How much does ego play a role in the art and craft of a book collaborator? That's a question at the heart of this conversation with #1 New York Times best-selling ghostwriter Rachel Holtzman, co-author of more than 60 books on topics ranging from wellness and spirituality, to cooking and entertaining, including collaborations with such celebrated personalities as Shaquille O'Neal, Alicia Silverstone, Robin Quivers, and Christine Quinn. Prior to her work as a self-described “book doula,” Rachel was an editor at Penguin Books and ELLE magazine, before a detour to culinary school and a short stint in the kitchen at New York's Gramercy Tavern helped to launch her career as an in-demand cookbook co-author and recipe tester and developer. “We're climbing inside the minds or the lives of our clients in order to produce something that is really of them,” she reflects, “while also leaving behind a pretty big footprint of our own, because it is of us as well. We're not ChatGPT.” Rachel joins us at a busy time on the collaboration front, as she celebrates the publication of four new titles this month—Tahini Baby, a collection of “veg-forward” Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired recipes, written with television food personality Edin Grinshpan; The Wishbone Kitchen Cookbook, featuring seasonal recipes from celebrity chef and style curator Meredith Hayden; Living in Wisdom, a guide to peak living, from wellness educator Devi Brown; and, Playful by Design, a parenting primer on nurturing independent play, from Myriam Sandler, creator and founder of the Mothercould lifestyle platform. It's time for the boys to talk about Private Parts. Not their private parts, or your private parts, but Howard Stern's Private Parts from 1997. Howard Stern stars in his own biopic as well as Robin Quivers and Fred Norris starring as themselves. While his popularity may be waning over the years, Stern's presence in the mid-80's to the 90's was a force to be reckoned with. Question is, how does this film hold up to the test of time?Catch new episodes of the Where to Stick It Podcast every Tuesday and Thursday. I read today the footballer Ian St John has died. Before I carry on, I am going to point out that I hate football. So why have I posted this news? The reason I have posted it, is because a few years ago he co presented a UK TV show called the Saint and Greavsie football show. A show I lived. For me, this show he presented with Jimmy Greaves was one of the funniest shows ever. They simply would go off script and talk about anything they wanted. In many ways this was the format of a podcast show. If you get a chance, go on such as YouTube and watch these two in action. The fact I hate football yet would not miss this show, clearly shows that if your good enough on your podcast people may listen even if they are not interested in the subject. Over the years, I have concluded that there are very few who have such talent to do such a show. The other two are James Whale who is still going, but would do a radio show based in Yorkshire, UK on Radio Air. They converted it once a week to TV on Yorkshire Television, but it was never as good as when he did the show on radio. People would phone in just to be insulted by him. I would often stay up till 1am to listen and would always be late for school. I have not found his old radio shows online but you can find his old TV shows. The other is Howard Stern. He has a magical way, but in fairness, I often feel Robin Quivers makes the show. In time I plan to listen to podcasts, and find who I think is great on them. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/clubpod/message

Sarah Fraser from The Sarah Fraser Show Podcast steps Behind The Rope. With her background in radio, it is no wonder Howard Stern and Robin Quivers are her idols. David rapidly agrees and a discussion ensues. Sarah shares all of the guests she has interviewed during her radio career such as Justin Bieber, Rhianna and Ashlee Simpson. Who was naughty and who was nice? Sarah tells all and the list is not at all what one would expect! There was also that one time she almost slept with our buddy Constantine Maroulis (Check out our explosive Two Part Sit Down with Constantine on August 17th, 2020 on Behind The Velvet Rope). Sarah is fascinated by the the fact that David used to work for Martha Stewart and he tells all. Kinda. Living in the DMV area, Sarah is close to all our fav Real Housewives of Potomac. She even had a falling out with Ashley Darby last year after having Candiace Dillard on her Podcast. Fear not, all is well now, but Sarah gives us a play by play of that falling out and road to recovery. She has also filmed certain RHOP episodes such as Monique Samuels’ Live Podcast Tour and Sarah is happy to take us Behind The Rope of that filming. Speaking of Monique Samuels, Sarah and David debate whether she will have a job after this season concludes due to her physical altercation with Candiace. Sarah also discussed why Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is her favorite of the franchise and why Real Housewives of New York City is her least. We also discuss The Real Housewives of DC, how it is difficult to shoot any reality show in political DC and how Rob Lowe almost had a DC based reality show. Finally, Sarah and David bond over being Podcast Hosts, discuss how far the medium has come and what is next up for both of them. 70 Movies We Saw in the 70: Ep #15—“The Groove Tube” (1974) For a yuk-by-yuk (and yuck-by-yuck) breakdown of Ken Shapiro’s pioneering, pants-dampeningly hilarious sketch-comedy classic THE GROOVE TUBE, Mike and Ben are joined by archetypal Brooklynite funnyman, ace of bassists, and former Robin Quivers massage therapist, Chad Pilieri. Beyond Chevy Chase, Koko the Klown, and the Uranus Corporation (“You can put your trust in Uranus”), talk also incorporates Buzzy Linhart’s beautifully bobbling penis; a wayward subway lady at Downtown Beirut; the line “Babs and Ray have no genitalia” as proto-rap; “hippie sloppy” vs. “punk sloppy;” Wakefield Poole’s BIJOU; and Chad’s mom taking the whole 8th grade gang to see CALIGULA
