Extrait : « … Do you remember how the Flintstones would get in their "car" -- and then have to use their own manpower to make it move? Too often, we try to live a "Flintstones" kind of spiritual life; we believe we can do things in our own power instead of relying on the power of God. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside us as believers, and we have the ability to tap into it at any time.
Just like the Flinstones would get in their car and use their man power to make it go anywhere, we are too often living our spiritual lives in our own power. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of us as believers and we must tap into that power, allowing Him to live through us. Yabba dabba doo Joel Duscher is a sick little boy but never fear, resident best boy Adam Carnevale was in the studio to help us have a bit of think about how we would make it rich in the Flintstones era. Jackson wants to have an infinite budget and an army of competent engineers to revolutionise the way the people of Bedrock communicate, Adam wants to wage war and Zammit keeps pivoting. Great philosophical questions are asked like What happens when your toaster goes rogue? and How do you convince Cain to take out Abel? Is having a shower that is part of the family good? So listen and or watch as the three dumbest boys you know try to make it big in this modern stone age society.Links to everything in our linktr.ee including our terrible merch, social media garbage and where to become a subscriber to Bad Brain Boys+ Hosted on Acast. 64 years ago, The Flintstones became the first ever animated prime time sitcom in the US, and 30 years ago, the live-action film was released. A live action adaptation of The Flintstones first came about in 1985, but it wouldn't be 'til Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment acquired the rights in 1992 that the project started moving forward, but by that point eight writers had already had a crack at the script...Once Spielberg, and mega fan director Brian Levant, got involved, many more writers would have a pass, but only three would ever be credited for their work after the Writer's Guild of America got involved.Credit to the team of writers behind The Flintstones...Steven E. de SouzaDaniel GoldinJoshua GoldinPeter Martin WortmannRobert ConteMitch MarkowitzJeffrey RenoRon OsbourneMichael J. In this episode, Boonie and guest KG discuss their favorite albums of 2023. This was a tough year for narrowing down favorite albums, especially in the hip-hop genre. We chat about our favorite songs from the year, including Tyrese's "Don't Think You Ever Loved Me," SZA's "Snooze," and Justin Bieber's "Moments." We also discuss Anais Cardot's "Colors," which we find joy and beauty in despite not understanding the French lyrics. Boonie and KG chat about their favorite albums like No Name's "Sundial" and Summer Walker's "Clear 2," and personal picks such as October London's "Rebirth." Finally, we wrap up by chatting about Victoria Monet's album "Jaguar," appreciating its well-blended body of work from an artist who has been in the industry for a long time. We wrap up the episode by chatting about Beyonce, Andre 3000, Usher, Taylor Swift, Ozempic, and 2024. Oh, and yes, Boonie still has hope that new music is coming from Rihanna. Kitty Green's new THE ROYAL HOTEL follows two women stranded amid the oppressive masculinity of a rough-and-tumble Australian mining town, a purposeful gender subversion of Ted Kotcheff's 1971 Australian cult classic WAKE IN FRIGHT. We begin our two-week journey through the fringes of civilization with a trip to WAKE IN FRIGHT's “the Yabba” to discuss how the film's more harrowing elements, including its infamous kangaroo hunt, play in a context of sheer lawlessness, debate whether it feels like a representative Australian film, and try to decipher the strange allure of “two up.” And in Feedback, we consider a couple of listener-submitted contenders for our informal and always-expanding list of the greatest sci-fi of the 21st century. Please share your comments, thoughts, and questions about WAKE IN FRIGHT, THE ROYAL HOTEL, or anything else in the world of film, by sending an email to comments@nextpictureshow.net, or leaving a short voicemail at (773) 234-9730.
