I know I can not solve the problem of singleness (but is it even really a "problem" to be solved?) nor can I remove the pain. Regardless, it's critical to trust God and obey Him, no matter how you feel. Why? Because God's will for you (and blessings for you) are bigger than your marital status.

Rebekah's Website Book a Christian Life Coaching Discovery Call Let's kick off our August Theme: Singleness with a heart-level, somewhat confrontational challenge from Rebekah to accept your singleness by allowing yourself to grieve. The church will not give this to you, friends, you will have to fight for it. In order to mourn, you will have to acknowledge the reality of loss, really name it. This will be hard but it's the gateway to healing, a deeper faith, and accepting the reality that God has for you. So grieve...but also, there comes a time when you must arise and embrace the new land that God has for - this idea is taken from Joshua Chapter 1, when God allows His people to grieve but tells them to move on and take the promised land. To all my single friends, divorced, widowed, single-never-been-married... you will have to fight the church to have your grief. But you will also have to Satan to not stay there and give into self-pity. Joining me today for one of the best conversations I can recall, is my friend Violet. Last year, she and I had a conversation on episode 74 (go back and listen if you haven't!) which turned out to have the most number of downloads all year!!! So, I thought... we better bring her back and see where another chat goes. And boy does it go.... we started out talking about the Fruit of the Spirit, humility, and shame (among other things) but God directed our conversation to this question... "When you picture yourself interacting with Jesus / God, I mean visually picture it, in your mind's eye, what do you picture?" And the answers will wow you. We both cried a little! So hold on to your hearts for this one ladies and make sure you listen through to the very end. Website Instagram

Today I'm chatting with speaker and author Cody Andras. Cody is a single woman in her late 30s who has written 10+ Bible Studies and has a new book out called, Jesus By Her Side, which explores Jesus' heart towards women as seen through His interactions with them in the gospels. This chat is PACKED with GREAT theology. We talk alot about the Bible specifically, how to study it, how the Holy Spirit helps us understand it, and what it means to spend time with Jesus. One of my favorite interviews in a long time... great ready for the pure GOLD that is this chat! Host: Rebekah's Website | Instagram | Book a Call Guest: Cody's Website | Instagram | Amazon
Today I have the privilege of talking with the joy-filled Theresa DeWit, author of Less Conflict, More Joy. An honest conversation and the difficulties of unmet expectations, hard days, and bad communication that can take the joy out of a marriage - and the practical things we can do as women to bring the joy back. And of course, since we are in a series called "That's Just Bad Theology" we also explore some of the lies that women believe around marriage that often trip us up, and how leaning into good theology relieves alot of disappointment. The first bad theology we attack (and correct) for this new series "That's Just Bad Theology" is the lie many of us believe, if we just do all the right things God will give us what we want. I get to discuss this concept with my guest, Pastor, and Author Steve Hinton. Steve is the author of Confessions: Finding Hope Through One Pastor's Doubt. We discuss the journey of learning that God doesn't give us what we want, but what is best for us, and the often painful and dark road of learning to accept that. What is "Theology"? Why is "good Theology" so important? Is all pain and suffering just a result of "bad theology?" In this episode, I'm exploring my signature phrase "The Truth Will Set Us Free" from a more intellectual side. Do right doctrine and good theology lead us to the most joy and if so, how can we find it and how do we know when we are in the wrong? All of this and more! I think I have some authority on this topic, not having gotten married until I was 39 years old! The single ladies want to know. The married women want to know. I'm going to give you my personal 2 cents on which is "better" and then, of course, we will dive into whether is that even a good question to ask, and what is the more important question to consider for our ultimate joy. This time of year is intense for all of us. We all navigate moments when we don't feel happy and we believe we know what will make us happy. I just wanted to get real honest today and bring some healing and inspiration to this often not-talked-about thought that we've all had. Rebekah's Website
As mentioned in the Introduction: Juniper Mentoring Website This week on the podcast we are wrapping up the 3-part teaching on Knowing the Love of God. This part is my favorite. It's real life, where our day-to-day meets our faith head-on. God's love is free, it is real, it is perfect and personal, and yours right now. So why don't some of us feel it? What are some people still "looking for love in all the wrong places." Well, let me give you 3 places to start. To feel God's love we must give Him: Our time, Our heart, and whatever else He asks for (our Surrender) I pray this blesses you today my Sister, my friend.
