Today's episode is all about Bali! Living here, traveling here, why I'm here & more! I've gotten a lot of messages from you guys on social media asking about Bali so I decided to dedicate a podcast to it! Before I lived here, I met an American guy who lived here full time and I was PERPLEXED! So I really get that there can be a lot of questions about it. Now that I've lived here for 3 years, it feels so normal! I love living in Bali & it comes with its downsides as well - like any place! I'm excited to hear what you get out of listening to this episode! Xo, Kelley P.S. In a new series of coaching sessions, Kelley sits down with her first guest, Olivia, to discuss situationships, compromise, the process of connecting to your feminine energy and sticking with your truth. Olivia's vulnerability in this episode is sure to help anyone in a similar situation who may be struggling to find a balance between compromising with a potential partner or staying true to yourself and following your desires. Join Kelley and Olivia in a raw discussion where they dissect Olivia's feminine and masculine traits and where these may be causing a disconnect and gain clarity and new perspectives about herself and her relationship. More from this episode: Letting go of the super independent, self-sufficient role and embracing your feminine where you let your partner lead instead How to deal with confusing emotions like being totally uninterested in dating to becoming completely infatuated with someone How we should always strive to find happiness and joy within ourselves and not through our partners or other external sources How to navigate the common trap of looking for your partner to be in his masculine so you can then be in your feminine Practicing feeling your feelings through journaling, meditation, being present and more How being willing to get in touch with your desire and hold that vision is an important part of being in your feminine Connect with Kelley: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Nobody's sexuality looks the same so why are we so afraid to talk about it? Sex and self-pleasure are those topics that everyone's so curious about but no one wants to be the first to put themselves out there in case their experience isn't like everyone else's. But that's just the thing, you define what your pleasure looks like, so you can never be wrong! Today's episode is honoring self-pleasure with Carli Jo Cabrera, a speaker, author and Self-Pleasure guide. Kelley and Carli leave no stone unturned in their discussion about how not talking about sex and self-pleasure can make addressing the hiccups in our sex lives that much more difficult. Carli also breaks down one of her self-pleasure sessions and shares how giving yourself permission in sex translates into permission everywhere. More from today's episode: How Carli dealt with meeting the perfect person but having a sex life that just felt “off” The essential differences between masturbation and self-pleasure The importance of communication especially in those moments when we don't feel 100% in the mood to have sex Sisterhood is so important! Having that one conversation with a friend about our sex lives can literally change our lives and perspectives on sex and pleasure How permission is at the root of a healthy, turned on relationship with our partners and ourselves Connect with Carli: The Pleasure Portal: Free Community - carlijo.mn.co The Membership, 1 month free - https://carlijo.mn.co/plans/265293?bundle_token=98c7ee45f6089fa0197a03868cf53c48&utm_source=manual Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
You're in for a treat today! I have an incredibly real and in-depth conversation with my guest Sam Orman where we dive deeper than ever into conversations about wanting acceptance from our parents, exploring the dynamics of feminine and masculine energy in gay relationships, and all the details from my shaved head butch lesbian days! Our conversation is a full and beautiful one where we exchange stories about coming out where Sam had to navigate a strong religious upbringing where purity was at the forefront of everything, and where I was still trying to find myself and battling external validation. Sam opens up about giving up his need for acceptance from his mom and finding something even more real underneath, all of our needs to be accepted by ourselves and to simply be happy. What else we talk about: How we can either choose to have a relationship with someone or we can be right How Sam's Unification Church upbringing encouraged him not to demonize others for their views even if they directly contradict his being How the path to acceptance is an attempt to change each other when we really should be striving to find what's underneath that need for acceptance The power of giving up the need to be right (you'll be surprised how much your relationships can shift after doing this!) Reminding ourselves that our power doesn't live inside of someone else's worthiness! Finding my natural state in femininity and my personal journey with my sexuality How Sam practices being led by desire on dates and candidly asks for what he wants (e.g. sitting in silence with someone) How fluidity in relationships can teach us so much about love and ourselves Connect with Sam: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/__samwise/ Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
After some long, deep and meaningful discussions, Matt and I have decided to commit to a new level of growth in our relationship by talking about getting engaged, getting married and having children. This week I wanted to bring Matt on the podcast to discuss the next phase in our relationship with all the bumps and triggers along the way. Of course we get into the fun, juicy details like the process of buying my engagement ring together and how our cats have literally changed our lives and but we also dive deep into how both of our perceptions of marriage and having kids have wildly changed since being together and the pressures of planning a wedding. What else we talk about: How I never thought I'd be the maternal mothering type but now I seem to be thinking about nothing else other than caring for my future children Matt's previous views on marriage and how he's come to really admire the commitment aspect of getting married How men are extremely aware of when they aren't able to support their partners or families and how this can lead to a lot of shame Avoiding a potentially very expensive mistake by agreeing that I pick out the ring! Hiii everyone! It's a new year and I am so excited to be back on the podcast, I missed you all so much. I thought it would be great to start off the new year with a Q+A about relationships, feminine energy, personal responsibility and all the juiciness in between. Your questions are so potent we tackle a lot in this one including how human connection is so intricate and necessary to our existence but how it's still important to make sure you can be happy on your own; creating new relationships with men if you're struggling with a past trauma wound (even letting the guy at the grocery store carry your bags is a start!) and asking men for what you need in a way that makes them actually hear you. And so so much more. What else I talk about: My experiences ring shopping with Matt! How to help a man with his masculine energy (clue: there's no actual “helping” involved) How I created a healthy relationship with men after making some huge realizations about the men from my past including my dad My reasons why I don't believe in “low-quality men” or casual relationships My physical health and long hair journey (all natural, all the time) How terrifying it can be to walk away from something that doesn't align with you or give you joy anymore but how incredibly amazing it feels after confronting that Asking for what you want in a feminine vs masculine way and the outcomes of both Seeking out quality relationships with men and the attributes I appreciate in a man Apply to be coached on the podcast: https://form.typeform.com/to/hBTemuTz Apply to work together 1:1: https://form.typeform.com/to/LoReHh2i?typeform-source=www.kelleymbode.com Date Like a Goddess Workshop: https://www.kelleymbode.com/date-like-a-goddess Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
