SAP Christmas Special with David Lowson is back with the 2021 edition. This year David had 17 things you need to know about SAP in 2021 and going forward to 2022. I revisited the notes of the SAP Christmas Special we did in 2020, just to have a look on what we talked about last year, comparing it to this year;2020- Sustainability driving transformation; - Platform wars, cloudification- Survival of the fittest; - Renewable enterprise, composable ERP- Speed and innovation- Marriage between IT and Business is now more important than ever 2021 17 things:- The 'Race to Netzero' really is on everyones agenda now. It has become the driving force behind most of the big transformation that companies are now undergoing- Platform and SAAS wars have shifted into a new hybrid model of collaboration. SAPs Business Technology Platform has really made strong underdog comeback - Cloud economics fail if you don't have a hybrid landscape and services approach that can deliver innovation to the business fast. - Renewable Enterprise has really taken flight, it is has really become about speedy agile boats costing down a big river of change. Delivering value early and continuously - Innovation and technology have made a huge step change in the enterprise model and are growing evermore to disrupt the business. - New Business models are being introduced faster than ever, this has a huge impact on core Enterprise software- Business is now IT and IT is business. If you are still seeing these to units separate you will be left behind, as the speed has just really made it impossible to keep up. Special mention; 'the war on talent'. All these changes have also increased the ask of SAP professionals. Now the question is becoming more and more about every outside SAP. David; "You will probably get more value with a 2-3 year experience digital native professional than with a 20years+ experience. The world has just changed and will keep changing ever faster in technology and innovation."Hope you enjoy listing to this amazing Christmas Special. if you liked it subscribe, like and share. more amazing episodes are coming in 2022.
