In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we dive into 2 Peter 2:9–11, unpacking how God faithfully delivers His people from the traps of false doctrine while reserving judgment for the unjust. We explore how true justification is found only in Christ, contrasting it with the motives of false teachers who walk according to the flesh, seeking their own pleasure rather than the ways of God and the message of Jesus Christ. As we break down the text, we discuss how rejecting Christ's authority leads people down their own destructive path, and how false teachers often appeal to the supernatural to seem credible—yet even angels do not dispute their errors, because God already knows their deeds and the corruption of their doctrine.Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review If You Like To donate to this podcast you can through cashapp or email us at brothersjustsearchingpodcast@gmail.com for more infoAnything is appreciated Cashapp infoBJSmediaThis podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA. Today we're trashing feminism some more, because it obviously deserves it. Feminism is not only unbiblical, it's extremely destructive for all of society. We'll talk about why Christian podcasters like Allie Beth Stuckey shouldn't defend their feminism while claiming to follow Christ, and why Christianity itself is a patriarchy, by God's design. It's time for biblical men to stop waiting for permission from feminists and take back the authority God gave them. We'll also discuss more of the Trump administration's mistakes, including this ridiculous new 50-year mortgage idea that proves how far from wisdom our leaders have fallen.
November 5th. 2025: All Holy Relics - Part of Piety; No Authority in the World is Exempt from Divine Authority; Bl Jane Mary of Maille; Fighting Evil
October 22, 2025We reflected deeply on John chapter 8, focusing on Jesus' divine authority, His interaction with the woman caught in adultery, and His declaration as the light of the world. The discussion centered on how Jesus revealed His identity gradually and how the Pharisees' rejection reflected hardened hearts despite their knowledge of His divine origin. We explored the believer's authority in Christ, emphasizing that true authority flows from intimacy with the Word of God and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The call was clear—to study and hide the Word in our hearts so we can speak and act with divine guidance. The conversation turned to God's love and forgiveness, as we considered Jesus' response to sin—not condemnation, but grace. We reflected on daily experiences where God's presence and love are evident, from small interactions to moments of service, and how these reflect His character in us.The meeting also examined spiritual growth through the lens of humility, brokenness, and gratitude—recognizing that God fills empty vessels and works through weakness, not pride. We closed with encouragement to keep our focus on Christ's perspective, overcome pride through gratitude, and rest in the Spirit's continual guidance toward holiness and service.Themes:Jesus' divine authority and identity in John 8Grace over condemnation: the woman caught in adulteryThe believer's authority through Christ and the WordGod's patience, kindness, and daily presenceThe Holy Spirit's role in guidance and revelationSpiritual humility and brokenness as vessels for God's useOvercoming pride through gratitude and Christ-centered perspectiveThe call to gentle teaching and serviceReflection Question: In moments of failure or pride, do I respond like the Pharisees—defending myself—or like the woman—receiving grace and walking in the light of Christ's forgiveness?

God's rest isn't about inactivity but about living under His reign. Biblical rest encompasses five stages: Eden, the Tabernacle, Solomon's Temple, the Church, and ultimately the New Creation. When we misunderstand rest as merely 'turning off,' we miss that God's rest and reign are inseparable. We step out of this rest when we follow fleshly desires, engage in religious activities from wrong motives, or prioritize appearances over authentic godliness. True rest comes from living under God's authority, experiencing His presence, and anticipating His promised future. The peace we desperately seek isn't found in our chaotic world but in submission to Christ.Biblical rest is not inactivity but living under God's reign and authority.God's rest and His reign cannot be separated - wherever God rests, He also reigns.Humanity was created to live from God's rest, not for rest. When we live outside God's rest and reign, both individuals and society decay. What was lost in Eden will be restored in the new creation, giving us hope for the future.Support the show

In this episode of Uncommon Sense, we're talking about Tucker Carlson's highly discussed interview with Senator Ted Cruz. I'll be sharing my honest thoughts on how it went, why I think Tucker came out ahead, and what this kind of bold, unscripted, and unapologetically frank conversation means for the future of political discourse (spoiler: I'm all for it). We'll go into why I support constructive confrontation—yes, even when it gets "mean" and uncomfortable. The Founding Fathers didn't tiptoe around the truth, so why should we? They debated passionately because the stakes were high. The polite punditry act is wearing thin, and people are tired of political puppets mouthing safe lines. They're craving what we saw here: real conviction, real disagreement, and real questions. We'll cover why I believe Tucker won this exchange: from his biblical literacy to his serious concerns about foreign lobbying groups like AIPAC having a hand in U.S. policy. Ted got visibly nervous when pressed about Scripture, about Israel, and about U.S. involvement in a possible war with Iran. And the question still lingers: Why are we only now suddenly being pushed to act, when Trump was reportedly targeted by Iran two years ago? Most importantly, we'll reflect on Tucker's question—a theological one with deep political ramifications: Who is the real Israel according to God? Is it the modern state that does not believe Jesus is Lord and historically has required a denial of Christ for Jewish returnees? Or is it the true church—those who belong to Christ?I'll share my belief unapologetically: Israel is the body of believers in Jesus Christ. Not those who reject Him. Not those who crucified Him. That's a hard truth, but a necessary one in these last days when clarity very much matters.Faith shouldn't be a popularity contest.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOorwAVEYslTlOGA-36_bHHjruNDOebEKWQ6M2115NZZwL8WG_ali

Christ is king, but not like any other king. His authority comes from a completely different way of conceptualizing power. The constrained vision of authority as a permanent power struggle is something Christ totally side-steps, and that changes how we understand Him, our role in the world, and our role in our homes.Listen in to find out more! Jesus reveals the profound unity between Himself and God the Father. He explains that He does nothing on His own but only what He sees the Father doing, reflecting a perfect harmony in their divine work. Jesus asserts that the Father has entrusted Him with the authority to give life and to judge all humanity, highlighting that honoring the Son is inseparable from honoring the Father. He prophesies a future resurrection where the faithful will rise to eternal life, while those who have done evil will face judgment. To affirm His divine mission, Jesus points to multiple witnesses: the testimony of John the Baptist, the miraculous works He performs, the sacred Scriptures, and the direct testimony of God Himself. Through these, He urges the people to believe in Him, for in Him lies the promise of eternal life. The Rev. Bryan Stecker, pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Waconia, MN, joins guest host Rev. David Boisclair to study John 5:19-47. The Gospel of John takes us on a journey through the Good News of Jesus in a unique way. It reveals Jesus as the incarnate son of God from eternity. From His miraculous signs to His profound "I Am" statements, we witness Jesus offering living water to the thirsty, light to those in darkness, and life to the dead. But this is also a story of conflict: Jesus is relentlessly pursued by those who reject Him, yet He willingly goes to the cross, showing the depths of God's love. As we travel from His first miracle to His ultimate victory over death, John invites us to see and believe—that in Jesus, we find eternal life and the very presence of God among us. Connect to God's revealing Word in this series that uncovers the rich, layered truths of John's Gospel and the unshakable hope it offers. Thy Strong Word, hosted by Rev. Dr. Phil Booe, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church of Luverne, MN, reveals the light of our salvation in Christ through study of God's Word, breaking our darkness with His redeeming light. Each weekday, two pastors fix our eyes on Jesus by considering Holy Scripture, verse by verse, in order to be strengthened in the Word and be equipped to faithfully serve in our daily vocations.
