In this powerful message excerpt from the Joy Stealers series, Pastor Nana Boadum dives into one of the greatest threats to our joy—offenses, anger, and bitterness.Offenses will come. People will misunderstand you, hurt you, or even walk away. But when those offenses grow into anger and bitterness, they become thieves of joy, robbing us of peace and keeping us from fully experiencing God's presence.Through Scripture and practical exhortation, you'll be challenged to:Recognize offenses as “joy stealers” before they take root.Release forgiveness as Christ has forgiven you.Stop carrying bitterness that may outlive relationships—or even outlive the person who caused the hurt.Walk in love as the only debt you owe.God's grace empowers us to let go completely and walk in true freedom and joy. Don't allow bitterness to control your story—listen in and be strengthened to forgive, release, and rejoice again.
EVENT REMINDERS: Come see me in CHICAGO TONIGHT at 6PM. U-M Club of Fairfield is hosting an online Q&A at noon tomorrow. And then Monday, August 25 is U-M Club of Greater Detroit's kickoff w/ me, Isaiah and Henschke, and hosted by Ira. Things Discussed: The NCAA's NOA: Not surprised it was nonsense; not surprised it was just money because they can't risk operating this anywhere that facts matter. Surprised how little they actually had. They only had one two witnesses, both of them whom the report called liars, for Signgate, and one witness, whom the report also called a liar. Whenever evidence was presented it undermined their conclusions. This was, from the start, about getting Harbaugh out of college football, because he was not wired for putting up with their bullshit. Sherrone--and this comes off in the report and in his response--is one who knows how to play ball. That's all they want: is for you to tell them they're relevant. If you play ball (Sherrone, Compliance, Partridge) they praise you; if you expose them for the frauds they are, they'll do all they can. Nobody still staying it mattered is someone you ever have to listen to again. Michigan got better without Stalions. They were that good because they were better football players. I never want to hear Stalions's name again, because it just takes away from the actual accomplishments of Mike Sainristil. Game in Germany? Not 100% sure it's happening. Me: whatever. I'm not gonna go to Europe to see one of my teams; I want to go to Europe to see Europe. Savion Hiter: The balance stands out. He has a Beastquake on his highlights: Reminds me of watching Ricky Powers as a kid. Comp will probably be Corum. Big Nickel: The math is when on offense removes a slot for a TE they still have a lot of receiving ability on the field; when Michigan matches by removing a DB for a DT they now have to match the TE with somebody else, and thus far it's been the SAM: Harrell, Stewart, Guy. Offenses in the NFL have been exploiting that so defenses have come up with big nickels (e.g. Kyle Hamilton) in place of their SAMs who still have the length to hold an edge in the run game against a TE but can also cover a TE down the field. Mason Curtis has the perfect build for it. Questions people ask on the road? How good is Bryce, what will the offense look like, who is this guy Craig Ross?
There isn't a perfect defensive scheme in football. Let's say that again, there isn't a perfect defensive scheme in football. They all work. Pro's and Con's… sure they exist. But, the truth is, every modern defense should be able to work successfully against any offensive scheme, you just have to remain adaptable. On this episode Joe Daniel and Daniel Chamberlain talk about adapting your defense to whatever you'll see this season, how you can shut down the spread specifically, and coaching your defense to SWARM the football!

Speaker: Adam GodshallSeries: ForgivenessText: Romans 12:14-21Theme: In all the offenses we suffer, bitterness is avoidable How to keep from being bitter toward...the repentant: One: Keep your promise. Forgiveness = I graciously promise to release from moral liablility the repentant offender for reconciliation. The 3-fold promise. I will not recall this offense to you. I will not recall this offense to others. I will not recall this offense to myself. How to keep from being bitter toward...the UN-repentant: Two: Don't seek revenge. Do not repay eveil for evil. Do not avenge yourself. Do not be overcome by evil. Three: Love your enemies. Maintain honor. Seek peace. Be kind. Four: Trust your God... ...to care for you. ...to judge your enemies.

There's a way in which, if one is pure or impure, "oṁ apavitraḥ pavitro vā sarvāvasthāṁ gato 'pi vā yaḥ smaret puṇḍarīkākṣaṁ sa bahyābhyantaraḥśuciḥ." If you somehow or other remember Kṛṣṇa, then whether you are in an impure state or not, you'll become pure by remembering Him. And the best way to remember Kṛṣṇa is by chanting His holy name. The conundrum comes when I feel that I'm so impure that I can barely chant. So when and how do we get out of that rut? The śāstra says, "nāmāparādha-yuktānāṁ nāmāny eva haranty agham aviśrānti-prayuktāni tāny evārtha-karāṇi ca," that "go on chanting, somehow or other, keep that vibration going, and by the power of the vibration, then we'll get more strength, and we'll also rise above the three modes of material nature. When we're taking off in an airplane or a rocket or in a project, the energy in the beginning has to be concentrated so we can get off the ground. So similarly, when we start chanting, when we are in the beginning stages of devotional service, there is more pressure from the atmosphere. It's difficult to get out. So we have to have association. We have to hear sambandha-gyān, and we have to try really hard to focus our minds and to chant the holy names without offense. When we come to the point of niṣṭhā and ruci, then we're taking off from the ground, leaving the atmosphere of the three modes of material nature, "māṁ ca yo 'vyabhicāreṇa bhakti-yogena sevate sa guṇān samatītyaitān brahma-bhūyāya kalpate" (BG 14.26), and the chanting will become easier because we have taste and a standing in devotional service. So whatever situation of life we're in, we should take shelter of the holy name. Whatever condition I think I'm in, there's no disqualification. I have to go on chanting, somehow or other. Fix the mind on Kṛṣṇa, which means somehow or other, go on chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehappy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Not every crime makes headlines. In fact, many of the offenses found in old court records are small—petty theft, vagrancy, disturbing the peace, trespassing, or breaking local ordinances. These weren't the stuff of true crime novels, but they still mattered. They could lead to fines, jail time, social ruin, or even exile from a town or community. And sometimes, these seemingly minor offenses had ripple effects that changed the course of a family's story. If your ancestor disappeared from records, left town abruptly, or was labeled a “black sheep,” there's a good chance a petty crime was involved. These aren't always easy to find, but when you do, they offer an intimate glimpse into the lives of ordinary people navigating real pressures, often under hard conditions. Sip mentioned yesterday on the airwaves---Holgorsen has been a head coach or OC for 19 seasons and has had his teams rank in the Top 25 of total offense 14 times, and in the Top 25 of scoring 12 times—including 7 times in the Top 10 As pointed out by Sean Callahan on the show yesterday, he's also never coached a full year in the B1G, which historically has better defenses than the conferences that Holgorsen has coached in. How much more difficult is it the achieve that stat in this league and is it possible with the talent on the offense?
