Both the recent Schwarzenegger led spy sitcom FUBAR (all 8 eps now streaming on Netflix) and the JCVD blunt meta-comedy JEAN-CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON (still streaming as an Amazon Prime original) get a dissect. We dig right into the goodies and the flaws that can be cleaned up on both shows, but joining Jon and I is a voicemail left by Evan Pash (I Heart B Movies) and Nic Hoffmann (Myopia Movies, Required Reading, Cineprov movie riffing group) where we also get to dissect the recent streaming channel changes, cable tv's lowered popularity and other ideas for a FUBAR season 2 that Schwarzenegger def needs to have make happen in the future! In this episode, hosts Alan Sanders and Walt Murray interview author and leadership consultant, Sean Glaze. Sean began his career initially thinking he was going to become a lawyer. However, after getting an English degree, he was convinced to become a high school teacher. Within his first year, he was asked to assist with 9th grade basketball. His vision of perfecting a team strategy did not go as planned. As he says, he face-planted hard. The revelation that there was more to team-building than just X's and O's hit him hard. Sean began to formulate his thoughts on leadership and team building, leading to his first book. As his teaching and coaching career continued, he began to explore a parallel career in consulting. He continued to write new books on team building and leadership, adding new lessons to the ones he learned. After 20 years, he made the decision to retire from teaching and focus full-time on leadership and team consulting in the private sector. Over the course of the interview, Sean Glaze lays the groundwork for sucessful teams, effecting leadership and to always remain coachable. After the interivew, Alan and Walt share some odd news for the week leading into Thanksgiving. Then they both dive into the Entertainment segment, discussing what they have been watching, reading and listenig to. WATCHING Walt, on Alan's suggestion, has been watcing Jean-Claude Van Johnson and loves it. He also started to watch the new A&E Biography series on MTV. Finally, Walt has been binge-watching The Tick. Alan, on Walt's suggestion, watched the entire season of the docuseries, Catching Killers on Netflix. He watched the first 3 episodes of The Wheel of Time on Amazon and feels luke-warm about it thus far. He watched the Tom Hanks flick, News of the World, and did not like it at all. Finally, Alan's weekly YouTube suggestions are the movie reaction channels, Ashleigh Burton and Popcorn in Bed. READING Walt is continuing to plow through, "Killing the Mob," by Bill O'Reilly. Simiarly, Alan is continuing to work his way through, "Dune." LISTENING Walt likes to tune in to the Sirius XM channel, Classic Rewind, in the morning to hear the Alan Hunter Show. In this episodes, hosts Alan Sanders and Walt Murray get to chat with B-movie actress, Sarah Lieving. As usual, the interview begins with going back to Sarah's beginnings and slowly working toward the present. Many actors get their start after getting bitten by the acting bug and Sarah was no different. She took the plunge and moved to LA and has never regretted it. The work was slow initially and the parts small. But, with hard work and determination, she began to grow her resume and gain more substantial roles. As a B-movie actress, she is quite rooted in reality, knowing the movies need to be taken with a grain of salt. While in LA, she married and eventually had two kids. With her children now part of the picture, Sarah Lieving has become more focused on the roles she is wanting. She loves being with her kids and does not want to be constantly away from them. With a new management team around her, she wants to focus on picking projects that will push her in a more mainstream direction. Sarah was not able to stay on past the interivew, so after thanking her for her time, it was time to jump into a movie reivew. Just in time for the start of the holidays, Walt was tasked with Santa Jaws. Surprisingly, Walt liked the movie and felt it was a cut above many of the ones he has watched this season. Next, Walt and Alan dive into a few odd news items from around the internet. Finally, they move into their entertainment segment to discuss what they have been watching, reading and listening to. WATCHING Walt started to watch the new Netflix docuseries, Catching Killers and strongly recommends it. He also said that Stripes was now showing on Netflix. Alan finished his Harry Potter marathon by watching The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2. He then watching The Fellowship of the Ring (extended edition) and the Pixar flick, Luca. He was really interested after watching a couple episodes of Jean-Claude Van Johnson. For YouTube watchers, he continues to plug the movie reaction channel, Ashleigh Burton. READING Alan is still working his way through, "Dune, " while Walt just recently ordered, "Killig the Mob," by Bill O'Reilly. LISTENING Walt has been listening to the podcasts, Holy Crap It's Sports, The Kimmer Show and The Murdaugh Murders. Alan gives out a plug for the podcasts, 60MW and Radio Labyrinth.

