Cadillac Escalade 2025 : Trop cher pour ce que c'est ? Mon verdictEssai Complet : Cadillac Escalade Platinum Sport 4x4 2025 TORQ PODCAST - Épisode 383Le LUXE Ultime à quel PRIX ?
In Podcast #350, Jessica Ray steps in as host for a vacationing John Davis. Her and the MotorWeek crew have a small constellation of vehicles to talk about, starting with two new entries into Cadillac's all-electric IQ portfolio: the OPTIQ, yes, spelled with an ‘IQ' at the end, and the Escalade IQ. Then we'll shift over to the Honda Civic Si, a name known and loved by many enthusiasts, and one that recently benefited from a model-line refresh. We'll wrap up with an all-new ride from their sister company Acura, the 2025 ADX, which makes their utility lineup bigger…by going smaller. But before that we'll focus our energy into a Lighting Round about lightning-fast EV charging tech and answer a double-header viewer question about using up all that recouped charge.
Christian joins the podcast with the GM Guru while he anxiously awaits the result of his 2012 Cadillac Escalade on BaT. How much will the Escalade sell for and will Justin be satisfied with the result? Christian and I talk about the new bill that is being presented in California, labeled as "Leno's Law". We talk smog and emissions testing and what this bill means for car enthusiasts in the State of California.
Hannah and Matt discuss Porsche's struggle to succeed in the world of electric vehicles. Plus, Hannah joins from San Francisco where she talks Dolby Atmos and the new electric Cadillac Escalade IQ. And Matt drives the Lamborghini Urus.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We also sprinkle in a fascinating historical tidbit about a 1938 Mercedes-Benz that hit a jaw-dropping 269 miles per hour, adding a touch of nostalgia to our automotive exploration.Join us as we shift gears to examine a luxury SUV powered by a formidable 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. Darren Gough is one of this country's greatest ever cricketers, having represented England and his beloved Yorkshire for decades. He won Strictly Come Dancing (twice if you believe him!) in the noughties, but these days golf is his greatest passion, along with cars of course. When it comes to motors, with Darren it's normally the bigger the better! Range Rovers, Land Rovers and even the behemoth that is the Cadillac Escalade is on his hitlist, but there have been smaller toys along the way in his more formative years. These days though, as a respectable man in his mid fifties, Darren can see himself looking quietly understated and naturally sophisticated in an Aston Martin, provided he doesn't have to pay for it. So, true to form and upholding almost every Yorkshire stereotype there is, Goughie wants to blag one, as he may have mentioned 3 or 5 times to Jason and Dave!
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport has received a significant upgrade with the introduction of the Sasquatch off-road package. Host Jack Nerad drove it just days ago and then discussed the vehicle's nuances with Bronco Sport Brand Manager Mike Weller at a special event outside Knoxville, Tennessee. We'll share that interview with you on America on the Road this week. As off-road fans know, the serious all-terrain Sasquatch package was previously exclusive to the larger Bronco, but Ford is now making it available for the Bronco Sport Badlands and Outer Banks models. It significantly enhances the vehicle's off-road capabilities with features like a twin-clutch rear-drive unit, locking rear differential, and large 29-inch Goodyear Territory All-Terrain tires, giving the likable crossover much greater off-pavement capabilities. The Bronco Sport's Sasquatch package exterior features modular steel bumpers, additional underbody protection, and revised wheel designs. Interior enhancements include an available grab handle and auxiliary switches. As Weller detailed in the exclusive interview, these updates make the Bronco Sport a more versatile small SUV that caters to outdoor enthusiasts seeking both capability and modern technology. And he'll share much more. In the news this week, Tesla Motors is returning to an old marketing scheme by offering cash for referrals. It could save you a substantial amount if you plan to buy an EV soon, and we'll have the details. There's crankiness in Detroit, as a union leader suggests that the CEO of a global automaker should resign in a dispute over the reopening of a factory. We'll tell the who's and why's on that one and what the future of the automaker might hold. The agonizingly slow rollout of the electric vehicle charging network is getting a lot of people hot under the collar. Now the federal government is poised to spend more than $500 million in that effort, and we'll tell you if it could mean you'll finally get some DC fast chargers at a convenient location near you. On a happier note, Hagerty is getting ready to display some full-size versions of classic Hot Wheels vehicles on the National Mall in Washington, DC. We'll tell you when that will happen and share some Hot Wheels stories, too. In our road tests this week, Co-Host Chris Teague got a very early chance to drive Infiniti's all-new full-size 2025 QX80. Does it have the goods to play in the big leagues of full-size luxury SUVs like the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator and Grand Wagoneer? Teague will share his opinion. Across the country, Jack Nerad spent the past week testing the enhanced Volkswagen ID.4 Pro S, a very appealing revamp of the battery-electric-powered U.S.-built compact crossover SUV. Delivering more miles on a charge, the Pro S version of the vehicle might be the best combination of range, performance, charging ability and value VW has ever offered. Nerad will have all the details coming up. In all, we have a ton of show this week. Thanks for joining us. America on the Road is brought to you by Driving Today.com, Mercury Insurance, and EMLandsea.com , the publisher of Nerad's latest book, Dance in the Dark, which is available HERE on Amazon.com

WWJ auto analyst John McElroy reports the new Cadillac Escalade has a radar in its doors.
