Greetings, fellow Bastardo! This week we have Larry Webster on the show! Besides being Phil's indirect "corporate overlord," boss at Hagerty, Larry is also the Editor-in-Chief of Hagerty Media. He's also responsible for the creation of the Hagerty Bull Market List, which recently came out with its 6th version (the Bull Market list is a bit of a "hey, we think these cars are primed for a jump in value based on our data"). Since he tends to be ahead of the curve with these things, Phil's the perfect person to poke and prod Larry for some clues and hints about what cars are up next for a jump in value. Turkey day approaches, and as the warm weather goes away, the good deals are back in play. The watercooled Porsche 986 Boxster and 996 911 appear to have watered down, with two recent examples crossing the block at astoundingly reasonable prices. Among those reasonable results are a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300SL and a 1959 Land Rover Series II 88. But on the other end of the spectrum, new records continue to be set on the top end of the market as an Ex-Schumacher 2003 Ferrari F2003 GA F1 car sold for over $14,000,000! Dave and Larry contrast the deals with a $250,000 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 and a nearly $4M Bugatti Chiron with several days to go. From low-priced to lavish, today's episode has it all. Join us for a fun conversation between Hagerty's Senior Vice President of Media and Editorial, Larry Webster, and Tom Taylor, Vice President of Marketing at RockAuto.com. RockAuto is an online, family business founded in 1999 by automotive engineers with two goals: Liberate information hidden behind the auto parts store counter (by listing all available items and product specifications on RockAuto.com, not just what one store stocks or one counter-person knows) Make auto parts affordable (by remaining a strictly online company, they have no store locations, no counter-people, and don't have a lot of money tied up in slow-moving inventory. They pass on those savings with lower prices so cars of all ages can be reliable and fun to drive.) Need a part for your ride? Chances are RockAuto.com has it!

Step inside for a paradigm shifting talk with Dr. Arno Burnier. He is a pillar of the philosophy of life and his mission is to elevate the consciousness of humanity through the art of chiropractic. We discuss why consciousness is the new currency, why the world is seeking a vitalistic philosophy of life, the broken archaic sickness and disease model, children and chiropractic care, when we should start our health journey, the 'endless vacation,' life on purpose, public speaking, and much more... If you've lost your way or you're living in fear, then this conversation will help you get back on track... Originally from Paris France, Dr. Burnier practiced full time for 20 years in Yardley PA, and part-time for 20 years in Durango, CO. He started Children and Chiropractic with Joe Margolies and Larry Webster, which later became the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association. He is the Founder of MLS Seminars, Masterpiece seminars, Cafe of Life vitalistic practice model, and an internationally renowned speaker.
Guests: Drs. James Thompson and Sarah Hogan, chiropractors practicing as a team in Meaford, Ontario who specialize in family care and optimizing early childhood neurological development. In this episode, we will cover: What Primitive Reflexes are and what they are important to your baby’s brain development A timetable of when primitive reflexes are supposed to be there and when they are supposed to go away (or be “integrated”) What happens if a reflex isn’t there in your baby and what you can do about it Resources mentioned in the conversation: Link to the ICPA website: http://icpa4kids.org/ Link to their Salutometrics program for doctors: https://www.salutometrics.ca/ About Dr. James Thompson: Dr. James Thompson’s journey in chiropractic service began in 1975 when he graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He has operated a family wellness practice in Meaford Ontario since that time. His approach to chiropractic service in terms of both philosophy and technique has been influenced by two giants of the chiropractic profession with whom he worked closely. The first was Dr. J. Clay Thompson who developed a special type of adjusting able which made spinal correction easier on both the doctor and the patient. Clay Thompson also created a system of spinal analysis whereby by observing where in the human body misalignments of the spine were causing nervous system irritation the chiropractor could know how to correct the spine most efficiently. The second influence was Dr. Larry Webster, who is said to be the grandfather of chiropractic pediatrics. James Thompson taught with Dr. Webster for many years and from him learned many special methods of adjusting baby’s spines. During those years he also many children recover from seemingly impossible conditions. Dr. Thompson is married with two children of his own and he cherishes the time he spends teaching other chiropractors as he serves as one of the teaching team for the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association About Dr. Sarah Hogan: Dr. Sarah Hogan is a 2013 graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While attending Dr. Thompson’s ICPA module, she found a great mentor. Dr. Thompson has helped shape her to become the chiropractor she is today. Since then, Dr. Sarah and Dr. Thompson have worked side by side in practice in Ontario and in teaching together around the world. As a team, they have also created, developed and launched the new SalutoMetric program, helping chiropractors confidently examine infants. Personally she enjoys living an active and healthy lifestyle where fitness and healthy eating are high priorities for her.
The Green Book, History Repeats, was written in 1951, by BJ Palmer. It talks about how chiropractic as a profession always seems to be making the same mistakes. Dr. Larry Webster in the 1980's mentioned this fact in an old ICPA video, and today, we face the same challenges. Webster knew pediatrics was the most rewarding specialization, but also knew it was filled with potential detours that can sidetrack our ability to help the children who need it the most....

Do you love hot rods, vintage cars and going really fast? In this episode, Larry Webster, Editor-in-Chief at Hagerty Magazine, talks about all three with Mark Stielow. An engineer and manager at General Motors, Mark has been called the "Godfather" of the Pro-Touring movement, and he still builds cars out of his garage. "To me, a pro-touring car is just kind of taking an older car that you like the esthetics of and you harden it...to perform better and be more reliable," says Mark. "You can do things with it like go on cross-country drives or to track events." Mark speaks with Larry about building a career that dovetails with his passion. He talks about racing at One Lap of America in a ’69 Camaro, and how he found the car in the pre-internet days for $2500, which launched his hot rod career. The car ended up on the cover of Car Craft Magazine. Hot Rod Magazine voted it one of top 10 cars of 1993. Mark also provides tips on buying and rebuilding cars.

King of the HillThanks to producer/animator Mike Judge, most people connect "King of the Hill" with the former Fox TV series. And though there's a lot to be said for a 12-year old cartoon series that centered on one character and his life with propane, here at Autoline any "King of the Hill" reference points to one word and one word only, and of course that word is TRUCK! And this time of year when you talk truck, you're talking about three specific trucks or SUVs -- as the case may be -- who end up as our own "Kings of the Hill," better known as the finalists for the North American Truck of the Year. That's right, twelve months have flown by and left us with the latest top three trucks voted on by the jurors of NACTOY -- the North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards. These finalists -- Ford's Explorer, Jeep's Grand Cherokee and the Dodge Durango -- have been narrowed down from a long list of top-notch candidates with the winner to be revealed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit January 10th.Joining Autoline host and original juror John McElroy to talk about these finalists and who may be crowned this year's "King of the Hill" are fellow NACTOY jurors Larry Webster from Popular Mechanics and Chris Paukert of Autoblog.com.
