The process of curating this final entry in the series has been anything but smooth—starting and stopping more times than I'd like to admit. Normally, I prefer to have everything in place and finish a set in one go, but the lack of standout releases made this a real challenge. That's not to say there aren't any gems in this mix. Quite the opposite—through persistence and digging deep across DJ services, Beatport, and even Spotify, I uncovered tracks that truly move me. And if they move me, I know they'll bring my followers to the dancefloor. Party Favorz doesn't stop until the job is done. This set features several updated throwbacks, many of which are making waves on DJ charts, while others may have flown under the radar—until now. As always, Party Favorz is here to bring the best to light. Highlights include: Diplo's rework of Gala's '90s Eurodance anthem "Freed From Desire." David Timothy's fresh take on Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms." Tommy MC's reimagining of Jody Watley's '80s classic "Don't You Want Me." Stuart Ojelay's heavenly spin on Danny Tenaglia's "Music Is the Answer." Stone Van Brooken's faithful update of Faithless' "Insomnia." Block & Crown's transformation of The Fugees' "Ready or Not" into a House anthem. TLC's celebratory House remix of their hit "Creep" for CrazySexyCool's 30th anniversary. Cosmic Dawn's Afro House remix of Everything But the Girl's "Missing." Most of these reworks remain true to the original while modernizing them for today's dancefloors. Exceptions like TLC's "Creep" lean heavily into reinvention, but it works beautifully. The trend of revamping classics continues with notable remakes, such as: Ava Max's rendition of "Forever Young." Ku De Ta's "Dance I Said," sampling Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It." Alesso & John Alto's update of Yes' "Owner of a Lonely Heart." Matt Sassari & Hugel's faithful revival of Sonique's "It Feels So Good," featuring a new vocalist. Jax Jones, Azteck, and Norma Jean Martine's fresh take on the Rihanna riff from Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie." It seems the trend of revamping tracks from yesteryear—be it from parents' record collections or early CD libraries—is here to stay. When done right, these reworks breathe new life into the dancefloor. Clocking in at just over three hours, this set blends fresh, new releases with timeless reworks, making it a strong contender for your end-of-year holiday parties. And the fun doesn't stop here—our Top Dance Songs of the Year set drops in a few weeks,

Welcome back to PART 2 on our Crazy, Sexy, Cool journey of TLC's 2nd album. In this episode, Angie (@poetrysoul3) and Steffi (@inn_mho) breakdown the era. Like in all our Diva Dailies episodes, we give context and explain where TLC was at in their careers and why they made the album. We then discuss the controversies that plagued the group during this time including their infamous bankruptcy, boyfriend troubles, and yes - the fire incident. Because this is an era breakdown, we also introduce some new segments to the podcast: Video Killed the Radio Star (sharing our favorite music videos from the era), The Mic Is On (discussing the live performances from the era), and But We Need the Audience to Buy the Album (exploring the different marketing strategies of the artist & what sets them a part from the rest). And yes, there are A LOT of receipts, WHITNEY.Again, this is part 2 of the conversation! So make sure you listen to part 1 where we discussed the album track by track. We hope you enjoyed our TLC “CrazySexyCool” journey!Album Info: CrazySexyCool is the second studio album by American girl group TLC. It was released on November 15, 1994, by LaFace and Arista Records. The album saw the group reunite with producers Dallas Austin, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Jermaine Dupri as well as new collaborators Organized Noize and Chucky Thompson, and also featured contributions from Sean "Puffy" Combs who helped with the notable hip hop soul sound. CrazySexyCool featured hip hop beats, funk, deep grooves, propulsive rhythms and smooth production. The album's lyrical content was seen as a departure from the group's debut and was seen as a coming-of-age project which explored themes such as sexuality, romanticism, inexperience, and youthful optimism.*Email us for show notes: divadailiespod@gmail.com*Twitter & Instagram: @divadailiespod*YouTube: Diva Dailies PodcastSTEFFI'S SOCIAL MEDIA:*Twitter & Instagram: @inn_mho*YouTube: innmyhumbleopinionANGIE'S SOCIAL MEDIA:*Twitter: @poetrysoul3*YouTube: Sleepy Nerd ProductionsTIME STAMPS:- Housekeeping (01:14)- Setting Up the Episode (03:10)- Pop Corn & Pop Stars (06:47)- Spill the Technicolor Tea (13:12)- Video Killed the Radio Star (38:40)- The Mic Is On (47:46)- But We Need the Audience to Buy the Album (56:06)- Show Me the Receipts (65:10)- Impact/ Closing Thoughts (68:42)- Preview Next Week's Episode (77:07)

The title of TLC's 1994 album “CrazySexyCool” was appropriate as it defined the three members of the group individually and collectively. The group – made up of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas – lays claim as arguably (still) the most successful girl group of all time. And this album is one major reason why. It's a fierce collection of strong, confident and even risky songs that, quite frankly, female artists weren't doing at the time. “Creep” and “Waterfalls” are still radio standards to this day; the latter of which addressed dark themes such as drug/gang warfare and the AIDS crisis. With more than 12 million albums sold, “CrazySexyCool” in many ways set the standard for female group success.
