Welcome to Odd Trilogies, a podcast dedicated to the strange connectedness of film! To us, an odd trilogy is any set of three films connected by story, spirit, themes, or shared cast & crew—one that has an interesting angle worth exploring! For example, did you know that the modern Korean classic "Oldboy" is actually the second film of Park Chan-wook's Vengeance trilogy? That's something worth exploring! We hope to cover deliberate trilogies (like Star Wars) as well as more incidental ones, with less obvious connections. We may even curate our own trilogies based on interesting commonalities. Whatever the connections, hosts Logan Sowash and Andy Carr use their love and knowledge of movies to analyze the trilogy as one body, and discuss the individual films themselves and how they were made. Listen and laugh with them as they dive into the neverending yet enjoyable pit of cinematic connectivity known as Odd Trilogies!
