Tom opens this week's livestream with several announcements:-There will be no webinar next Wednesday; Tom will return in two weeks.-Cowan's Community Corner, also known as C3, is expected to launch soon as an online community space for members to connect, share ideas, and potentially form local in-person groups.-C3 will be included at no extra charge for all New Biology Clinic members, including individual, family, pet, and enrichment memberships.-Tom will be speaking at the Homesteading Life Conference with Doug and Stacy, May 15–16 in Vandalia, Missouri.Homesteading Life Conference with Doug and Stacy link here.-Registration remains open for the New Biology Experience at Polyface Farm in June. Tom shares his excitement about the music, dancing, lectures, food, and connection planned for the event.New Biology Experience link here.Highlights from this session include:-Tom opens with “science news,” commenting on articles about time moving backward in quantum systems, simulated vacuum decay, and a “new state of matter” allegedly inside Uranus.-A discussion on diabetic lower-leg and foot ulcers, reframing them as stagnation and poor metabolic flow rather than “infection,” with comments on debridement, movement, metabolic restoration, and chlorine dioxide compresses.-A broad reflection on MTHFR testing, genetic explanations, cancer metabolism, mitochondria, and skin lesions, arguing that these reductionist models often distract from the whole person and lived reality.-Tom discusses cancer as possibly being better understood as the body's adaptive response to toxicity, rather than simply a genetic or metabolic disease.-A response to the question “was contagion ever real?” where Tom distinguishes between people influencing one another and the idea of contagious disease.-A critique of a reported “gene therapy” case involving restored hearing, emphasizing the importance of asking what was actually done rather than accepting the explanatory story.-Brief comments on eating offal, antibiotics, sterilizing surgical equipment, and chlorinating pools.Tom closes by reminding viewers there will be no webinar next week and to watch for the launch of Cowan's Community Corner.Support the showWebsites:https://drtomcowan.com/https://www.drcowansgarden.com/https://newbiologyclinic.com/https://newbiologycurriculum.com/Instagram: @TalkinTurkeywithTomFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrTomCowan/Bitchute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/CivTSuEjw6Qp/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzxdc2o0Q_XZIPwo07XCrNg

Escuchar audio

Along the way, they learned directly from their Amish neighbors, adopting low-tech, practical systems for housing, water, heating, food preservation, and daily life. Throughout the conversation, they explore:How and why they left city life and downsized radicallyBuilding log homes and infrastructure from scratch with minimal toolsLiving fully off-grid with no electricity, Wi-Fi, or conventional utilitiesRaising sheep, poultry, bees, and working horsesDeveloping rainwater catchment and gravity-fed water systemsLearning traditional skills through hands-on mentorship with the AmishHow lifestyle, environment, light, food, and daily rhythms shaped their well-beingThe unexpected growth of their YouTube channel to over one million subscribersTheir philosophy of learning through observation, practicality, and results—not theoryThe conversation also covers Doug and Stacy's Homesteading Life Conference, where they teach others how to grow food, preserve it, raise animals, and step out of the modern “rat race” using real-world skills and common sense.

Missouri is now one of just 10 states in the country with a correctional nursery program.  Before the program's launch, incarcerated mothers were typically separated from their newborns within 24 to 48 hours after delivery. Infants were usually placed with relatives or sometimes were placed into the foster care system.  This program offers a different path—one grounded in dignity, healing, and the belief in second chances. MCC talks with Kim Perkins, nursery program manager at  the Women's Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center (WERDCC) in Vandalia. The festival celebrates the start of maple sugaring season. This centuries-old tradition involves tapping maple trees, collecting sap, and boiling it down to create the rich, golden syrup that has been a staple in Appalachian kitchens for generations.  Visitors to the festival will also have the opportunity to take a guided tour of Richter's Sugar Camp to get an up-close look at how maple syrup is made.  Read more: https://www.wvnews.com/news/wvnews/experience-the-39th-west-virginia-maple-syrup-festival-in-pickens/article_214aa81e-f9ce-11ef-bc46-ffb987be5800.html   #2 – From THE REAL WV – Cafeteria guests at CAMC Greenbrier Valley Medical Center can now enjoy fresh, local beef, thanks to a partnership between the medical center and Mountain Steer Meat Company of White Sulphur Springs.  Not only will their local beef be available for guests and employees in the hospital, but patients will also soon be receiving meals that include local beef, according to Chief Administrative Officer Becky Harless. She said she hopes the partnership grows to other Vandalia-owned hospitals as well.  Mountain Steer beef is currently being used by schools, restaurants, the hospital, and families throughout the Greenbrier Valley.  Read more: https://therealwv.com/2025/03/05/camc-partners-with-mountain-steer-to-offer-local-beef-in-cafeteria/   #3 – From WV PRESS – The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority and Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce announced their collaboration on this year's Future Forward Summit and Expo, taking place April 22-23 at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center. Escuchar audio

Predators I've Caught With Chris Hansen

Brian Arflack, a 54-year-old engineer from Illinois who drove about 4½ hours to Vandalia near Dayton to meet who he thought was a 14-year-old girl for sex.  Instead, he met Chris.    When Arflack stepped inside the house and into the living room, he was handcuffed and interviewed by detectives and Chris.  Before he was taken to the Montgomery County Jail, a deputy noticed that Arflack was wearing a friendship necklace. The deputy removed it after Arflack told him it was a gift from one of the underage girls with whom he said he had sex.  “You don't get to keep this,” the deputy told Arflack.   Paid Partner of TruthFinder® https://www.truthfinder.com/predators    This is another Hurrdat Media Production. Hurrdat Media is a podcast network and digital media production company based in Omaha, NE. Escuchar audio

On this episode of Agency Nation Radio, we learn about independent insurance agency alliances, a model that has grown in popularity in recent years, and one that the Big “I” has harnessed with the launch of the Big “I” Alliance. Jared Blackwood, owner and partner at BridgeMark Insurance Solutions in Bismark, North Dakota, chats with Tiffany Overlease, assistant vice president of Big “I” Alliance Gold, and Ty Bates, an agent at McKellar, Robertson, McCarty & Click Insurance Agency in Vandalia, Illinois, who was the first agent to sign up to Big “I” Alliance Gold. “The Alliance is a one-stop shop for any Big ‘I' member. It brings market access, vendor discounts and aggregation by direct appointments under one umbrella,” said Overlease. “There are 3 programs: Blue, Blue Plus, and Gold.” “The Big ‘I' has received an abundance of requests over the past several years to expand our current incubator program—Eagle Agency—into an alliance where agents can stay long-term and have similar opportunities that larger agencies have.” Agency Nation Radio is where insurance professionals turn on the mic and share unscripted stories about leadership, technology, marketing, success, and failure—stories that helped make them the professionals they are today.