We all know that money is one of the most common reasons for conflict in relationships, but how can we get a handle on it from the first date? Today I'm diving into the male perspective so us ladies can get some REAL clarity on the age-old question, who should pay for the date? I'm joined by my guest Nathan Lang, a fitness trainer and coach who lays it all out on the table, feelings and all. Nathan describes his dating experiences and how he manages expectations when it comes to paying for his dates. We discuss how this small question can actually have huge impacts on the future of our relationships that can either lead to a better ability to have those harder conversations and more intimacy or a build-up of resentment and conflict. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: How men should also get to receive the gratification and enjoyment of letting the other person pay for a date How to navigate the often awkward moment of when the check hits the table! That the decisions you make in that moment of offering or not offering to pay can give you insight into how the rest of the relationship will play out and all of its dynamics How constantly fighting to hear our own perspectives can disrupt the flow of a connection Some insider knowledge on how men actually feel when women pay for the date Do the dance! Offering then accepting makes men want to do it even more and show up for you as a man The damage the “Independent Woman” stereotype can often cause early on in dating and relationships How being willing to lean into the discomfort can lead to satisfying rewards like being truly seen, attracting the right person and a much deeper relationship Connect with Nathan: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebalibootyguy/ The Wanderlust Gym: http://wanderlustfitnessvillage.com/ Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Elaina's on the podcast!! I absolutely loved speaking with Elaina today about her insanely successful business, how she managed to draw in the perfect man and a whole lot about business strategy, visualizing your desires and reaching for the very top. This one is definitely for my business ladies looking for love out there! Elaina Ray is a dear friend of mine, a multiple-figure strategy mentor and business coach who is absolutely killing it in the game right now. In under just 5 years, Elaina has managed to grow her business to 7 figures and is not planning on stopping any time soon. Before the major success though, Elaina opens up to me and shares her difficult situation with money growing up, which hugely impacted her relationship with money. She also tells me how she was single for 9 years before taking on a major shift in doing deeper work on her self-worth, changing her beliefs around her self-image and realizing her orgasmic potential which eventually led her to her wonderfully turned-on relationship with her partner today who, in her words, checks every single box. Our chat is filled with lessons on self-worth and believing that you can reach the very top by telling yourself the story that you can and WILL get there, whether it's money or love. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: How easy it can be to fall into the trap of otherizing when we can flip the script instead of sticking by the sidelines and saying we'll never get there How Elaina grew her business by making decisions faster and trusting her destiny quicker How your core energy vibration will let others know how much they should rise to your standards Telling yourself the story you want to hear that aligns with your desires instead of your fears How much money is tied to our worthiness and not allowing it to rule our lives forever How Elaina visualized and wrote down all aspects of the type of partner she wanted and is enjoying that very man today! Trusting in your destiny and acting in spite of your circumstances How powerful women's desire is and how we can use that to inspire men to step up and lead the mission from within Connect with Elaina: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heyelainaray/ Website: https://elainaray.com/ Elaina's book ‘Becoming Self-Made': https://www.amazon.com/dp/1989716717 Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
I'm so excited to have one of my former Dating for Love students here on the podcast this week, Allison Landry! Allison and I talk about what drew her to my course, her beautiful transformation all the way to, you guessed it, the juicy love stories that came afterwards. Allisons shares her struggles with me including how much fear she had around relationships especially dealing with sexual trauma on top of that. We discuss how her lack of trust started to infiltrate all of her relationships and how it stopped her from being vulnerable around people and feeling really closed off from the world. But when you hear her today, you won't even think she's the same person. She's made a complete 180! After completing Dating For Love, Allison has found herself in a polyamorous relationship where she feels safe and loved, goes out on regular dates, and even visits the occasional play party. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: Allison's biggest takeaways from Dating For Love and how much it's changed her life That learning how to be compassionate towards men lets us understand their own struggles better and how to be a compassionate partner How the incredible self-discovery journey Allison went on allowed her to recognise her unhealthy patterns in relationships How she lets relationships unfold instead of turning away from a lack of instant attraction How play and kink can unleash bounds of suppression society has latched onto us That you can receive so much clarity, openness and connection from playing with your partner (or partners!) Her next pursuit of forming deeper platonic relationships and how she plans on forming those connections Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Everything doesn't become sunshine and roses the minute you heal, it just prepares you for the next level, and if there's someone who knows all about this it's my guest and former student of mine Kassi Horn! After our journey of working together, Kassi found that her relationship had run its course and decided to end things. She's brave enough to share her story with us today and tell us all about her experiences with dipping her toes into the pool of self-discovery before becoming completely encompassed by it all including relishing in sisterhoods and being confronted by her edge over and over again. We also discuss being open to wanting help and support, making space for people in our lives (not just men!), calling attention to our wounds around desire and being receptive to our sisters, even when they tell you things you don't always want to hear! We also touch on anger and rage and being comfortable using those spaces to access more information about ourselves instead of writing them off completely. Kassi and I wrap up our beautiful conversation with religion and how we can practice being spiritual without feeling stifled by others' perceptions. