It's time for boot camp. We like acrostics around here, but are you ready to learn a marching song? In this episode, we are on the trail with the people of Israel as God leads them to the Mountain of God. God knows they need to learn to trust Him for their survival, and He has a plan to break down their victim identity and build in them a victorious identity. Like any good boot camp, we have a marching chant to help us remember the four key events God uses to train the Israelites along the way, and it goes “Water, Wafers, Water, War.” Water: God provides when the water is bitter. Wafers: God provides when there is no food. Water: God provides when there is no water. War: God protects when the enemy attacks. What do we learn about God and the healing process from this first leg of boot camp? Jared, Shaun and Thala preview the weekend's Rugby World Cup quarterfinals now that all the teams have been announced. We start with Wales v Argentina by asking who is the bigger loss between Taulupe Faletau and Pablo Matera. Jared ponders how Argentina's high possession game plan will go against Wales being happy to defend. We pick out players to watch including Jac Morgan, Juan Martin Gonzalez and Tommy Reffell. We then look at Ireland v New Zealand and discuss how much can be taken from the last 3 All Blacks games and what weaknesses Ireland can exploit. Jared thinks the All Blacks have one more big game in them. Thala is looking forward to the battle of chirps between the War God and Sam Cane. We then preview England v Fiji and lament Fiji missing Teti Tela at flyhalf and try to figure out why Marcus Smith is playing at fullback. Jared talks about how England can stumble through the kncokout games into a final. Shaun hypes up Joe Marchant. We all ponder if Levani Botia can win this game by himself. Finally, Shaun and Thala break down the France v South Africa game now that the teams are out. We try to work out what the Boks approach will be with Reinach and Libbok starting. We look forward to more rolling mauls with Duane Vermeulen starting. We talk about the importance of a good start and scoreboard pressure, as both teams don't want to be chasing this game. Listen to this pod as we look forward to a massive quarterfinal weekend!

In the spirit of faithful discipleship, let's delve deeper into what it truly means to be men after God's own heart. When we discuss the idea of godly men, we refer to men who aspire to reflect God's character and virtues. And it is important to clarify here, dear brethren, that in saying this, we don't intend to liken men to gods, as depicted by some of the Marvel superheroes, but rather we acknowledge that we were wonderfully crafted by the one true God to be reflections of His glorious image. We find this wonderfully portrayed in Genesis 1:27 (ESV), where it says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." By this, it implies that we are to take after the character of God - who is a God of grace, mercy, and boundless love - to lead and impact the world positively. When we talk about the kind of men we want to nurture in our church, we mean men who exude God's character, displaying humility, selflessness, kindness, and patience. This is well-articulated in Ephesians 4:32 (ESV), "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." We desire men who would lay down their lives for others, just as Jesus did for us, echoing John 15:13 (ESV), "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." Our ultimate desire is for the men in our church to passionately pursue God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, impacting their families, communities, and the world for Christ. This draws from the command in Mark 12:30 (ESV), "And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." The men of our church should strive to replicate the selflessness of Jesus, who emptied Himself for the sake of mankind, as stated in Philippians 2:7 (ESV), "but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men." We strive to inspire godly leadership in our men, ensuring they leverage their influence to point others back to Jesus. Pastor Calvin Hoffman In the book of Judges, we see the impact of ungodly leadership. The nation of Israel went from being faithful to God to becoming faithless due to the lack of godly leadership. A pattern of disobedience and disregard for God's commands led them astray, causing them to worship other gods. But, the good news is that our God is a God of second chances and restoration. He raised up judges who led the people back to Him, showcasing his enduring love and mercy. We want the men in our church to learn from these lessons and remain steadfast in their commitment to God, pointing others to Him in all they do. As we seek to follow the path of godliness, let's remain rooted in His Word, and strive to lead with God's love and grace, mirroring His character in all we do. Let's commit to being godly men, serving the Lord and influencing the world positively for Christ.

