Plus, Sam Ferris jumps on to cover the latest news in world cricket. What went wrong for England in their ODI series? Is Ravi Ashwin heading to the BBL? Will Kohli and Sharma turn out for India A? And is Marnus a genuine threat with the ball after claiming a T20 hat-trick? Spoiler: We're very worried. Teddy and Corbin discuss the recent news that Pat Cummins will miss the NZ and India white-ball series as he manages a lower back issue in a race to be fit for the first Test of the Ashes. We also check in on Marnus, before diving back into our mailbag.
Alyssa Healy joins you and Adam Peacock to review the ODI series between Australia and South Africa. Should Australia be disappointed with the series performance? We look at the success of the top-order in the third match, where Marnus Labuschagne's position stands in the side, the importance of strong fielding and the sad news for fast bowler Lance Morris. We look at the career and toughness of Pujara as he has retired from all forms of the game. Plus, we finish with a special edition of Ask Heals. What are her most embarrassing career moments? Does Mitch Starc have bad habits? And does Heals believe in aliens? Australia's T20 and ODI series against South Africa wrapped up in Mackay on Sunday, but the lingering question remains: does anyone really care?Corbin and Ed do their best to park the cynicism as they unpack a white-ball contest with little at stake - beyond putting the Top End on the cricketing map, which we are behind! We also find time to debate Cam Green's best spot in the Test order, Marnus' continuing drought, and why selectors are stuck between quick fixes and long-term planning.

We investigate why the AFL might have an NRL problem before forecasting the weekend for both codes. In cricket, Marnus Labuschagne has been dropped for the Windies, who will replace him? Some wonderfully American reactions to the NBA finals going to a deciding game seven. PLUS a great post-match spray in the tennis. Featured: Brett Sprigg, broadcaster, ABC Sport. England and Zimbabwe faced off in a one-off Test that went exactly how you'd expect - a lopsided English run-fest.Teddy and Corbin dissect the Test, and ask the big question: is there anything we can take from this ahead of the Ashes? Plus, a deep dive into how the Aussies are faring in the County circuit. Who's firing, who's flopping, and is Marnus Labuschagne running out of luck?
Adam Peacock, Alyssa Healy, and Brad Haddin are back to look ahead to the upcoming WTC Final in England. Haddin names his XI and reveals who he thinks should be opening the batting. Is there a world where Nathan Lyon misses out due to four seamers? Marnus has had two misses in County cricket, and Cam Green is absolutely flying. We look at the IPL, as Hadds' Kings are on a roll heading into the playoffs, while Delhi can't buy a wicket without Mitchell Starc. Plus, we head to Sundries to check out Steve Smith's New York holiday, and Heals gives us an insight into the Australian women's team camp in Darwin next week. Season 18, Episode 14: It's almost northern Test summer time, with Ben Stokes out of hibernation, Zimbabwe playing warm-ups, and the Australian and South African IPL players... heading back to India to finish the delayed season. Ah well. Meanwhile, Cam Green makes runs while Marnus doesn't, the South African squad is named, West Indies have a new captain, Middlesex is more into Virat Kohli than Kohli is into Middlesex, and Charlotte Edwards' first squad doesn't include Sophie Ecclestone, which might mean one of two very different things. In this episode of the show, Baldy & Stu look back with contrasting emotions at the week (or three days) that was after Australia's convincing win against India and New Zealand once again collapsing against England. We start the show on a happy note for Baldy by discussing a turnaround in fortunes for Australia during the pink-ball Test in Adelaide. Scott Boland picked up where Josh Hazlewood left off, Mitchell Starc's radar was on from ball one and Pat Cummins also played his part in a dominant performance from the Aussie quicks. We also saw valuable contributions from Marnus Labuschagne and Nathan McSweeney, a hundred from Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy continue to look very comfortable at Test level. There's also discussion about why batters are struggling so much at the moment when the ball moves around, and the topsy-turvy nature of Test cricket results all over the world. In the second half of the show, it was rinse and repeat for England as Harry Brook and then Brydon Carse took centre stage again and the Black Caps crumbled under the pressure. In fact, England were so dominant we didn't even mention that Gus Atkinson took a hat-trick! There's praise for Joe Root, Jacob Bethell & Nathan Smith, Tom Blundell's return to form, a conversation about England winning the tactical battle, and unfortunately more selection questions for New Zealand with Tim Southee and Devon Conway in particular under the spotlight. We'll be back in your feed again next week with more news and views from both these exciting series. The 3XY chart this week is just that - WEAK like the Australian batting line up and both cop their rightful whack. No prisoners here, everyone is fair game, from Marnus to Ding Dong, Smudge to Dazza it's shame on. Finally, Finey's been doing some sticker spotting and does not like what he sees.