Vais a alucinar. 10.

It isn't Pi day if we don't mention it, and we are excited to ask Michael Wood what his favorite “pie” is. Today, we are all in the EV space chatting about broadening lineups for Hyundai, VW, and Jaguar.Hyundai is gearing up to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the IONIQ 9, a first-of-its-kind three-row electric SUV from the automaker. Tim Jones - Confesses to Killing his Five Children Full Length Police Interrogation Tim Jones confesses to killing his five children in interview audio played during trial In an audio recording of a police interview played during the trial of Tim Jones contains his confession of killing his five children. LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - After more than three weeks of testimony, a jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Timothy Jones, Jr., a Lexington County man accused of murdering his five children in 2014. The jury concluded that Jones has been found guilty on all five counts of murder in the deaths of his children. The second phase of the proceedings is the sentencing phase and that will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. Because the state is seeking the death penalty, the jury is now responsible for determining his punishment. The jury had four options for their verdict: guilty, guilty but mentally ill, not guilty by reason of insanity, or not guilty. Jones pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. A grand jury indicted Jones, Jr. in 2014 on five counts of murder in the deaths of his children – Mera, 8; Elias, 7; Nahtahn, 6; Gabriel, 2; and Abigail, 1. For Mera, Elias, Gabriel, and Abigail, the indictments state the children were killed “by means of strangulation and/or other violent means or instruments.” The bodies of the children were found in garbage bags off of a dirt road in Alabama. Jones, Jr. led authorities to the bodies after being arrested in Mississippi. Jones, who appeared to be under the influence at the time of his arrest, was questioned at the checkpoint by a Smith County, Miss. deputy about an odor of chemicals coming from his vehicle. After further investigation, the deputy found what appeared to be chemicals used to make meth and a street drug known as “Spice.” Investigators also said his Cadillac Escalade was blood-soaked and “smelled of death.”

Like the Cadillac Escalade from a few weeks ago, GMC's body-on-frame SUV is predictably posh on its upmarket trim variants. Also like Cadillac's Escalade, the GMC Yukon is based on the General Motors body-on-frame platform that underpins a Chevrolet analog. Like the rest of this GM family of SUVs, the Yukon entered its fifth generation in '21 and ditched its rear stick axle. Now sporting an independent rear suspension, the Yukon Denali's air suspension makes for an even smoother ride. The Yukon Denali comes with 6.2 liters of V8 power under the hood, which sends 420 hp and 460 lb-ft through a ten-speed transmission. Of course, the entry-level Yukon models come with the smaller 5.3-liter V8 as standard equipment, but the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel I6. On this episode of Quick Spin Hearst Autos Gear Team member Jon Langston hopped behind a Super Cruise equipped Yukon Denali. Langston takes you on a guided tour of a '23 Yukon Denali and highlights some of his favorite features. Langston also takes you along for a live drive review. Adding to these segments, Langston chats with host Wesley Wren about the Yukon Denali, his experience on a 1,600-mile road trip, and more. Closing the show, the pair break down what makes the 2023 Yukon Denali special.