claymartindefense.com Twitter - @wayofftheres Joining us today is Clay Martin, a friend of mine with an extensive military background. That's right, it's gonna be another Military chat, and I'm very excited for it! He now runs a self defense consulting business, and his goal right now is to prepare people for any unexpected situation you might experience in the future. Clay Martin is the author of a few books, Concrete Jungle and Prairie Fire. In his own words: I consider myself primarily a father these days, but I have had a number of strange jobs over the years. I am a retired Green Beret, more specifically an 18F Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant, from 3rd Special Forces Group. Prior to that I was a Reconnaissance Marine and Scout Sniper in the USMC. In my years since retiring from that life, I have been a competitive shooter, contractor, firearms instructor, and general purpose hired gun. When my first son was expected, I realized I need a change of careers. So I did what came naturally, and started writing for a digital magazine. As my exposure to other professional writers grew, many of whom had written books, I realized I had stories that needed telling. I wrote Last Son of the War God, my first novel, in 2017. With the birth of my second son, my wife and I decided it was time to move out of the city. With two growing boys and a pack of wild dogs we call pets, we needed a change of pace. So we moved to a small town, downsizing our house but upsizing our land to a 5 acre plot. In my spare time, I pretend to homestead it. My hobbies include changing dirty diapers, and trying to outrun a toddler while being 40. Other than that, I try to keep up on fitness, though with much humbler goals now that I don't commando for a living. We plan on adding chickens and some smaller livestock soon, which should be an adventure in its own right. I've travelled all over the world, though usually to places you wouldn't want to go on vacation. Between my first career and an unexpected transition back to the real world, it has been interesting sometimes to the point of insanity. In the same year I once helped broker a deal for explosives importation from a former Soviet Bloc nation, lived in a fake Afghan village outside of Fort Bragg because I was to poor to get an apartment, and then immediately lived 6 months in a mansion in Aspen as head of a billionaires private security. Presently I am enjoying a slower pace of life, in the Pacific Northwest, the most beautiful place on Earth. My wife is teaching me to fly fish, and I am teaching her how to raise savages. 1:30 - Introductions 4:30 - Why are Green Berets special / unique 8:53 - Is there a movie that captures Green Beret's accurately 12:50 - What is sniper training like? 20:00 - How can we help Ukraine 45:30 - How does military spending work 50:00 - Why should citizens be more prepared than they are now 1:08:30 - How do you convince neighbors to prepare? 1:11:20 - Ammo chat 1:18:30 - Preparing your home 1:26:30 - Crazy guy in Scotts neighborhood 1:32:30 - More base levels of preparedness 1:38:50 - What products do you offer 1:41:30 - How much do basic deterrents help

The moment you hit Mythic and start your Weekend Ranked event at that rank is where all the fun and sorrow begins. From cards like Pyramid Warden showing you the difference between your two cost drops from the old school players and Apocalypse Now symbolizing the end of your struggle, there are a handful of extremely crazy cards that exist in Gods Unchained. Mexico was inhabited by the Aztecs before the Spanish occupation. The term Aztec might have its roots in Astika, meaning one who believes in the Authority of the Vedas. A festival is celebrated at the same time as our Navaratri; it is called “Rama-Sita” The Mexican national throne preserved in the National Museum of Mexico bears the typical Hindu Buddhist disc of the Sun. The Mexicans also had the Hindu Simhasan (Lion throne).  Temple of Shiva was found in Mexico city. The largest temple in Mexico City was the temple of Lord Shiva, the War God of the Mexican whom the Spanish invaders found entwined by golden snakes. This temple was built in the 15th century and had 3000 Deva-Dasis to perform religious ceremonials. The Mexican temple had the Gopuram style. Here you see a reconstruction of the same after it was destroyed by the Spaniards. The temples at Tikal in Mexico also bore the imprint of our famous temple at Madura. No wonder E. G. Squire in his American archaeological researches in 1851 wrote “It is believed a proper examination of these monuments would disclose the fact that in their interior structure as well as in their exterior form and obvious purposes these buildings correspond with great exactness to those of Hindustan and the Indian