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: Recognizing when things aren't in alignment and seeing them as positive realities instead of opportunities to put ourselves down Calling attention to our wounds, especially the ones around desire That sometimes separation is good and we need it to get back to ourselves Being part of a sisterhood is such an eye-opening experience that lets your wounds and the parts of yourself that need attention show up a LOT more clearly The outcomes of taking the step to show up for yourself (they're really good!) The idea of letting go of the independent protective amour and softening the hard shell of independence Connect with Kassi: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/call.me.kass/ Sanctuary Retreat: https://sanctuaryretreat.my.canva.site/ Desire on Fire Experience: https://kelleybode220.krtra.com/t/IRwhQ7U1Mla4 Use code ‘FRIEND' for $195 off at checkout Join The Goddess Within: https://www.kelleymbode.com/the-goddess-within Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Ladies! You're gonna need a notebook for this one. We're holding up a magnifying glass to every question you've ever had about birth control and your menstrual cycle from why you feel fine one day and crying over something someone said 5 years ago the next to how much damage birth control really does to us. We're talking hormones, biology, menstrual phases, chocolate cravings, all of it. My wonderful guest this week, Pauline Gisele is a hormone cycle researcher and educator who after her own year-long battle with depression as a result of coming off birth control after 10 years felt called to help other women all over the world get rid of PMS, optimize their fertility, and regulate their cycles. We talk about all the different ways birth control suppresses our bodies, creates a disconnect from our brain to our ovaries all the way down to it having a HUGE impact on how we choose our partners. It even changes our sense of smell. Did you know that? I didn't! In the same ways that sometimes trauma can choose our partners for us, our cycle does almost the exact same thing, so we're covering every single phase so you're clued up on why the couch and a good bit of chocolate become irresistible at least once a month. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: How we attract different types of men depending on which phase of our cycle we're in That symptoms of PMS and PMDD are actually abnormal and a sign from our bodies that something is wrong How hormones affect every single thing in our lives from our thoughts and emotions to the decisions and partners we choose The behaviors associated with each menstrual phase (there's a reason you want to organize your entire life every month!) How having a better understanding of our cycle can help us better understand ourselves and encourage more self-love and self-compassion Two essential things we need to control to balance our hormones especially after coming off of birth control How low moods and feelings of depression during our cycles is really just a drop in estrogen. It's all biology, we're totally normal! You may want to gear up for this episode because this week we're tackling alllll the triggers. My incredible guest Lorin Krenn and I are uncovering feminine and masculine wounds, generational trauma and everything wrong with saying ‘All men are trash'. A tough pill to swallow, I know. Lorin is a Masculine and Feminine Polarity Teacher who's worked all over the world helping people experience deep intimacy with his provocative style and down-to-earth approach. We have such a beautiful conversation about how Lorin found his calling in coaching through meditations and reflections, we discuss the countless nuances of polarity in relationships and how they come into play during almost every interaction and Lorin shares his profound perspectives on what he calls the ‘embodiment of universal intelligence' stored within each of us as women. We also tackle a little biology and discuss the chaos (the good kind) of feminine energy and how generational trauma can affect each of us even if we had relatively good relationships with our parents. Where does it come from? How do trauma and conditioning show up in our relationships? How can we release our pain and fears towards the opposite sex in the healthiest ways possible? It's all asked and answered. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: What the feminine oracle is and how to connect to it to deepen our connections to ourselves and our partners Why men showing up with integrity makes us trust them more Exploring your true hunger for growth The differences between the awakened man and the awakened woman and why knowing these differences is integral to your growth as a couple Throwing away the idea of fitting into a box and ensuring we are being our true authentic selves How we shouldn't be afraid to explore our dark feminine selves and trust that our partners will know how to handle it Where the playboy/womanizer archetype comes from (it's all gonna click into place once you hear this one) Connect with Lorin: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lorinkrenn/ Website: https://www.lorinkrenn.com/ Healing the Father Wound Workshop: https://www.lorinkrenn.com/trainings/healing-the-father-wound/ Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
https://www.kelleymbode.com/offers/cANQWuAL/checkout We're diving into motherhood, womanhood and all things personal growth this week as I chat with a former Dating for Love student of mine, Caitlin Lili! Caitlin since taking my course and completely transforming her life is now a coach who helps other moms like herself embody their radiance and trust their inner knowing, something she used to really struggle with. Caitlin shares what she learned from the program and how much it has impacted her relationships with men, all the way down to accepting help and compliments on the street and recognizing that all men really want to do is love us and shower us with affection. Who wouldn't want to get in on a piece of that! She also tells me how her life took a major perspective shift by looking at her requirements for men and dating by turning them into feelings instead and dating outside of her usual preferences. She learned sooo much from just this and I can't wait for you to hear all about it! Caitlin and I also discuss the relationship between motherhood and womanhood and how we should never be ashamed to claim our sexual needs and wants as a woman just because we're mothers. In the wise words of Caitlin “being a mom doesn't mean you don't wanna be f*cked!”