Are women weaker in any way? Is that what 1 Peter 3 teaches? Do they have roles that can be described as weaker? Based on insights from Genesis 3:16 Bruce responds to Lauren's questions in Part 2 of this replay from her livestream to her 20,000 followers.Bruce is interviewed by Lauren who was a Jane Doe in the Bill Gothard lawsuit. Based on a recent survey she asks, How mistranslations and misinterpretations of the key passages on women and men have been weaponized? Should these passages be mistrusted or should those wayward teachings and their proponents by mistrusted? In Part Two of this interview Lauren asks Bruce about more troubling passages. What about 1 Peter 3:1-7? What about Ephesians 5:15-6:9?Go Deeper? Bruce has written four volumes in The Eden Book Series. He refers to Book 4 (on 1 Corinthians 11 & 14 and 1 Peter 3), and Book 2 (on Ephesians 5-6) in this episode. All four are based on his doctoral research and that of Joy Fleming. “1 Corinthians 11:2-16 | The Design of God for Male Headship” from Lakeshore Baptist Church by Pastor David Green. Released: 2024. Genre: Preaching. The post 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 | The Design of God for Male Headship appeared first on Lakeshore Baptist Church.
In his book, The Silver Chair, C.S. Lewis tells an interesting story about a dilapidated school run by a woman trying to be a Head. She is a picture of what happens when women are wrongly put in places of rule, and how weaponized empathy controls an environment—and eats it alive. We'll talk about male headship, why it is necessary, and why women aren't made to rule in home, church, or society.Sign up for the New Christendom Press Conference in June 2024.Join the Patreon exclusive membership.10 Ways to Make Money with Your MAXX-D Trailer.Alpine Gold Exchange Website: alpinegoldogden.comSet Up a Meeting: https://calendly.com/alpinegold/alpine-gold-consultationTalk to Joe Garrisi about managing your wealth with Backwards Planning Financial.Sign up for Barbell Logic.Follow Ekklesia Design on social media or visit www.ekklesiadesign.com today to learn more.Visit https://premierbodyarmor.com/hardmen and use promo code HARDMEN for 10% off your order. In this episode we discuss Gender: Male and Female.
Similar to the modern American church, the church of Corinth had begun to blur and obfuscate genders, including the heart with which male and females arrived for worship. In this passage, Paul clarifies the proper church order for men and women, based on God's created design, and in the Godhead itself.

It's undeniable that the Bible explicitly teaches that a husband is the "head" of his wife. While church history has pretty much always believed this means the husband is the primary leader in the marriage and household, there has been serious pushback against this view from egalitarian scholars in more recent years. Time Stamps!! 0:00 - Intro 1. 10:33 - Part 1: Medical Claims That "Head" Means "Source" 2. 31:47 - Part 2: Bible Context Claims That "Head" Doesn't Imply "Authority" 3. 54:20 - Part 3: Church History Argument 4. 1:01:10 - Part 4: The Battle of Lexicons; does kephale mean authority? 5. 1:33:33 - Conclusions Their basic contention is that "head" doesn't mean what you probably think it means when you read it in Scripture as the description of the relationship between husbands and wives. They tend to offer 4 main arguments to support their case:1) In the Greek speaking world of New Testament times, general medical opinion was that the heart or liver controlled the body while the head was merely the "source" of nutrition. The egalitarians say that we need to factor in this popular medical understanding of "head" or we will mistakenly think the husband is the leader of his wife.2) Egalitarian scholars say that when you look carefully at Paul's use of the metaphor "head" and the specific context of the passages when it is used, you come to see that Paul is NOT meaning to imply anything about authority, but is speaking of nourishment or source. For instance, they will say that man is the source of woman in the sense that Eve was formed from Adam. Adam was her source.3) Surprisingly, some Egalitarians will actually share a quote from Chrysostom to show that one of the church fathers understood perfectly well that this term "head" didn't mean to imply authority. Catherine Kroeger, founder of CBE promotes this view, and many echo her.4) Finally, we get to the biggest one. They will claim that the Greek word translated "head" really means "source" and not "authority." I've found that egalitarians will repeatedly make very similar claims that ancient lexicons do not support the meaning of "authority" and that one very respected lexicon in particular (the LSJ) defends their case. I'm going to analyze each of these claims to see what the Bible really says about husbands being the head of their wives. This is super important, because it doesn't just impact who is in church leadership, it impacts every single marriage in the body of Christ! I can't overstate the practical impact of getting this topic wrong, so I have spent a ton of time gathering and, more importantly, researching to properly vet and test egalitarian claims about male headship. I'll give you the spoiler here in the description. On every single point they are very wrong, and even putting out blatant misinformation. I'll provide both analysis and evidence to support all this in today's video. After years of being a bit confused about the topic of women in ministry, I set out to spend months researching the topic in great detail to produce this exhaustive teaching series on the topic. This is just part 8.