He's recurred on Amazon's Too Old To Die Young and Jean Claude Van Johnson, Apple TV+'s Mythic Quest, among others. Chris has written and directed digital series to pilots, but his feature film directorial debut, Dinner Party, is far more personal. He wanted to tell the story of a group of diverse friends, not dissimilar to his experience, that has to grapple with the changing of their current times, where issues of race, gender equality, classism have come to the forefront of the modern conversation. His aim for this film is to help facilitate that dialogue even further, showing that there is always more than one side to a story and that we can become a beacon of positive change if we so choose to be. As a person of color, it's an honor for Chris Naoki Lee to depict such a diverse ensemble on screen with these incredible collaborators on Dinner Party. It truly takes a village. In another first for the show the brothers cover an original series called: Jean Claude Van Johnson. In this somewhat off beat action comedy Van Damme gets to show a lot of range as the meek Filip, as the badass Van Johnson and as the vulnerable Van Varenberg. Another meta outing for Van Damme that avoids getting stale by really committing to the meta self-parody to the point of sincerity. A very strange an interesting show with a great support cast. Not an episode to miss for fans of JCVD.Please involve yourselves in BLM initiatives. How many reviews can you fit into 22 minutes of radio? Well, if you tuned in to the mighty Radio NL on Friday night or Sunday morning, you'd already know the answer to that. But if you didn't, fear not! You can learn the answers to these and other mysteries by listening to the latest podcast... From The Basement! The Basement Boys put a couple of movies on the chopping block, including the school-shooting thriller Run Hide Fight with Isabel May and Thomas Jane, and the wilderness horror Hunter Hunter with Devon Sawa and Camille Sullivan. Do either sound like your glass of whisky? Jason has a few thoughts on each. What'd he think? Stick with us! And stick around, as Shawn has discovered the wonders of Jean-Claude Van Damme's foray into television, Jean-Claude Van Johnson. He also took in the paranormal comedy Truth Seekers from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost of Shaun of the Dead fame. Did he dig these comedic pursuits? As the pandemic trucks along, there's fewer new things to watch, so The Dynamic Duo turn to older fare in the form of They Nest with Kristen Dalton, 16 Blocks starring Bruce Willis, and 12 Rounds featuring John Cena. Do any of these offerings hold up? There's only one way to find out: push play on the player below and dive in!

Vaughan and Adrian Alphona NEWS [28:58] TOP NEWS STORY OF THE WEEK Sony Kills Spider-Man Partnership Deal with Marvel Studios https://www.cbr.com/sony-kills-spider-man-deal-with-marvel/ Everything we learned at D23’s Disney Plus presentation https://www.polygon.com/2019/8/24/20830613/d23-2019-disney-plus-marvel-she-hulk-wyatt-russell-star-wars-mandalorian-werner-herzog-new-shows FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER BRINGS BACK FAMILIAR FACES — AND INTRODUCES NEW ONES While Feige didn’t offer much news on Loki besides introducing series director Kate Herron (Sex Education) and writer Michael Waldron (Harmonquest), there were a few casting announcements to make for the other announced series. Captain America: The Winter Soldier actress Emily Vancamp returns as SHIELD Agent Sharon Carter for Falcon and the Winter Soldier, while Wyatt Russell makes his MCU debut as John Walker, known to comics fans as U.S. Agent. Both remained tight-lipped on details of their characters. WANDAVISION HAS THE MOST ECLECTIC MCU CAST The Scarlet Witch and Vision series’ strange juxtaposition of a 1950s sitcom and typical MCU adventure only grew stranger when more of the cast was revealed. In addition to a grown up version of Monica Rambeau played by Dear White People’s Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings will reprise the role of Darcy Lewis from Thor and Thor 2, with Randall Park playing Agent Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp. Joining as “WandaVision’s nosy neighbor” is Kathryn Hahn, which sounds extremely Bewitched. Three new Marvel shows — and three new Marvel heroes joining the MCU — were announced at D23: Ms. Marvel aka Kamala Khan, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk. Ms. Marvel specifically was confirmed by Feige to eventually make her way from streaming to the films. Moon Knight focuses on a mercenary named Mark Spectre left for dead in Egypt. She-Hulk will be about Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters — who is also a lawyer — in a show “unlike anything we’ve done before.” AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. I have hit every bucket list thanks to Disney.” MCU - Marvel Studios Black Panther 2 Release Date Revealed at D23 https://comicbook.com/marvel/2019/08/24/marvel-black-panther-2-release-date-d23/?utm_source=Comicbook.com&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=190824_144404_Comicbook.com%20Daily%20Newsletter&utm_content=Link The much-anticipated sequel is on the horizon, but fans have been left wondering about details.