. We reclaiming sexuality, freedom and trusting your inner knowing all while being the best mother you can be in this one, so moms, this one's for you! WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: All of the incredible knowledge and tools Caitlin gained from my Dating for Love course! Unloading her fear of men and learning to accept and receive their attention Recognizing that love doesn't always have to be an instant passionate attraction but that love can grow over time into something really beautiful and long-lasting That regardless of pushback, you should never feel stifled or put down for talking about YOUR truth. It's yours, you can do whatever you want with it How Caitlin claimed her desires by recognizing that her persona as a mother and as a woman were completely separate That putting your needs first doesn't mean you're a bad mom and will actually improve your relationship with your kids Throwing away the idea that men are annoying to ask for sex and intimacy. Isn't that what we all want as women anyway? How since Caitlin started trusting her inner knowing more her capacity to hold sensations in her body became so much bigger Life doesn't stop after having children! Feeling safe is one of the most important foundations of a healthy loving relationship so this week I'm sharing with you some tips and frameworks so you can feel comfortable sharing your deep feelings with your partner in a loving space. I get a ton of comments and messages from people expressing their fear about opening up and sharing deeply or being completely shocked by the idea of sharing their resentments with their partner because they're so afraid of how it will end. So don't worry, I got you covered this week. I talk about the power of writing down our feelings to make us have an objective perspective on a situation, removing shame from being open about our feelings and I touch on one of my BIGGEST philosophies in relationships which is all about holding that mirror up to yourself. WHAT ELSE I TALK ABOUT: A step-by-step framework to help you feel your feelings and express your thoughts calmly and thoughtfully Recognizing your blindspots, where you took part in a situation and being able to take personal responsibility How safety is more than a foundation and needs to be present in ALL of our relationships How these frameworks can be used for anyone in our lives not just our romantic partners How we must do some internal growth and perspective work and can't look to others to make us feel safe in our relationships The importance of outside support from coaches, friends or family after you've done some introspective work Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Hi everyone! I'm dropping in this week with a quick chat on something you've all been really wanting a deeper discussion about and that is being vulnerable with your partner. What does it really take to be vulnerable with your partner? What are some of the warning signs that you may be struggling with vulnerability in your relationship and may not even know it? And a big one, what does personal responsibility have to do with all this? Hint: A LOT! I'm tackling it all and so much more including the mirror effect that's present in all relationships, working with vulnerability alongside staying true to your feminine energy and why so many of us struggle with feeling unseen in our relationships. WHAT ELSE I TALK ABOUT: What it means when you feel resentment over your partner not being vulnerable with you The importance of personal responsibility and how you could be projecting your own fears into the relationship How taking ownership of your power and impact is a really fundamental and sexy attribute to have That struggling with vulnerability in your relationship may be a sign that something needs addressing within you The illusion that lying and keeping our needs and wants to ourselves cultivates a peaceful relationship That initiating conversation and being vulnerable about your needs is still a way of being in your feminine energy and is actually a beautiful way to express your femininity Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Relationship Check-in Workshop: https://www.kelleymbode.com/relationship-check-In-masterclass Foundations of Love Course: https://www.mattcama.com/foundations-of-love I'm so excited to have my wonderful boyfriend on the podcast this week to indulge with me on all things relationships, love languages, being grateful, intimacy and lots more. Matt tells me about his recent trip to Australia to visit family, which sparks a discussion on what it really means if you're the person who always feels the urge to help and save people, and how sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is letting them figure it out their dark paths on their own. We also have an open and touching talk on all the things we've been grateful for and loved in our relationship recently including our sex and intimacy levels, the fun things we have in store and super excited about for our future, LOTS of adorable kitten talk and give space for both our lowlights and highlights of the past month. WHAT ELSE WE TALK ABOUT: Practicing gratefulness and appreciation for one another and the love we have when someone practices our love language even without knowing it Lots of cats and kitten talk including predicting when our cat will give birth and how the entire experience is a great opportunity to sense what having children will be like How hypervigilance can stem from a lack of trust in a relationship or a result of childhood experiences What it means when we try to control each other and the story we tell ourselves that causes these outbursts How sometimes you have to sit in darker spots and be depressed in order to learn valuable lessons How scheduling intimacy and date nights remind us to prioritize our relationship and doesn't always mean sex but sometimes just physical touch or spending intentional time together Debunking the myth that a relationship can't be hot and spontaneous if intimacy and sex are scheduled Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
In today's episode, I'm going solo to answer a popular question I get on Instagram and give you full insight into how confronting conflict can offer you ultimate freedom in every area of your life. I'm uncovering all the layers in this one including where your fear of conflict may have stemmed from, how you responded to conflict as a child and the impacts that has now, the reasons why you may fear or totally avoid conflict and sooo much more. I unravel my own conflicts from the past starting with the very first with a high school boyfriend and all the ways in which my unstable upbringing and approach to conflict at home had a major impact on how I dealt with it and many more situations following until I found a framework that encouraged me to face my fears and be my true authentic self. I also discuss the major blocks that form from avoiding issues with conflict and how ignoring these blocks can stop you from reaching your full potential and achieving your biggest dreams in life. What truly is the best way to deal with conflict? Tune in to hear the answer once and for all! WHAT ELSE I TALK ABOUT: How being afraid of conflict is a natural and evolutionary feeling that you shouldn't be ashamed of The REAL reason behind why you don't feel seen in your relationship (hint: personal responsibility is a must-have quality!) The hard-to-hear truth on what happens when you DON'T heal your issues with conflict My personal journey with conflict as a child and how I deal with it now as an adult The two ways to deal with conflict (I'm a big fan of no.2!) How we explain conflict to ourselves as children and take those stories with us into adulthood How freeing and fulfilling it is to confront your own inauthenticity with others and working through a framework and support system to break down those barriers to become a better version of yourself How being in conflict with your partner is a deeply intimate act and how witnessing each other's anger and hurt can bring you closer together The nuances of boundaries and how to keep our emotional center in balance no matter what is happening around us Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode (Mentioned in ep:) Relationship Check-in: https://www.kelleymbode.com/relationship-check-In-masterclass Foundations of Love: https://www.mattcama.com/foundations-of-love
