That's because Wimbledon's happening this week, and Ash Barty looks to be the serious favorite to win it all this year. Plus, there's Olympic tennis to look forward to in just a few weeks (and a very special welcome back to Naomi Osaka).  The pair also took a rare turn to the baseball diamond to talk the All-Star selection of Angels pitcher/DH Shohei Ohtani...yes, you read that right. Ohtani is the first MLB player to make the All-Star game as both a pitcher and DH.  Contact Kelsey Trainor Twitter: @meganhusslein Contact Meredith Hein Twitter: @MeredithHein Learn more about your ad choices.
