With a career spanning decades in the live experience industry, Kile has crafted a unique role for himself as a creative venture catalyst, master of spectacle and story, and a guiding force in creating emotionally resonant experiences. He has a rich history of working in diverse fields, from theme parks and global events to fundraising campaigns and theatrical productions. His approach is centered on moving audiences deeply, often leaving them profoundly impacted by the experiences he designs. In this interview, Kile talks about moving people emotionally, creating global community, and the joy of connecting. Moving People Emotionally "My filter is if I can move myself, I can move anyone." Kile Ozier's ability to craft emotionally resonant experiences stems from his deep understanding of how to engage and move an audience. He shares a powerful anecdote from an event at the Lincoln Memorial, where he designed a silent firework to coincide with a poignant moment in a tribute. The sheer silence, coupled with the emotional weight of the moment, created a collective gasp from 250,000 people—a testament to Kile's mastery in orchestrating profound emotional experiences. He emphasizes that his goal is to touch hearts in a way that feels both personal and universal, making each experience unforgettable. Creating Global Community "Creating global community through shared experience is the mission I've adopted for the rest of my life." Kile believes in the power of shared experiences to build a sense of global community. He discusses how his work often transcends mere entertainment, aiming to foster unity, peace, and a deeper understanding among people. Through his projects, whether large-scale events or intimate gatherings, Kile strives to create moments where people from diverse backgrounds come together and feel connected. He views these experiences as opportunities to subtly influence positive change and promote a sense of shared humanity. Joy of Connecting "Connecting with people is joyful." For Kile, the joy of connecting with others is at the heart of his work. He talks about the simple yet profound impact of altering how people enter a space, like guiding them through a side entrance they've never used before, to change their perspective and open them up to new experiences. This approach is part of his broader philosophy of creating comfortable disorientation, where participants feel safe yet intrigued, leading them to engage more deeply with the experience. Kile's ultimate goal is to create environments where people feel a genuine connection—to the event, to others, and themselves. If you want to learn more about Kile Ozier and his work, you can reach him at kile@kileozier.com or explore his insights further in his book, available on Amazon. Welcome back. I'd like to wish all of you out there a very happy holiday season, and I'd like to thank every one of you for tuning in to the podcast and making it a success. To show my gratitude I'm running a Black Friday sale from Black Friday through the end of the day on December 10, 2022, for 40% of any of my courses. Just use the code FRIDAY at checkout. This means you can get some of my spotlight courses for under $25. They make great stocking stuffers. You might even consider gifting yourself the masterclass. Remember, once you purchase the course, it's yours to return to as many times as you like to hone your skills as an artist. If you'd like to purchase a course as a gift, just send me an email at Caroline@passionatepainteracademy.com and I'll send you a link to download a gift certificate you can give with instructions on how to transfer the course to the recipient. Go to passionatepainteracademy.com to learn more. Today I get to introduce you to American Artist Emily Ozier. Emily, otherwise known as "EMYO" is an incredible talent. Her paintings are addicting. She tackles deep subjects with a free, loose touch that grips your attention while holding you lightly. Her paintings are buoyant with hope! Emily touches on so many important elements of her journey to becoming a professional artist. And what keeps coming to the forefront is don't worry about racing to the point where you feel you've "made it." An out-of-context look at Emily's success is pretty daunting — she's in over half a dozen galleries, she sells on commission, she sells prints, she works with a coterie of designers who buy for their clients AND she's in the middle of launching a children's book. What you'll hear from Emily's own lips, however, is that each of these elements took time. She'll be the first to tell you her own career is an evolution, and if you keep showing up, you'll find your path. And, please note that when EMYO says "for anyone who is very young in their art career" she's speaking specifically about your art career, not your age. Your art career can be young later in life if you're just getting started with making or selling your work.I think you'll find this interview as inspiring as I did. Enjoy. To read Emily's bio, get her contact information, and check out her work, check out the show notes at passionatepainterpodcast.com/episode86.

Bob Dylan sold his entire music catalog to Universal Music for more than $300MM, Paul Simon sold his to Sony Music for roughly the same, and Dolly Parton might be next. What’s behind this sudden boom? Though these recent multi-million dollar deals seem to be popping out of nowhere, the truth is, catalog sales have been booming for far longer than the past year, and have an incredibly steady history. Over the past year, however, there has seemed to be an exponential increase in music catalog sales. Could this be due to the pandemic shifting the spotlight away from the live music entertainment aspect to a new side of the industry? In this episode, music industry experts joined our host, Brian Adams, to explore specific factors that have driven recent success in the industry. Bill, Jamal and Eryn are joined by jazz musician Steve Wilson and Pulitzer Prize winning photographer, Ozier Muhammad. They talk about whether this year is the year of the black quarterback, whether this will be the last year in which the black QB is even an issue, the fallout from the Army/Navy hand gesture controversy, the current state of the NBA, and more.
Determined to finish the bloody endeavor he began, Ozier follows Krekki's intuition into Pyimir's forest.
Nulsc, running headlong into the cyclopean town, leaves Ozier and Greeg to fend for themselves, as guards, a dragon, and a petty DM try to kill the party.
Nulsc, Greeg, and Ozier step foot on the island of the dead cyclopean god Arahallin, with promise to kill his five sons. Here, they encounter Laharisfur, whose inherited breath feeds the kiln he mans with myopic attention.

Does violence increase risk aversion? Drs. Pamela Jakiela and Owen Ozier did a natural experiment by mistake. Their survey was interrupted by the Kenyan post-electoral violence: a thousand dead; thousands internally displaced. Participants had an equal chance of being interviewed before or after survey. So this enabled Pam and Owen to explore the impact of conflict on people's preferences. What did they find? Did conflict increase or decrease risk aversion? Do their survey results reflect real-world behavioural change? Does risk-aversion matter for development? Why do we need to know about people's preferences for risk aversion? Curious? Click here to read the paper and learn more: http://www.pamjakiela.com/JakielaOzier-riskpreferences-2017-08-29.pdf You can read more of Pam's work here: http://www.pamjakiela.com/ And Owen's here: http://economics.ozier.com/owen/ Thank you for listening!

Does this tool help to bridge the gap when a psychologist is missing from a multi-disciplinary team? Dr. Ozier joins host Dr. Steven Edelman to discuss overeating as a contributing factor in a patient's overall health, the impact of hyperglycemia and treatment that helps modulate behavior.