A brief overview of covenantal headship from Genesis 1-26
It has been about 3 or 4 years now that I was exposed to the term “servant-leadership,” It was put in the context that men are to be like Christ in laying down His life for the Church. That man would need to “lay down their life for their wives .”And while I agree that if an intruder was entering my house to cause harm, my husband would indeed lay down his life for me, I know this. And I am sure most wives would be sure of the same. (except maybe for John Piper. Another blog post for that one) But that is not the context that these women were using. “Lay down their lives for their wives .”They were using it in the context that a husband should do whatever his wife needs to be happy. He is supposed to sacrifice “everything” for his wife, even his leadership. That male headship was archaic and needed to be smashed, “the patriarchy .”That a real man empathized with his wife, sacrificed his health, wealth, and manhood to accommodate his wife. What if that wife was not happy or lacking? That was the failure of her “servant-leader.” --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/patriarchywife/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/patriarchywife/support

A man's first ministry is at home, which means that he must be willing to lead at home. As Paul then instructs us in his first Epistle to Timothy the faithful man must ensure that his home is in good order and that his family is taken care of. (1 Tim 3) In fact, all throughout Paul's Epistles we see a reoccurring theme for those who lead that recognizes that strong leadership begins with strong leadership at home. This isn't always an easy or a simply thing though, especially when we witness a society that is fundamentally opposed to male headship. It is a society and a world where seeks to wrestle the leadership of the home out of the hands of men, becoming bolder and bolder with that effort. That is why we need to spend time discussing leadership in the family, what it means and what it looks like. This week we continue our discussion of leadership by talking about leadership at home during this Spiritual Manhood Roundtable.

Male headship, or Complementarianism, is the belief that women should submit to men in the household, not hold positions of authority or leadership, and should primarily exist under a man's authority. Pastor BJ has officially launched his six-part series about the Christian household. Episode 4 looks at family hierarchy and male headship. The Bible structures families in a particular way. In order for families to work well and be the places of production God designed them to be, we must follow His guidance on leadership. In episode 5, BJ will look into how the household is the fountain from which we draw our identities. Credit for Music:Aaron Rench - "Start a Fire"https://sc.lnk.to/AR-saf
How can your ministry be egalitarian, meaning that both men and women share leadership roles equally, when Scripture says that the man is to be the head of the woman (Ephesians 5:23)? The post Male Headship – FAQ appeared first on Messianic Apologetics.

I talk about the Fatherhood of God. Did you know that God established the roles of father and mother BEFORE there was ever a father and mother on the earth? We check the Scriptures to find out what God says about male headship. Controversial subject to many, but we've got to go back to the Word. Eight points in all-six in this session.

One of the primary goals of the church should be to bring the truth of God and his Word to the culture. It seems that in the wake of feminism the exact opposite has happened. Feminism has crept its way into the church and it is very slowly but surely destroying biblical manhood and woman hood. I would highly encourage you to check out the following links. Read the two articles that I (attempt) to reference, A Theological Basis for Women in Ministry and A Case for Ministry of Women. Also, I would encourage you to read Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, Male-Female Equality and Male Headship, and Responding to Evangelical Feminism. Pastor John Piper recently responded to a question about the future of 'male headship.' In this episode, Nick and Allison are joined by Dr. Jamin Hübner and they respond to Pastor John's comments, showing that Scirpture not only supports women in ministry, but that Pastor Piper is deeply mistaken. Plus, Allison does not drink any beer!

Ephesians 5:22-23, Malachi 2:13-16 Note from Chris Jolliffe on July 27, 2017: Since this sermon was preached, I would like to correct the remark I made from Ephesians 5 that a wife's submission to her husband in marriage must equate to obedience. On closer examination, this is not what Ephesians 5:33 says. Submission within marriage is more nuanced, and equates to ‘respect' (rather than always ‘obedience'). This is an important factor to bear in mind in the whole domestic violence discussion, […]
