Artist/Writer Brian Pulido is a longstanding pioneer of independent horror comics. Known for creating such characters as Evil Ernie, Purgatori and Lady Death, he has always had an uncompromising vision and rock and roll sensibility. Recently his Lady Death Kickstarters have been setting records and breaking the comic distribution model. He shares the story of losing his Chaos Comics characters to lawsuits and how he overcame that adversity to achieve his current success. Pulido is still a groundbreaker in variant covers, using materials like Swarovski crystals and leather, we predict the Gwar comic a week before it was announced, and discuss his love of punk and metal with an analysis of what makes a good "Cookie Monster singer".