Archipelago.” “Astec Calendar The fact that the Hindus were capable of sailing to far off countries like Mexico and Peru is proved by the official historian of Mexico, who in his book published by the Mexican Foreign Office. “Those who first arrived on the continent later to be known as America were groups of men driven by that mighty current that set out from India towards the east.” The U. S. Ambassador Miles Poindexter states in his book The Ayar-Incas that primitive Aryan words and people came to America especially from Indo-Arya by the island chains of Polynesia. The very name of the boat in Mexico is a South Indian (Tamil) word: Catamaran. After 17 years of research I can now claim to have proved my theory of Hindu colonisation of America. The stones in every corner of America speak of Hindu influences. Let us begin with the Astec calendar known as the Astec Chakra of the Hindu Astronomers. It is the foundation stone of Hindu culture in America. The ancient Americans believe in the four Hindu ages (Yugas or cycles). This Astec calendar (of Hindu origin) depicts the Hindu ages of the world. Mackenzie, author of Myths of Pre-Columbian America, says, “”The doctrine of the world's ages (Hindu Yugas) was imported into pre-Columbian America. The Mexican sequence is identical with the Hindus. It would be ridiculous to assert that such a strange doctrine was of spontaneous origin in different parts of old and new worlds.”” The very sculpture of the Sun in this calendar bears the imprint of India. Game of Pachisi Witness the complicated game of Pachisi as it is played in India and Mexico. Seventy years ago Edward Taylor pointed out that the ancient Mexican game of Patolli was similar in its details to the game of Pachisi played in India and the whole region of Southern Asia. “It seems clear,” he wrote, “that the Mexican game must have come from Asia.”” Subsequently Stewart Culin showed that even the cosmic meaning of the Mexican game, its relation to the four quarters of the world and to the calendars ascribed to them was essentially the same as in Pachisi. Dr. Kroeber, leading anthropologist of California, observes that “the mathematical probability of two games invented separately, agreeing by chance in so many specific features, is very low. The close correspondence between the rules of the two games indicates a real connection.” Dr. Kroeber however could not find more evidence to link India with America and decided to leave the issue unsolved expressing the hope that fuller and more accurate knowledge would some day solve the dilemma. Retired Recon Marine Clay Martin leverages his bonafide credentials and experience to provide listeners with fact-based, authentic concepts regarding the application of survival techniques in their homes, neighborhoods, and any environment that spins into chaos. Clay shares captivating personal stories, including a time when a momentary fatigue of his situational awareness resulted in juggling a hot potato tear gas canister decoyed as a Dr. Pepper bottle. Read the full blog post for episode #143 at safetyphd.com. ABOUT CLAY MARTIN. Clay Martin is a former USMC Infantryman, Reconnaissance Marine, and Scout Sniper. He crossed deck to the US Army and spent the rest of his career in Special Forces, because he is a glutton for punishment. Medically retired at 15 years of service, he wandered the Earth like Caine from Kung Fu, before remembering he could type and starting a career as a gun review monkey and novelist. He is the author of Last Son of the War God and the Sword of the Caliphate, fictional works. CONCRETE JUNGLE - AMAZON BEST SELLER / SEVERAL REVIEWS. Written in 2019 and released in June 2020, Concrete Jungle: A Green Berets guide to Urban Survival, is unfortunately a non-fiction book appropriate to the times we live in. As cultural war clouds gather, cities are becoming the flashpoint. In this volume, retired Special Forces soldier Clay Martin teaches you how to survive it. A multi tour GWOT veteran and Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat instructor, as well as long time prepper and competitive shooter, Clay brings a different type of skill set to the party. From laying in supplies to siege proofing your apartment building, this volume answers the questions other experts cannot. HOUSE BURNED DOWN, MEDICAL EVENT, AND THEN COVID19. Clay and his family were out of town when their house caught fire and was destroyed at the end of January. A week later, Clay was hospitalized with an unexpected blog clot in his right arm that extended into his lungs, and by the time he was released in February, the COVID19 pandemic became something that couldn't be ignored by Americans - so his family prepared for the pandemic, without many of their possessions, while living in a rental house - and as Clay was a medically-compromised person due to the recent hospitalization. Conditioned for chaotic times, Clay rolled with the situation and stated, “We have water bottles and a backpack, we'll be fine”, but also found his young children asking, “where are our toys, why are we living in BRBs, …?” SITUATION AWARENESS - YOU CAN LEARN IT. Clay wrote that the American civilian population has been largely insulated and comfortable since 1941. People in America wake up expecting and experiencing a predictable, safe day. He believes that most people are deficient in situational awareness skills unless they've grown up in a volatile area, such as a big city - in which situational awareness and survival skills are an evolved process. SNIPER SCHOOL. Clay shared that sniper school focused on identifying nuanced things through binoculars or being able to recall what you passed while walking to lunch. The more you observe your environment, the more you automatically attend to what's happening around you and also apply a filter of, “What can hurt me right now?” David built on this with an example of taking his family to a baseball game last summer. He taught his daughters to watch the position of the infielders and outfielders in order to predict what might happen next. HOW CLAY BUILT HIS PROXY NETWORK. Clay notes that different people have different abilities to handle things - so learn people's strengths and play to those strengths when building your information network. If someone's a spreadsheet fanatic, give him an assignment of aggregating data from members in the field. Clay describes how he built his information network similar to a phone tree - and have the primary people be the ones that live close to you. Remember that your connections in other parts of the country are likely to have their own regional networks. PREDICTORS OF THINGS TO COME. Clay identified alarming patterns of behavior last year including some states and cities choosing to selectively enforce the law and dropping charges - and a trend toward a more lawless society. Clay feels we might be 6-8 months out from hyperinflation and an economic collapse. FOLLOW DR. PERRODIN: Twitter @SafetyPhD and subscribe to The Safety Doc YouTube channel & Apple Podcasts. James Kerr, bestselling author and speaker, specialises in the design and delivery of change for leaders of world-class teams. His book, Legacy, reveals the 15 most powerful leadership lessons from The All Blacks, the world's most successful and dominant sporting team. His clients HSBC, Boeing, Raffles, UBS, Shell, Adidas and the Australian Kangaroos share his message that "higher purpose leads to higher performance." Successful change begins with a values-based, vision-led, purpose-driven mindset.   When people ask James what he does, how does he like to reply? How good are the All Blacks, what are the stats? How did James get inside the inner sanctum of The All Blacks? James explains real, authentic leadership. The leadership qualities of former captain and great All Black Ritchie McCaw. Ritchie always kept a notebook. How did he use that book? The Corinthian Columns in the Crusader's dressing room, the super successful club team in NZ. Why is it so powerful? How have they been able to create an enduring brotherhood with the All Blacks team? Do the All Blacks channel a War God as kind of an identity they wear when they go to battle? When James hears the Haka, what memories does it bring back about his family? The tribal tipuna is intentionally made grotesque to always display humility. Is humility important in authentic leadership? James explains the vulnerability and softness amongst these hard men playing a hard sport. Dan Carter was known as the perfect 10. A beautiful story of humility. What's the All Blacks format to debrief a game? Former captain, Sean Fitzpatrick, after a loss, would close the door and asked the team to feel what it's like to lose. James explains the philosophy of the second arrow Red Head, Blue Head. Can that be taught? James has two boys. What is the greatest legacy, he is looking to instil in his boys? The philosophy of Whakapapa, to plant trees you'll never see. Caleb found that going back into the NFL and not feeling that sense of accomplishment did not replenish his soul. Caleb eventually landed in Fort Erie, Ontario, where he decided to trade his NFL cleats for a mop and broom and started serving those around him. “ I know what it's like to hide from that fear. To live behind a mask of a performance driven life hoping that you convince yourself and everyone around you that you have what it takes. But no matter how good of a performance it was, it's never good enough. It's exhausting, I know.” Hold on as Mark & Dayne dive deep into the 2nd part of Caleb's amazing journey!
