After a long delay, the Wikishuffle crew is back to normally scheduled broadcasting. Expect us every second week with our spin off show Goodnight Sweetcast filling in the gaps. This week we examine the correlation between the attractiveness of shoppers and their supermarket of choice, in a completely fair and not at all unreasonable segment we call 'Peeking in a Farmfoods'. We also learn that Phil holds himself in the top tier of Supermarket Naturists, let us know if you would feel comfortable with a nude Wizard in your local Tesco Express. Answers on a postcard. In the Shuffles we uncover the GREATEST DECEPTION since Dan Brown found out about the Da Vinci Code and Tom Hanks had to stop Gandalf from finding the old cup. Jesus was a right old sneaky sneak. Apparently, there is also a big vault where they keep all the nuts in case everything turns rubbish, which is becoming ever more likely. Don't worry though, we know roughly where they keep them. Finally, we bid a tearful farewell to Jack as he goes... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Wasn't it lovely of the Queen to send us a telegram for our 100th episode, which is definitely something that happened and we certainly didn't just doctor an old lady's 100th birthday telegram, because that would probably be treason. And this bumper 100th episode special has been a long time in the making. Not just in the fact that we had to release a prior 99 podcasts to make this happen, but because this episode has - for indeterminate reasons - taken us well over two months to edit and release. Was it worth the wait? Well we'll let you be the judge of that, but you do get a whole six Wikipedia articles for your money, covering the entire gamut of Wikishuffle nonsense. There's some tragedy, some wrestling, some classic pop big hitters and a modicum of BDSM to keep you interested. We even went to the trouble of hiring a local brass band to play us out. Here's to the next 100 episodes. Sincerest thanks if you've joined us on the journey so far. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

In fact, statistics will tell you that Wikishuffle is actually less than 10% of podcasts. Look it up if you don't believe me. There's been an emergency! Not quite the Wikishuffle crew-member death that we were preparing for when we recorded this emergency episode back in February, but an emergency nonetheless. They (Northamptonshire County Council) are resurfacing the road outside Wikishuffle HQ, and it turns out that's quite a noisy activity. Too noisy for recording podcasts over, anyway. So we've had to resort to our backup plan and dust off our emergency episode. Which is about exploration and the inevitable cannibalism that ensues. Normal service will resume next week. Swearing her way into the hosting chair for the first time on PICK A FLICK!, Emma Platt is reunited with Chris Haigh aka The Haighster, one of her two Chris-based partners in crime from Black Hole Cinema, and is joined by debutant Chris Wallace - seconded from his award-winning comedy podcast, WIKISHUFFLE. With Halloween on the horizon, the trio are all about the horror this week, with the first nomination from Emma’s other half Mike Abbott being LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, the kitsch 80’s curio — did they take to it? Emma also returns with the first solo DEAD MEAT of the show, this week focusing on Body Horror - prepare to lose control… PHANTASM, the strange late 1970’s horror classic, comes next thanks to nominee The Ginger Prince, but will any of them come out believing it’s a horror great? Then last but not least, Emma pits the two Chris’ head to head in a HALLOWEEN HORROR QUIZ - can they unseat Matt Latham at the top of the leaderboard? Hello and welcome to this week's Failed Critics Podcast, released slightly earlier than usual to try and push it out just before the end of International Podcast today (that's today for the next couple of minutes, anyway!) As such, we recommend you check out our fellow podcast comrades Wikishuffle, Black Hole Cinema and Diamond & Human; all of whom are deserving of your time during your commute or whilst boiling the spuds, or whatever you do whilst you're listening to us. Joining Mexican assassin Steve Norman and intergalactic failed critic Owen Hughes for this week's episode is Andrew Brooker, undertaking his unpaid work placement, as they review three new releases. They're so new, in fact, that they are not even out in the UK yet! First up, Owen reviews new Ridley Scott sci-fi The Martian (which doesn't feature any aliens - xenomorphs or otherwise) before Brooker seethes over the new Anne Hathaway / Robert De Niro comedy The Intern. There's even room for a review of the much anticipated crime-thriller... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Welcome to another episode of the Failed Critics Podcast. As promised, Steve Norman is back in the host's chair this week as the award winning duo of Jack and Phil from Wikishuffle depart to be replaced by Matt Lambourne from the award winning video-game podcast Retro Asylum, such is the quality of guest on our shows these days! As ever, they are both joined by Owen Hughes for this week's triple bill episode, where each member of the team pick three films made for one million dollars or less in a bid to prove that the quality of a movie is not always dependent on its budget. Before all of that, the guys also take a look at the Primetime Emmy Award winners announced this past weekend and indulge themselves with the final round of our ongoing quiz - which, for once, isn't as shambolic as you might expect! There's also time for: Steve to tackle Everest, starring Jason Clarke, Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh Brolin amongst others; Matt blows the dust out of his Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie cartridge;... Do you want to hear a magic trick? How many C's are there in Failed Critics? Answer: Four! Specifically, Owen Hughes, Phil Sharman, Andrew Brooker and special guest host, Jack Stewart. I will leave it to your imagination to work out what the 'C' stands for... ...All right, it was 'critics', of course! Failed ones, but what else could I have possibly meant..? Unfortunately there's no Steve Norman on this week's episode, but the award winning duo of Phil and Jack from the comedy podcast Wikishuffle join Owen and Brooker to review two new releases. Whilst Phil prepares a rant on M. Night Shyamalan's latest twisty-turny-twist-again-turn-again horror The Visit, the group also review British gangster movie Legend, starring Tom Hardy as Ronnie Cray and Tom Hardy as Reggie Kray. Also on the podcast: Brooker walks the line with Oscar winning documentary Man On Wire; Phil tentatively recommends Jonathan King’s (yes, that one) self-produced Vile Pervert: The Musical; and Owen shouts from the stands about indie...