For today's episode, I'm joined by Lois McKenzie, founder of marketing agency, Up Club and actually someone who works on my team, as we dive head first into a really important and personal topic for both of us; abortion. In light of the recent news on Roe v Wade, it's beyond important to start conversations about women's right to abortion and what the ruling means for millions of women in America. We both open up about our own experiences with abortion while comparing the similarities in dealing with unnecessary guilt, and shame and discuss the differences between getting an abortion in the UK and the US. We tackle the nuances in the pro-life and pro-choice movements and the challenges that those labels can bring, how different our lives would be now and the situations we could have ended up in if we didn't have access to abortions, and how we believe at the core, that most people are in favor of giving women the right to autonomy over their bodies. WHAT ELSE WE TALK ABOUT: The lack of support for women deciding to have an abortion and wanting more information from real people and real stories How every story is riddled with guilt and shame and ways to counteract and welcome those feelings instead Acknowledging the privileges and access opportunities that we have that so many other women may not have and how that affects their experiences How not leaving space for conversations on abortion can lead to even more separation creating a dangerous Us vs Them dynamic The lack of education among young women on sex, understanding our cycles, protection, pregnancy, relationships, when to recognize abuse and so much more How much of an impact it can have on your mental health and how the lack of choice and support can only intensify these struggles How Kelley's first pregnancy ignited her self-growth journey and essentially made her who she is today Lois' experience with sharing her story on social media and the responses she received (we all have such similar experiences!) Hi everyone! In this episode, I'm going solo to share my thoughts with you about processing with your partner in a relationship. Long story short, it's a BIG no from me! Matt and I have found that when we process our relationship or start to coach each other when we have conflict, it just never ends well. I've seen first-hand how much this did not work for us and so I'm giving you all the reasons why I think this may not be the best idea for your relationship. I talk about how processing can change the dynamics in a relationship, have major effects on sexual intimacy, desire and polarity, alternative ways to “coach” your partner if you're having a disagreement and the importance of having an outside support system (that you have vetted first!) to work through and talk about issues you may be having. I'd also love to hear your own thoughts on processing with a partner and whether it has worked for you! Have you noticed any differences in your relationship and sexual intimacy when you do process with your partner? Has it improved or hindered the relationship? Let me know! WHAT ELSE I TALK ABOUT: - How to avoid becoming a teacher, therapist or authority figure over your partner when working through disagreements and have conversations from the heart instead - How processing with your partner may seem helpful at the start but will eventually wear away at your sexual desire, polarity and intimacy - Sometimes we DO need to know when we're projecting but it's best to hear that from a friend, coach or therapist rather than your partner - How something delivered with care, love and from the heart is ultimately better than it coming from a place of anger or resentment - The importance of having a full life outside of your relationship with a strong network of support Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
I'm joined with the amazing Gina Swire for a cute catch-up episode this week! We have a chat about what we've both been up to and I get to hear all of the INCREDIBLE stories from her eye-opening trip to Egypt! We touch on her experiences with realignment, self-discovery and her overall wild yet incredibly insightful journey as she explored the country and toured the infamous pyramids. She tells me about her life-changing experience visiting the inside of the Great Pyramid (which apparently looks like nothing you'd expect) and completely redefines the term “emotional rollercoaster” as she describes meditating in absolute pitch-black darkness with practical strangers. There are just so many stories and beautiful discoveries she had along this trip that sound like an absolute dream including seeing a lottt of attractive men be in their masculine which is always a plus, seeing a mirage and being one with the culture. And naturally, we touch on aliens, dark entities and anal sex. Lots to listen to in this one! WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: How to navigate disappointment and control expectations Our feelings on female lead dynamics in relationships and how to deal with our own fears around polarity Searching for positive feedback in our relationships instead of looking for problems to fix that don't exist yet The joys of watching men be in their masculine as Gina tells me a story about a group of Egyptian men eager to help her fix a broken gift she received Unsubscribing from certain beliefs that don't serve you (goodbye Mercury retrograde!!) The effects of dark entity attachments and why this could be a reason why people are drawn towards darker paths in life Gina's own experience with dark thoughts and entity attachments and how she was able to rid herself from it and recognize that it was not a part of her Exploring the idea of other versions of ourselves in different dimensions living out other elements and paths of our lives and how that can bring us comfort Realizing that our higher selves aren't always up in the clouds but can also be in other places much closer to us Connect with Gina: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ginaswire/ Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1314022295340317/ Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode Join Matt's and my Relationship Check-in Masterclass happening soon: https://www.kelleymbode.com/relationship-check-In-masterclass
