In 2014 two friends left Europe for a trip to Panama. They planned on backpacking, doing some charity work and picking up some of the Spanish language while they were at it. Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon, both in their early 20s, disappeared on April 1, 2014, while on a hiking trip in the Boquete region of Panama. They were last seen on a trail in the dense jungle near the Continental Divide. The case drew international attention due to the mysterious circumstances surrounding their disappearance. The two women had been staying with a host family in Boquete and had planned a short hike to the El Pianista trail, a popular hiking route in the area. However, they never returned.Their disappearance sparked a massive search effort involving local authorities, volunteers, and even Dutch forensic experts. Despite extensive searches of the rugged terrain, no sign of the women was found for several months. Then, on June 22, 2014, local residents discovered a backpack belonging to Kris and Lisanne near the banks of the Culebra River. Inside the backpack were some of their personal belongings, including a camera, two cell phones, sunglasses, and a water bottle. The discovery of the backpack raised more questions than answers, as its contents provided few clues as to what had happened to the women.Over the following weeks, additional items belonging to Kris and Lisanne were found scattered along the riverbank. Then, on July 1, 2014, partial remains belonging to both women were discovered in the dense jungle not far from where the backpack was found. The condition of the remains and other evidence found at the scene suggested that the women had likely succumbed to the harsh conditions of the jungle after becoming lost or injured during their hike. However, the exact circumstances of their deaths remain a subject of debate and speculation.Numerous theories have been proposed to explain what happened to Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon, ranging from the possibility of an accident or exposure to the elements to more sinister explanations involving foul play or abduction. Despite extensive investigations by both Panamanian and Dutch authorities, no definitive conclusion has been reached, leaving the case shrouded in mystery and intrigue.(commercial at 11:08)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:https://www.the-sun.com/news/5342719/chilling-photos-found-camera-missing-hikers-panama-jungle/
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The story that camera told was nothing short of an ambiguous nightmare. To this day, no one knows exactly what happened to Kris and Lisanne. Theories are plentiful in this case, but simple facts are elusive and hard to uncover. Keep your wits about your fiends, because this episode is a real journey, one that I hope we all return from. In March 2014, the parents of Lisanne Froon and Kris Kremers waved their daughters off at Amsterdam's Schipol Airport as they embarked on a trip of a lifetime to Central America. A month later they received the news that no parent wants to hear. The young women had gone missing and no one had a clue where they could be. In a departure from my usual coverage of British murder cases, I bring you an off-season collaboration episode that delves into a mysterious and highly debated case from the Republic of Panama, Central America. Mark and Bethan join me from the excellent Seeing Red true crime podcast, with Mark telling us the story of Dutch students Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon, who disappeared on April 1, 2014, whilst hiking the El Pianista Trail in the country's mountain town of Boquete. Two months later, the remains of whom most people accept belonged to the two women were found, including a pelvic bone and a foot still inside a boot. Lisanne's appeared to have decomposed naturally, but strangely, Kris' bones were stark white, as if they had been bleached. Their causes of death have never been determined. A backpack recovered by a local contained a camera with 90 photos taken on April 8 between 1 am and 4 am. Most of the images are of near-complete darkness. However, some slightly clearer ones, including one showing the back of what's believed to be Kris's head, have led to debates over who took them and what happened to the two women. I recently appeared on an episode of Seeing Red when I told Mark and Bethan the tragic story of the murder of Orianna Crilly-Cifrova. Lots of crazy life updates going on over here, partnered with so much manifestation for better days to come in this intro!!Morgan starts us off by covering the haunting history of the Welles House in Wilkes-Barre, PA! This home is often compared to the Amityville House... yeah, not good besties!! The home is said to bring hauntings and tragedies to anyone who lives there, which is probably why it was sold for literally $1 in its third auction! Thankfully, the home was purchased in 2014 by a PROFESSIONAL Ghost Hunter/Paranormal Investigator, who determined that no soul should live in such a demonic home... but then turned around and sold it... for someone to live in... yeah, idk? Here is the ZILLOW LINK, if you're curious!! Taylar then covers the extremely complex case of the Mysterious Deaths of Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon in Panama! These two Dutch girls were preparing to kick off 4 weeks of volunteering at a local school, when they went on a hike to a nearby volcano on April 1, 2012 and never returned. Two Months later, their remains were found scattered on the banks of a river, 95 miles away from their host family's home and an 8 hour hike away from the location they were last seen. Many believe that they simply got lost in the rainforest, but others believe that foul play was involved. Though this case is crowded with Theories and many other details, Taylar decided to pose only the most researched and substantiated theories in this case for the purpose of her reporting and overall clarity. Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon had been saving up for six months to take a fun friends trip together to Panama. They were hoping to learn Spanish, volunteer with children, and enjoy exploring a new country. Two weeks into their 6-week trip, though, the two would go hiking on the El Pianista trail. This would be the last thing the two Dutch students did in Panama, and their deaths remain a mystery to this day. Click here to join our Patreon. Click here to get your own Inhuman merch.