Cadillac's Escalade might not have always carried the weight of legendary models like Brougham or Biarritz. However, after two decades sitting atop luxury SUV sales charts, and becoming a part of popular American culture, the Escalade has easily risen to the heights of Cadillac's best-known nameplates. With that ascension comes lofty expectations. Entering its fifth generation in 2021, the Escalade adds an independent rear suspension, alongside a host of consumer-facing tech features like a massive media screen. The three-row SUV still rides on a ladder frame and packs a standard 6.2-liter V8 under the hood, or an optional 3.0-liter diesel. On this episode of Quick Spin, Autoweek's Patrick Carone hops behind the wheel and puts the 2023 Cadillac Escalade through its paces. Carone takes you on a guided tour of the Escalade before taking you along for a live drive review. Adding to the show, Carone chats with host Wesley Wren about the Escalade, the competition, and more. They also discuss the evolution of the Escalade nameplate, and where it will go in the future. Closing the show, the pair breaks down what makes the 2023 Cadillac Escalade special.

Wednesday and wheels up for us as we delve deep into Colorado's controversial proposal to charge owners of large, pedestrian-unfriendly vehicles. We also unpack the surge of affordable EV leases under $400 a month and the impact of the expanded UAW strike on GM and Stellantis. Not long after GM announced their Q3 earnings the UAW has initiated a strike at General Motors' high-profit SUV plant in Texas, impacting the production of key models and deepening the financial blow to the Detroit 35,000 workers at GM's Arlington Assembly in Texas were ordered to strike by UAW President Shawn Fain. This plant manufactures the Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade.UAW President Shawn Fain said "Another record quarter, another record year. As we've said for months, record profits equal record contracts. It's time GM workers, and the whole working class, get their fair share."GM responded by expressing disappointment in the UAW's decision, highlighting that they had increased their previous proposal's value to the union by 25% just last week. The UAW's strike expansion also affected Stellantis' profitable Sterling Heights Assembly in Michigan yesterday, which produces Ram 1500 pickups.A proposed bill in Colorado seeks to introduce a “vulnerable road user protection registration fee” for heavier vehicles, with the intent to funnel the revenue into pedestrian and bike safety projects. The fee aims to generate around $20 million annually. However, even a 9,000-lb vehicle like the Hummer EV would only be subjected to an extra fee of $29.90 each year. The fee will only be charged Colorado's 12 most populated counties, where most pedestrian and bicycle accidents occur.State Senator Lisa Cutter said that “Data shows us that higher vehicle weights directly correlate with vulnerable road user deaths. It just makes sense to tie funding to that."Electric vehicles won't be exemptrom the registration fee.In 2024, Washington D.C. will raise registration fees based on weight: from $155 to $500 for over 6k lbs, from $155 to $250 for over 5k lbs, and from $115 to $175 for 3500-5k lbsA range of automakers are now offering electric vehicle leases for under $400 a month, making EVs more accessible to the average consumer and ramping up competition in the market.Multiple automakers including Nissan, Hyundai, and Kia are offering leases for electric vehicles like the 2023 Nissan LEAF, Hyundai Ioniq 6, and Kia Niro EV for under $400 per month. Some buyers are utilizing a "1-day lease" The lease tax "loophole" allows all vehicles to access benefits, irrespective of the $7,500 IRA tax credit income eligibility. Lease it for one day, they buy out the lease. The request from Aguas Vivas Centro Familiar de Adoracion initially sought a 10,000-square-foot building, but the Planning Commission stipulated it should not exceed 5,000 square feet. The church representatives brought a 6,800-square-foot proposal to the commission, arguing that the smaller size would not meet their needs. Opposition to the church primarily came from the Mableton Improvement Coalition, citing concerns about traffic and noise in a residential area. The board rejected the application due to the mismatch with the land use category and concerns about future expansion. Story 6: engram The Jacksonville Jaguars have reached a three-year contract agreement with tight end Evan Engram, who was franchise-tagged by the team. The financial details were not disclosed, but it is reported to be a $41.25 million deal with $24 million fully guaranteed. Engram, a Hillgrove High Alum, who would have earned $11.345 million on the franchise tag, had a productive season in 2022 with 73 catches for 766 yards and four touchdowns. He previously played for the New York Giants and has recorded 335 receptions for 3,594 yards and 20 touchdowns in his career. Three players remain on franchise tags: Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard, and Josh Jacobs.