This week I'm joined by a wonderful client of mine, Tori Neal! Tori is an incredible woman who took part in my Communicating with Men and Intimately Yours courses and was kind enough to let me dive back in and celebrate her journey and process and see how she's getting on now. We of course get into her previous struggles in trusting her partner, the built-up resentment she felt and working through major disconnection issues, but we make sure to celebrate every single win! Tori went from wanting sex but getting too caught up in her thoughts, feeling too tired or uninterested or that the mood wasnt right, to both her and her husband barely being able to keep their hands off each other all day. We share so many beautiful moments in this episode from stepping into your feminine energy instead of constantly viewing everything as a problem to be solved, the HUGE differences in how men and women are wired and the effects this had on Tori's marriage, her appreciation for the sisterhood in her work with me and how this allowed her to feel more safe and vulnerable to work through her personal healing journey. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: ✺ Tori's experience of working with me and how helpful she found the tools and insights to take her marriage to the next level ✺ The flame to reigniting the joy in Tori's marriage again ✺ Finding her feminine energy again and allowing herself to say yes to her husband wanting to take control and do the sweetest (and hottest!) things for her ✺ Letting herself receive and ENJOY gifts and gestures from her husband ✺ Learning the differences between how women and men's brains are wired and how this can majorly impact communication ✺ How expressing your resentments and built-up emotions will always be messy and there's just no escaping that (it's a tough one to hear I know) ✺ The power of being inside a container filled with women experiencing the same as you and how that enables you to be truly honest with yourself and your needs and desires ✺ That understanding your erotic blueprint is a huge step in reigniting a sexual relationship, and even though they may not perfectly align, it doesn't mean you're doomed to have mediocre sex! ✺ Truly understanding the phrase “Men want to make us happy” and how this can open infinite doors of opportunity, passion, intimacy and more in your relationship ✺ The importance of appreciation, especially in Tori's relationship and how that was the key to breaking free from the negative cycle of closing herself off to her needs and desires ✺ That it's essential to know that little hiccups and bumps in the road are part of and important to healing and revitalizing your relationship and doesn't mean it's time to give it all up Watch the Communicating with Men Workshop Here: https://www.kelleymbode.com/offers/Zj86tLob Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
I'm super excited to bring something new to you all today! I'm starting a brand new series of conversations with amazing men. I'm going to interview all sorts of men on their thoughts and experiences with relationships and their relationship to the feminine, to bring you a crystal clear image of every edge of the male perspective. I'm kicking off this new series with a friend of Matt's, Alex Waters. Alex is a serial-entrepreneur, single dad and business coach. Alex and I have a really raw and open conversation on his past codependency and abusive relationships, the hardships and struggles of being a parent whilst simultaneously dealing with a toxic partner, the relationship he had with his mom and the stories he held about himself because of that, followed by a courageous healing journey. No stone is left unturned in this one so if you're eager to see the world from the other side (or wondering what men really think when we absolutely insist on paying for dinner), then this is one for you! WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: ✺ Alex's past relationships and his journey to fatherhood and how that's impacted how he sees dating now (and what he's looking for in his next relationship) ✺ The importance of finding the sweet spot between codependency and hyper-independence ✺ Healthy dating habits, the energetics around using dating apps and exploring a new way to meet other people without attaching stories to the other person ✺ Getting caught up in pretending to be something we're not when dating because we think we have to be a perfect version of ourselves - and then we lose ourselves. ✺ That the birth of Alex's son was a real wake-up call for him and an invitation to inspire change ✺ How you may be subconsciously choosing your own pain and how to let that pain show you what needs immediate attention and change in your life ✺ How expectations can rob us of gratitude, not only for our partners but for everything in our lives ✺ That the only way to find true connection is to take off the mask and be our most vulnerable selves ✺ How working on your shadows and going through periods of pain can ultimately birth the best version of yourself and be the greatest lesson on how to live your life ✺ His approach to parenting and optimistic advice that it definitely gets easier with time! We're having a little chat about self-love, femininity and polarity in this week's episode and how all these things can impact our relationships, both with our partners and ourselves. My past relationships weren't always the healthiest (and have even bordered on toxic) so I'm taking you on a journey of all of the most important things I've learned along my healing journey so you can steer clear of those huge red flags that everyone always talks about, but few people explain. We're also touching on the five feminine archetypes and the right time and place to practice being our feminine selves (spoiler: it's whenever you want). The most important relationship we have is with ourselves and if we don't keep an eye on the conversations we're having in our heads, they can cause major downfalls in our relationships, so tune in to get your self-love fix! WHAT ELSE I'M TALKING ABOUT: ✹ How I found answers to the questions “What does it take to be in a loving relationship?” and “Who do I put first in a relationship, me or them?” ✹ The ONE thing I learned from my healing journey overcoming a toxic relationship ✹ How speaking your truth will always outweigh the need to be feminine in our relationships ✹ How prioritizing ourselves and practicing self-love can actually save our relationships ✹ How to tap into our feminine energies even when they appear “too masculine” ✹ The practices I use to overcome living in my “collapsed feminine” by default; people-pleasing, codependency, making myself small and what other women who relate to that can do, too. ✹ Asking for what you WANT and owning your desires (you are not too much) ✹ Self-love and polarity and how it all ties together to create a loving and healthy relationship dynamic Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Hi everyone! This week you get me all to yourself again as I bring you another solo episode. Today we're revisiting the past a little to talk about expectations, particularly when it comes to relationships. Since getting into my relationship with Matt over a year ago, I have learned so much and I've changed my mind about a lot of things, particularly in the ways that expectations can drain us and cause major disruptions in our relationships. We uncover all the layers in this episode and finally figure out what it takes to surrender to the universe and how to appreciate that your partner truly knows what's best for you. We're finally going to get to the bottom of the age-old question: “Who should pay for dates?” No, really, we're going to solve this one. WHAT ELSE I'M TALKING ABOUT: ✺ The ONE difference between modern dating and dating 100 years ago ✺ How unspoken expectations breeds disconnection (this is a big one!) ✺ How our expectations can be damaging and emasculating for our partners ✺ What if he doesn't want to pay for the date? What does that mean, should it mean anything at all? ✺ Taking away the “I shouldn't have to tell you this” vibe and how this nurtures a healthy, whole relationship Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
