This week on Boldly, Tho we're keeping it breezy with Lower Decks' The Spy Humongous! Join us for a visit to Pakled Planet, a bunch of dangerous science trash, and, for some reason, as much of Space Balls as I can remember.

Our resident Star Trek: Lower Decks Nerds are back with a review of Season 2's "An Embarrassment of Dooplers" and "The Spy Humongous."
Ken and Bri are joined by Chief Scientist Velda to review three more episodes of the second season of Lower Decks: "The Spy Humongous"; "Where Pleasant Fountains Lie"; and "I, Excretus". The post Lower Decks S2E05-08: The Spy Humongous, Where Pleasant Fountains Lie & I, Excretus first appeared on Transporter Lock - A Star Trek podcast.
Anne-Marie and Peter cover the Lower Decks S2 episodes, The Spy Humongous and Where Pleasant Fountains Lie. Next time, recording Wednesday 10th, they look at I, Excretus and episode 9. Feel free to send your thoughts in (just keep the feedback to less than 5 minutes please). Borgcast@gmail.com
Brian, Kyle, and LT talk through Lower Decks S2E7, titled Where Pleasant Fountains Lie. Boimler and Mariner have to take an evil computer voiced by Star Trek legend Jeffrey Combs to the Daystrom Institute but crash land on a planet, while Chief Engineer Billups is tricked into a good time by his mom, the Queen. We're not going to explain that one.

This week, we're chatting about the newest episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks, The Spy Humongous.
It's hard to believe that we're more than halfway through season 2 of Lower Decks! This week, we chat about "The Spy Humongous," which we feel isn't too bad of an episode (but not the best either). Things happen to our valiant ensigns, but perhaps the most action is with the bridge crew and the Pakleds - but are the latter just Lower Decks' version of TNG Season 1 Ferengi? We then move on to discuss a LOT of non-Star Trek related content that we're enjoying, including Babylon 5, Alias, The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, and Q-Force. We then talk about the avalanche of new shows that are coming up - not to mention two new seasons of Star Trek that are right on the horizon! We would love to hear from you! You can reach us by emailing deepspacepride@gmail.com - drop us a note, comment, or question. Just don't be mean - though if you are, we might ignore you! You can also check us out on social media, which we promise to update once in a while: - Instagram: @deepspacepride - Twitter: @deepspacepride

Jack's Silly Little Friendly Neighborhood Star Trek Discovery Podcast
It's Reopening the Wormhole week up in this bitch, as RTW cohosts Sam and Kevin reunite with Jack to talk PAKLED PLANET SHENANIGANS, beloved anomalies, slugs and SCORPIONS and the RED SHIRTS. The best way to kick off such a discussion is with an extended review of the work of Kurtwood Smith, before circling back to Kzintis, Ape Pokemon, Jack's first taste of Hard Seltzer, his embarrassing Kiwi accent, and the works of Frank Miller. The only thing that's missing is Spider-Man 2! GET OVER HERE!
In "An Embarrassment of Dooplers", Mariner and Boimler try to track down the location of a legendary Starfleet party while the bridge crew deals with an insecure alien diplomat. In "A Spy Humongous", Anomaly Consolidation Day on the USS Cerritos leaves the Lower Deckers with mixed emotions. Captain Freeman attempts to negotiate peace on the Pakled homeworld. In this episode of the podcast, Wes and Clay discuss "An Embarrassment of Dooplers" and "A Spy Humongous". Plus! The guys chat about the reason that A.L.F. was canceled, Don Cheadle's early television performances, and Lower Decks spending time marinating in the joke. Are you looking for older episodes? Polarize the hull plating! It's the 20th anniversary of the premiere of Star Trek: Enterprise! Kevin and Mike discuss how the series dealt with Vulcans, its broader impact on the Star Trek universe (which might be greater than you think), and even that controversial theme song. They also explore how well Star Trek: Lower Decks understands the heart of Trek in Season 2, Episode 6, "The Spy Humongous." Plus, they cover some Star Trek news and an audience question about alien species. Kyle and Brian are joined later in the podcast by LT and the three of them talk through Lower Decks S2E6 The Spy Humongous. This one was good, though it suffers a bit from the issue that is the Pakleds. They are funny, as long as you don't overthink them. Once you do, they don't make a lot of sense.
While Mariner, Tendi, and Rutherford are on trash duty, Boimler joins the Redshirts. Also, a Pakled attempts to spy on the Cerritos.
Tales of espionage, asylum, and hazardous materials are discussed in this episode of Lower Decks.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/thelegalgeeks)