In the first part I tried to call Milos Momcilovic the Hollywood actor and my current stock market advisor not picking up the phone. The journalist from TruthQuake.com, Joe Barco, comes on as Robin Quivers and we talk about the American Riots, Omniverse Machinima, the Gays at Alex Jones Bohemian Grove and how I almost got raped by a drunk cop when I was 15 years old. This is an extreme gay episode. Two bad neighbors. I've known the Kriksciuns for a long time, since I was shoved into a gifted and talented class at age eight with their son, Al. This past Christmas, I spent a ton of time mooching delicious, homemade snack food off of them, and that sort of thing doesn't go unrewarded by this hungry, hungry hippo. Longtime listeners might remember Eva Kriksciun, who has done several episodes of the show previously. We're joined by her dad, Tom, and they both spill the beans on all sorts of family horrors as I cackle like Robin Quivers. Hope you like. Follow this episode's cast on Twitter! Last week we had ZERO celebrity guests, so we make up for that this week by having TWO. First, former sidekick on The Howard Stern Show & now the star of his own tv & radio show, Artie Lange. Artie calls us from Jersey & discusses his new book "Crash and Burn", he talks about the time he visited Robin Quivers in the hospital following cancer surgery, describes how he proposed to his fiancee & also gives advice to our listeners contemplating suicide. Then we introduce former child star, Susan Olsen. You may remember Susan as Cindy Brady from the hit television show The Brady Bunch. Susan talks about being a tv star at age 7, her pot growing & dealing days, her small footnote in porn, what cocaine is like, sending her son to jail and her small business of making chocolate that looks like dog shit. And as always, we play an exciting game of "Play it Forward" where Susan Olsen has to match wits with last week's Decently Funny guest: The star of Game of Thrones: Carice van Houten. If you're lucky enough to have your comedy or music played on The Howard Stern Show once in your lifetime, consider yourself extremely fortunate... but this week's guest has been featured on the show dozens of times, so he is an instant legend to Nuzzy and Guy. Eli Braden is not only a Robin Quivers song parody maestro, he is a super talented musician, a very funny comedian but unfortunately just like Nuzzy, a National Lampoon Twitter Awards loser. Eli recorded 75 Robin parody songs and we play a bunch. Other Robin parody genius, Little Mikey skype's in to the show for his very 1st face to face with Eli and weighs in with his opinion about The Stern Show. Eli talks about being a Twitter "celebrity sniper" and which celebrities he enjoys sniping the most. We discuss his performance at the National Lampoon Twitter Awards and then Eli breaks out his guitar and plays some original music for the boys. Anthony Anderson: I'll Be Running the NYC Marathon in 2011 Don't be surprised to find a slimmed- down Anthony Anderson nudging across the finish line at next year's New York City Marathon. The funnyman, who played Detective Kevin Bernard on Law & Order, talks exclusively with Film Festival Radio about his plans for the Nov. 6 race. “This is my word—this is the first time I'm telling anybody this publicly—I will be running in the 2011 New York City Marathon,” Anthony tells host Janice Malone. Among the celebs who ran the 2010 race were Today show weather anchor Al Roker, Howard Stern Show co-host Robin Quivers, Chilean miner Edison Pena, and almost Anthony. “I wanted to run in this year's race because I celebrated my 40th birthday and [competing] was going to be my gift to myself,” says Anthony, who marked that milestone on Aug. 15. “But I got sidetracked with so much work and couldn't do it.” In 2002, Anthony was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. So this year he's made an effort to improve his health, namely by dropping 40 pounds. He's also been helping others afflicted with the disease. During November—which is National Diabetes Awareness Month —he's working full-time as a spokesperson for the Fearless African Americans Connected and Empowered Diabetes campaign, a grassroots movement to promote awareness of diabetes throughout the African American community. I bought an instantpot last year and didn't really use it. I got distracted by smart ovens (you can now control them with your Amazon Alexa). I remembered i had the Instapot with a smartphone app. I also had a family pack of chicken thighs with no bones or skin. This should be easy and it was. I just opened my cupboard and whatever was there I added so this included:Onion flakesGarlic powderMrs Dash for ChickenLiquid smoke (see episode on Liquid smoke)Salt and Pepper. I dumped in one cup of water into the instapot. Put the steam rack in the bottom and add the chicken on top. Add your spices and cook 10-12 minutes (I did 12). The chicken was amazing. I had some thighs that were pretty thick and they came out wonderful. I put the chicken into a spaghetti strainer to let the grease get off the chicken. As I pick the chicken off after it had cooled, it just fell apart it was so tender. Tomorrow I will eat one of the thighs that had the same spices listed about but I put a dab of KC Masterpiece barbecue sauceI Might Attempt Going Plant-BasedI'm reading the book The Vegucation of Robin: How Real Food Saved My Life by Robin Quivers (from the Howard Stern show) Robin had cancer and beat it. According to her doctor had she not previously changed her diet, she wouldn't be here. I like the book because it's not preachy. She explains why plats are good for you, how you can get protein, and how processed food is horrible. I'm looking forward to trying some of her recipes. The Rabbit Hole of Smart OvensI've been watching demos of "Smart Ovens" such as the June, Tovala Gen 2, and even Amazon has an over controlledd by Alexa.