This week I'm hosting an amazing client of mine, Lena on the podcast!! Lena is a very special client, an artist, a believer in the energetics of love and life, a deep thinker and she's also big on Human Design. So, naturally her reflections on our work together get real! We're talking about so many beautiful things, like really leaning into desire and TRUST and surrender, and how things absolutely always work out - even if we have no idea in the moment how that's going to happen. Lena talks through what her coaching experience was like with me and all of the ways it helped her to really transform on so many levels. She spent most of her life in her masculine energy: being the doer, the decider, the one who gets things done, and she talks about how she learned to really integrate her feminine energy even more. We talk about the baby steps that Lena took that meant that her dating experiences got more and more aligned every time. We're also talking about how deeply connected successful dating and living the life you want to live are. The energy of really being deeply connected to ourselves and how that can literally change everything in our lives, not just the way we show up in dating or in our relationships - but of course these things naturally change dramatically, too. We're also talking about: ✹ Lena's “missing piece” when it came to relationships before we worked together (listen to the end for this one) ✹ Being confronted with all of your core fears: fear of being rejected, fear of abandonment, fear of being vulnerable, fear of being really seen - and how it's all a catalyst to growth. ✹ How owning and integrating our darkness and the parts where we have pain is the key to realising the things we really desire ✹ The power of good coaching, and not having to sit and suffer alone with the things you're working through ✹ The lived experience of “there are no good men around me” and how this was an unhelpful belief for Lena and how she worked to change that story for herself (which then changed her reality) ✹ Learning how to love where you're at and being OK with how you feel and who you are and how your life is right now in this moment ✹ Noticing and acknowledging the way the masucline is showing up in your life and appreciating and learning to love them, even if you're not dating them ✹ Asking for what you want, letting yourself be seen and being in your feminine energy ✹ The experience she's had since we've worked together: men treating Lena like a queen! ✹ How she's now in the sweetest, most loving and caring relationship now and it's different to anything she's ever experienced ✹ We're even talking about how they met, their first date and how he did something really cute that made her feel seen and recognized and really taken care of Connect with Lena: Instagram: @lena.maria.dutzi https://www.instagram.com/lena.maria.dutzi/ Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Excited to bring you a new solo episode this week where I am finally sitting down to answer allllll of your questions. On a daily basis I get questions from you guys, in my Instagram, clients in my programs or masterclasses or even inside my Facebook community. So, I figured it was about time I did an episode to go through some of them. I asked you over on my Instagram what you really wanted to know, and I'm in this episode, I'm going through each one. I'm talking from my own perspective in my relationship(s), as a coach, for my clients, in my studies and the work I've done over the years to really understand myself, intimacy and relationships more and I'm offering what I hope will be helpful insights into some of your most common relationship challenges. Things like porn, sharing the things that trigger you in a way that stops those things impacting your connection, non-negotiables and more. I hope you love it! I promise I'll do this again soon, so if you're not already, come find me on Instagram and let me know your most burning relationship questions. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: ✹ Watching porn when you're in a committed relationship: what happens when your partner watches porn and it's triggering for you. ✹ Why relationships are the biggest catalysts for growth and change that a person can experience (if you let it). ✹ Non-negotiables, how to and when to decide if it's a relationship that you want to be in. ✹ Some of the great things that fill mine and Matt's relationship that really make doing “The Work” worthwhile. ✹ Embodying and healing shame around our sex life: how our sex can be sweet and loving and eye-gazing, and then at the same time it can be kinky and rough and primal. ✹ When Matt decided he wanted to be in a relationship how he was all in and has never wavered. ✹ How it's normal to be scared to share something important to you in your relationship ✹ Matt and I's conversations lately about marriage, getting engaged, what a ring even really means to me, and all of the triggers these conversations have the potential to bring up ✹ The stories we tell ourselves about not being loveable, good enough, wanted etc. ✹ What Matt and I do in our relationship to get reconnected when we're maybe distracted or spending a lot of time apart, working or generally just not being intimate ✹ How to connect with and share your desires to get more of your needs met, more often ✹ How to trust the divine masculine and The Universe / Source as it relates to dating and masculine energy Manifesting Love info: https://www.kelleymbode.com/manifesting-love-masterclass Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
I am thrilled to welcome relationship and human behavior expert Alison Armstrong on the podcast this week. There are so many golden nuggets from the very first minute, it's like a 90 minute masterclass on communicating, human behavior and relationships with men! Alison's exploration of human behavior began in 1991, with her decision to study men: “To find out how I was bringing out the worst in them. And hopefully, how to bring out the best.” Her success in understanding men naturally led to studying women's behavior and making vital connections between the two. In this episode we're talking about everything from the things that (most masculine) men tend to look for when making a decision about marriage (and love isn't one of them), including the main reason a man would choose not to marry someone (it's definitely not what you think) to nervous system responses and our caveman-like instincts and urges. If you're looking to learn more about male and female instincts, tendencies and dynamics in relationships and ways that you might be causing yourself trouble (without even realizing it) when relating to other people, then you're going to want to listen to this one! WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: ✹ “Why are men wonderful in the beginning?” - the million dollar question that changed Alison's mindset and the direction of her work ✹ Harboring hatred, disdain and believing men are stupid - why do we do this!? ✹ Expecting men to be some version of a woman; to think the same and behave the same. Then when they don't do “what a woman would have done”, they are stupid, immature, emotionally unavailable etc ✹ One of the most subtle and nuanced differences between how men and women communicate: how men often mean what they say, literally, and women often don't ✹ How to know how a man truly feels about something (hint: there is a specific of number of seconds you will want to wait until you get a true answer!!) ✹ What Alison learned about men by asking them the question, “what is your favorite thing about women?” ✹ How most masculine men believe they make their biggest mistakes when they act on their feelings (and why this is important for women who want to marry a man) ✹ What happens when we're not consistently voicing what we actually want and owning our needs and desires ✹ How men see competition in relationships (and it's not what you think) ✹ Emasculating the men in your life, what does that even really mean? ✹ The ways we unconsciously project our own preferences and motivations onto another person and how that often prevents resolution to conflict (this may be why you have the same fights all the time and feel like the other person isn't listening) Connect with Alison: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thealisonarmstrong Website: https://www.alisonarmstrong.com Connect with me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kelleymbode Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kelley.bode.90 Twitter: https://twitter.com/kelleybode
