The cage breaks open. Caravaggio breaks with it.Chained in a torture chamber beneath the fortress, Caravaggio faces the Grand Master one last time. Faith against flesh. Obedience against desire. What follows is an escape down a fortress wall, a boat in the dark, and a fugitive painter running not toward freedom but toward the only thing he has left.Act Three is the fall. Brutal. Beautiful. Inevitable.Sicily. Caravaggio paints like a man on fire. In Syracuse, a burial. In Messina, a nativity. Each canvas more desperate than the last. Each one a confession he cannot say out loud. The genius is still there. The man holding the brush is disappearing.Back in Rome, the news arrives. Lena. The woman whose face launched his greatest work. Gone. Caravaggio learns what it costs to leave someone behind in a city that devours the unprotected.Cardinal Del Monte makes his final play. A pardon. A real one. Signed by the Pope himself. But the pardon needs a delivery and Caravaggio needs to stay alive long enough to receive it.Naples. A prison cell. Malaria. Chains. The Grand Master finds him one last time. Two men who could never say what they meant finally say it. It is too late for both of them. Then a swamp. Bandits. A boiling sun. A beach. A boy. Two nuns. And the Tyrrhenian coast, where the greatest painter of his generation reaches for the light one final time. The pardon arrives. The man does not.Act Three is reckoning. Loss. Grace. The moment the fuse runs out. What you see in the art, you will find in the artist. What you see in the artist, you will find in the man.Cast Dennis Kleinman · Narrator Craig Parker · Caravaggio Dan Lauria · Cardinal Del Monte Bruce Davison · Alof de Wignacourt Shaan Sharma · Stefano della Croce Catherine Lidstone · Lena Sarah Elmaleh · Maria Brendan Bradley · Annibale Carracci Noah James · Ranuccio Tomassoni Josh Sterling · Ottavio Tomassoni Zeke Alton · Giovan Tomassoni Nick Monteleone · Mancini Matt Curtin · Toppa Bjorn Johnson · Pope Paul V Ray Abruzzo · Pope Clement VIIIWritten by Richard VetereExecutive Produced by Jack Levy, Shaan Sharma, and Mark KnellTable Read is a Manifest Media production.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

thecreativemastermind.com/ danielcubillo.tv@gmail.com ABOUT DANIEL Creating innovative, engaging audiovisual content for people, organizations, and causes telling stories that matter. I'm a showrunner, writer, and creative executive with over 30 years of experience, also working on independent creative projects and offering consulting services to the next generation of content creators. MEET DANIEL I have dedicated my life to content creation of all sorts. You name it: music video clips, wedding videos, live Real Madrid soccer games, awards galas, Real Housewives' episodes, interactive gameshows, influencer YouTube videos, historical TV movies, and beyond. I've spent decades identifying, developing, adapting, and producing audiovisual content, both for major players in the industry and for my own boutique production company. I've been lucky enough to learn from television legends, coworkers, mentors, bosses, peers, and teachers. Thanks to their generosity, wisdom, and expertise, I've accomplished incredible things, like creating and running a multimillion-euro primetime scripted drama and adapting and running from Los Angeles what became the most viewed show in Facebook Watch history at the time. Now, I'm excited to pass on that expertise to the next generation of content creators. I offer full-service consulting, mentorship, and production services to content creators, gamers, influencers, and other public figures who need hands-on support and guidance to get their unique story out there. I'm also constantly creating work of my own. I'm currently looking for the right partners to package my original content. Explore my project catalog here – for more information, contact me! MY CAREER: A LOVE STORY As a storyteller first and foremost, I think of my career as a full-blown epic saga, a four-act drama, a love story with all the highs and lows that come with it. Act One had me swooning hard. There's nothing quite like young love, and I first fell in love with content creation in my early teens, when my father taught me how to shoot and edit video during summer vacation. When that love was combined with my love of skiing and traveling, the chemistry was electric. It yielded a pilot for a travel show that didn't just fly, it soared, landing five seasons on Nat Geo and Grupo Planeta. I went from a solo act cutting clips in my living room to a full-blown production force. Act Two, I committed. Jumping from cable's charm to broadcast glitz, I found myself in the big leagues, with millions of eyes on the prize each night. Top Chef, Fear Factor, The Voice, Big Brother… I was showrunning with the best and learning about the game's cutthroat complexity. This was when I committed my life and soul to the art of storytelling. Act Three started out as my honeymoon phase. I ran the show… then ran the showrunners. From inception to air, I juggled development departments and the high-stakes sales market. The exec life chose me, and I embraced it. But as much as I learned, as much as I soared, I also felt distanced from my true love. I saw firsthand how the essence of storytelling often gets sidelined by the top brass. And that sting? It felt a lot like heartbreak. Act Four is where I find myself now: the rekindling. I'm back to my roots, to the content that beats true to my heart, not just what the market dictates. And every new voice I mentor reignites my passion and makes me feel committed and passioned again. Jointly, we're rewriting the script, elevating narratives, and crafting content that doesn't just fit the bill, it sets the bar. Embracing the “Open” in Open Nesting (Season 6 | Episode 222) with Joy Rose (Season 6 | Episode 222) This week on the Open Nesters podcast, my co-host Amir and I had the absolute pleasure of revisiting a truly boundary-breaking conversation with the incredible Joy Rose. As an artist, activist, and the visionary founder of the Museum of Motherhood, Joy is a master at helping us deconstruct the heavy labels we carry and reclaim the narrative of our own lives. If you are currently navigating your own “Act Three,” this discussion is essential listening for finding your vitality and flipping the script on aging. We dove deep into the complex world of motherhood —to explore how this role often consumes our identity for decades. Joy shares the raw, honest truth about the “redundancy” many of us feel when our children grow older. It can be an almost impossible shift to move from the physical and emotional all-consumption of active parenting to a life where that role is no longer necessary in the same way. Joy's personal journey is a masterclass in finding the “self” at the center of the roles projected onto us. As her own four children have grown into their late twenties and thirties, she has had to learn the difficult art of adjustment, using tools like cultivating her own passions and finding serenity through spiritual programs like Al-Anon. One of the most striking parts of our talk was Joy's take on modern relationships and her rejection of traditional marriage. She spoke beautifully about seeking “great love”—the kind of love that pushes you out of your comfort zone and requires you to show up with integrity and consciousness. It was so illuminating to hear how she and her partner, despite being on opposite ends of the political spectrum, find deep connection through simple kindness and shared values. For those of you looking to explore these themes further, Joy is continuing her work by launching online classes through the Museum of Motherhood website. She encourages everyone, especially “women of a certain age,” to be brave, be expansive, and stop repeating patterns that no longer serve them. Whether it’s through art, study, or simply trying to live on your own, there are so many ways to “show up” for yourself in this new stage of life. We are so grateful to Joy for her wisdom and for helping us “unlabel” the judgments we often place on ourselves and others. As we move forward, I hope you'll join us in witnessing the growth of our families and ourselves with open hearts and fewer expectations. Synopsis After nearly a year of dating, lovebirds Liz and Malcom drive to Malcom's family cabin for a little getaway. Liz immediately begins to pick up on some strange vibes, both from the cabin and Malcom. Something is definitely off, but at least there is chocolate cake. As Liz learns more about Malcom, she is bombarded by visions of dead women, creepy ghouls, and severed heads. All of this in the name of love, maybe it would have been better to stay single after all. Review of Keeper Keeper's trailer keeps things pretty ambiguous, and so I had very little knowledge of this film before going in. All I could gather was that this movie was about a woman on a trip with her boyfriend, who is kind of creepy. And honestly, that's what we get from this movie for the entirety of Act 1 and Act 2. Liz is just mildly bothered by her boyfriend acting strangely, but other than that, there isn't much to say about it. The director Osgood Perkins is currently making a name for himself with movies like The Blackcoat's Daughter and Longlegs, but Keeper seems to be something else. While there are mixed reviews for Longlegs (some loving it and others finding it weird and cheesy), what we can all agree on is that Longlegs had some very interesting concepts that make the movie worth checking out. Unfortunately for Keeper, there really just isn't anything all that interesting about it. It's a cabin in the woods story, with a domineering, creepy man, and a seemingly helpless yet feisty female protagonist. It almost doesn't get more cliche than that. I will say that Act Three opens the movie up a little bit more, and the creepy visuals and monster designs were quite scary-looking. But that doesn't make up for the movie being kind of bland most of the time. Even when it ends up doing something kind of good, the story is still borderline nonsensical. Score 3/10

Writers often get stuck at the transition between Act Two and Act Three—especially when the “all hope is lost” moment doesn't quite fit their story. Is this moment supposed to be the character's lowest emotional point? Is redemption supposed to kick in right away? What if your character is still flailing? In this episode, Zena challenges the conventional “lowest point” terminology and offers a more nuanced, flexible way to think about this crucial plot transition—and how understanding this shift can raise the stakes and deepen your protagonist's arc.Want access to office hours like this one? This episode comes straight from Zena's monthly Office Hours, an exclusive perk for anyone who's ever taken one of her courses. What if your greatest impact as a leader begins after your "official" career ends? Joe Davis, former Managing Director and Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and author of "The Generous Leader: 7 Ways to Give of Yourself for Everyone's Gain", joins Peter Winick to share insights from his extraordinary shift from consulting titan to impactful thought leader. Joe reveals how the disruptions of COVID-19 inspired him to write his book—not just as a professional calling card, but to encourage executives to lead with heartfelt generosity and empathy. He emphasizes that legacy leadership isn't measured by revenue alone but by meaningful connections, personal growth, and empowering others. This episode is for CEOs and senior leaders contemplating their own "Act Three." Joe discusses the challenges and opportunities when transitioning from a structured corporate role into thought leadership and advisory work. He highlights the importance of being selective and intentional about the roles you choose post-retirement, avoiding burnout, and keeping control over your time. Joe also candidly discusses how success is redefined after a corporate career. He measures impact differently now, valuing deep personal connections, mentoring opportunities, and moments spent with family—especially his grandchildren. If you're an executive thinking about your next meaningful chapter, listen in as Joe Davis shares hard-won wisdom and practical guidance on building your legacy beyond the boardroom. Three Key Takeaways: • Legacy Starts Now: True leadership legacy isn't shaped by quarterly earnings or titles—it's built through empathetic connections, generosity, and empowering others, starting today. • Choose Wisely Post-Retirement: After a high-powered career, saying "yes" to everything can quickly lead to burnout. Be selective; prioritize roles that align deeply with your purpose. • Redefine Success on Your Terms: Success beyond the C-suite isn't measured by traditional metrics. Meaningful impact emerges from mentoring, family time, and genuinely fulfilling activities. If Joe Davis's insights on moving from executive roles to impactful thought leadership resonated with you, check out our episode featuring Vaughn Sigmon. Vaughn shares how he successfully transitioned from corporate leadership at CarMax to launching his own thriving leadership development firm. Both episodes explore how intentionality, authenticity, and clear personal branding drive meaningful post-corporate careers.
