In this episode, I share thoughts on one obvious and uncomplicated tool that can be incredibly powerful (if we devote ourselves to it) is the simplest of all: presence. When we dedicate ourselves to being present in as many moments throughout the day as possible, we naturally being to deprogram and connect with all of the beings and energies around us. And THAT is how we remember our wisdom, our gifts, our power. It's already within us. We're spending most of our time being distracted by life, technology, and thought loops. In today's episode we are tackling diets; from my history with dieting, the reasons fad diets don't work and fail US (not the other way around), what the research on diets shows and why some of the lifestyle "diets" can actually work versus restrictive diets. For those who don't diet, we discuss diet culture - what it entails and why you might be practicing it without even knowing it - plus tips to help you stop subscribing from unhealthy diet culture trends and find sustainable weight management. I hope this episode helps you stop looking for the latest fad, embrace your intuition and focus more on adding in the good things instead of removing everything. Welcome to The Embodied Women Podcast. Today I'm sharing with you something I've been processing around the belief that something “bad” is always around the corner. In this episode, I talk about how I've navigated this belief, some lies that keep you in your comfort zone, how you might be self sabotaging the good in your life, and what life actually gets to be like if you allow it.    In this episode you will hear: What I did when I realized I didn't truly believe life could be this good The lies that come up that keep you small and playing “safe” Taking inventory on what's going so good in your life that you're self sabotaging Unsubscribing from the believe that things can't be this good  The reality of living a this AND that life Why I don't actually set financial goals for myself Letting go of the victim mindset while working through stuff in your life How to actually stay in the vibration of “fuck yes, more please” Do me a huge favor and screenshot this episode, share it on your Instagram, and tag me @iamtaylorsimpson and the podcast @embodiedwomanpodcast  If you feel called to, it would mean the world if you left a review for me on apple podcast. Jenny Blake on Quietly Unsubscribing From Burnout, Harnessing Free Time, and Why We Should Stop Sailing the Sea of Shiny Shoulds

We have all heard the term 'quiet quitting' circulating online. Before it was trendy, Jenny Blake referred to it as 'quietly unsubscribing from burnout.' From a young age, Jenny found herself promoted or exceeding expectations professionally, which always led to burnout. So the decision to work sustainably, setting aside the fears of being fired if she didn't give 200% at all times, led her to pivot again and again until she figured out her secret recipe for success. In her new book Free Time: Lose the Busywork, Love Your Business, Jenny teaches that it's not about working as little as possible. Nor is it about creating a lifestyle business purely for one's own gain. It is about creating a life-giving business that energizes everyone who is a part of it, from the owner to team members, clients, and the community. Free Time is about making small investments now to create greater optionality in the future. It's a playbook to free your mind, time, and team for your best work. This book will teach you and your team to operate efficiently and intuitively while earning abundantly, so you can make your greatest contribution as a business owner. You'll learn much from Jenny's philosophy, even if you're not a business owner. In this episode, Jenny shares how to go from friction to flow in all areas of your life, how micro guilt and focusing on what you should have done is not benefiting you, and so much more!