Hi everyone! I'm so excited to have my amazing boyfriend back on the show for this episode. We recently got back to Bali after a 3-month trip in the US where he came to see where I'm from and meet my family for the first time (!!) after a period of being apart. We're sitting down to talk about everything from what we did while long-distance to keep the connection alive between us, Matt's experience in the US for the first time and meeting ALL of my family (jet lag included), living together for the first time in conditions neither we or our relationship have been used to, what we fight about, and all the way down to discovering each other's annoying habits. We're even breaking down our most recent conflict and what we would do differently if we were to live that experience again. Share, subscribe, & rate the podcast if you loved it! WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: ✹ Sleeping in separate bedrooms and what that means for each of us. ✹ Conflict and exactly how we define fighting in our relationship (and what we do whenever emotional conversations need to happen). ✹ Communicating what you want AND letting go of those expectations in relationships in order to get more of your needs met more often and avoid unnecessary fights. ✹ Build up of resentment and what happens when you don't simply communicate your desires. ✹ The difference between masculine and feminine in the way that the feminine typically wants more intimacy and the masculine typically wants more space - and that this is actually such a good thing, and the key to polarity… and all of that fire! ✹ Our relationship check ins: what are they, and why do we do them (this is something many people have asked us about - workshop incoming!) ✹ The physical side effects of not speaking your truth. Megan is a master-certified intimacy and desire expert. She's helped hundreds of people around the world experience more love, better sex, and clearer desires through her retreats, group programs, and private coaching. Previously, she was a senior leadership consultant to Fortune 100 companies. Now, she lives in Bali with her husband, two puppies and their baby girl. In this episode we're talking about initiating sex and what to do when you hear a “no”. We talk deep into the beautiful story of how Megan met her now husband, James, and how they manage the feminine / masculine dynamics of their relationship, keeping the fire alive between them while parenting and running a business together. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: ✹ Initiating sex with your words versus initiaing sex with your body (and what to do when you hear a “no”) ✹ Non-verbal connection with your partner and letting them feel you (and how hot this can be) ✹ Feeling the sensation of your own turn-on and embodying that desire so that you are more open to intimacy and sex more often ✹ Accepting all of those unhelpful stories: “am I good enough?”, “do I look supid?”, “is he going to reject me?” as perfectly normal and human and moving past them with grace for yourself ✹ Focusing on YOU and your own enjoyment in the build up to intimacy ✹ Sharing your internal experiences with your partner and using that as another beautiful opportunity to connect ✹ The subtle nuances of feminine communication and what that means in leadership / as a leader (contrary to what we are always told about having a core feminine energy and being a leader) ✹ The dance between the feminine expressing her desire and the masculine responding to that desire with a solution or a plan ✹ We don't have to speak in a feminine way all the time, this is NOT the 1950s (and that's not what this work is about). This is simply about leaning into the energy that feels more natural to you while allowing yourself to also experience the full expression of both the masculine and feminine energies within you. Have you ever thought that that love you wanted wasn't possible for you? That's what my guest today, Bethany Dixon, thought just 3 months ago when she first joined my program called Dating for Love. Fast forward to now and she's in a loving, committed relationship where they're both in it for the long game. Bethany came to me in a place of fearing relationships, fearing men and being completely guarded - feeling like in all of her relationships she needed to be the strong one, and always needed to protect herself. She felt like if she admitted to herself that she really wanted to be in a safe, mutually loving relationship - then there was a risk she wouldn't get what she wanted and that would hurt more. While working together Bethany met her now partner, and in this episode we talk about how she met him through a dating app, the work we did together in order for her to get to this point - and how this is the first time in almost ten years that she's been in a beautiful relationship that feels safe and nourishing for her. WHAT ELSE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT: The patriarchy, society and our ideas about what it means to be a feminine woman that wants to find love and our fear of being “too much” Why it's often hard to talk to our friends about or decision to start loving men and the masculine The power of sisterhood and sharing your experience with other women The choices we make as modern women based on what we think we should do simply because of how we've been taught to hate all men, especially when we're carrying past trauma How she met her current partner during our time working together, after healing a lot of the unhelpful stories she had been living in and using some of the feminine / masculine dynamics I teach inside Dating For Love Bethany's dating process and how it was implementing this new way of slow dating for her with her new partner Expressing interest when dating and using dating apps: what's OK and what's not OK? Ways to invite him to lead when dating (instead of just passively hoping for the best - and why this just doesn't work) Expressing appreciation for the special people in our lives in a feminine way that makes both people feel seen, heard, excited, received, happy and loved Why being feminine doesn't necessarily mean passive or never leading at all P.S. On this episode, I'm here to explain how I've learned how to create hot sex within a healthy relationship. To sum it up in 2 words: Dominance & Submission Dominance is an aspect of masculine energy that women crave - but we don't think that we should want it. Submission is an aspect of feminine energy that women crave to be in - but it's very taboo and misunderstood. During this episode, I'll unpack the taboo and energetics of Dominance and Submission. I'll also explain how to embody your submissive energy in your relationship to help you have the hot sex & healthy relationship that you deeply desire. I can't wait to hear what you get from listening.
