The NBA Draft is in the books, and we celebrate Sion James and Tyrese Proctor hearing their names called in the 2nd round on Episode 737! Sion James made a surprise leap into the first 3 picks of the second round, and he'll join Kon Knueppel on the Charlotte Hornets. Tyrese Proctor had to wait a bit longer, but the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the 49th pick. Donald and Jason talk a bit about how they will fit with their teams and the fact that both are set up to potentially receive guaranteed multi-year deals. After the break, we get into some general thoughts on the NBA Draft and how to make it a bit better and more exciting and thought provoking. We continue our NBA Draft previews on Episode 733 as Jay Bilas helps us analyze Khaman Maluach's potential in the NBA! ManMan is a player that could go as high as 3rd in the draft or as low as the end of the lottery, but no one doubts his abilities on defense. Jay thinks the real upside comes on offense, where may think that if he can continue to add to his game, he will be a force for years to come. After Jay's comments and predictions on Maluach, Donald and Jason give their takes as well. We saw what he did at Duke and how much he improved in just one year. The sky's the limit for Khaman Maluach in the NBA. After the break, we get into some of the rules changes that are coming to college basketball, particularly the addition of the coach's challenge. We discuss whether it's good for the game and we get into some of the other rules changes we would bring to make the games more exciting and limit the delays. We continue our NBA Draft previews on Episode 732 as we hear more from Jay Bilas on the NBA prospects of Tyrese Proctor. Proctor is a player who has improved his shot and his passing skills are there, but how does he translate to the next level? Donald and Jason hear once again from Jay Bilas, who gives his thoughts on Proctor's game in the NBA and what kind of role he can create for himself. We discuss what he needs to improve and of course, Jay predicts where he will be taken in the NBA Draft. After the break, we react to Jay's thoughts on Tyrese Proctor and his NBA prospects, giving our own draft predictions. We end with a discussion on Duke adding Florida and Lipscomb to their already non-conference schedule. If you haven't filled out our DBR fan survey, take some time to do it today! There's a whole bunch of stuff to talk about on the latest episode of the Duke Basketball Roundup. We begin with a wild 24 hours for Duke baseball... 24 hours that kinda suck but also kinda show how far the program has come. From there we pay tribute to Coach Will Stephens, the most important part of the men's basketball team that casual fans have never heard of. But our main topic comes after the break... NIL. The House Settlement has been approved by the courts and it ushers in a brave new world of schools directly paying players in all kinds of sports. The DBR podcast dives into what it means for Duke and we even have some of your thoughts on the topic from the comments submitted to the huge Duke survey that we are doing. Head to TinyURL.com/DukeRoundup for more on that! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
It's that time of year again! The NBA Draft is upon us and we welcome Jay Bilas back to the DBR Podcast to break down the 5 Duke Blue Devils who could hear their names called. On Episode 731, we begin our series by reviewing Sion James. Before we get to Sion's chances, Jay first gives us his thoughts on the overall draft. It's viewed as a deep draft, but Jay discusses some of the things to watch as the draft unfolds as well as how the current state of college basketball may have affected the draft eligible pool. We then get to Sion James and what he brings to the table. What do NBA teams like about him? Where can he improve at the next level? What kind of role can he play? Jay provides his analysis on all of that and predicts where in the draft Sion James could go. After Jay gives his thoughts, Donald and Jason recap it all and provide their own predictions on where in the draft Sion could hear his name called. If you haven't filled out our DBR fan survey, take some time to do it today! Head to tinyurl.com/dukeroundup and give us your thoughts! Make sure you're following us! Piotrem Wiśniewskim, founderem DBR 77.W najnowszym odcinku MamStartup Podcast gościmy doktora Piotra Wiśniewskiego, CEO i założyciela DBR 77, pierwszej globalnej firmy technologicznej oferującej zintegrowane rozwiązania do pomiaru, optymalizacji i robotyzacji procesów produkcyjnych, a także autora niedawno wydanej książki „Digital Pathfinder: New Business Strategies for a World that Won't Stand Still”.Podczas rozmowy pada wiele pytań, także ze strony naszego gościa.

From Sion's opening three to Spencer's awesome step-back, the DBR team has all you need to know about the game. And, though Jason and Donald were not in the house to experience it, Sam Klein was and the DBR Pod original makes a return appearance to give us all the flavor from inside the World's Most Famous Arena. And, before they go, the DBR team gives us their take on the rumors that Jai Lucas will be heading to Miami to be their next head coach. The Blue Devils face their second big test of the early season on Friday when they face the formidable Arizona Wildcats. Last year it was Arizona stealing a win at Duke and the Blue Devils hope to return the favor as they visit the McKale Center in Tucson, a rare true road game in the non-conference schedule. The Duke Basketball Roundup takes a deep dive into the Wildcats roster and how they have played thus far this year. They have struggled from three point range but play at a really fast pace and may be the best rebounding team in the country. There are some really compelling matrchups on the court, including Tyrese Proctor facing off against the hated former Tarheel Caleb Love. As the DBR gang makes clear, this is a hugely important game for Duke. After dropping a close one to Kentucky, the Devils need to show they can win against the other top teams in college basketball. Big news Friday morning as Duke landed its first two recruits of the 2025 class and they are quite the pair. Cameron and Cayden Boozer, Carlos Boozers twin sons, picked Duke over Miami and Florida in a recruiting race that was a lot closer and more mysterious than casual fans may think. The DBR podcast is here to break down what each of these 5-star players will mean for the Duke program. They also point out why this was an especially important recruiting win for Jon Scheyer. After the break, Jason and Donald talk about a comment by Coach Scheyer at ACC Media Day that might reveal something going on behind the scenes with the team's rotations and player positions. And there is one more important piece of news -- the Duke Basketball Roundup is going to stage its first ever live episode on Saturday October 19th at 4pm ET, about an hour after the exhibition game is over. We all got our first real and unedited peek at the 24-25 Blue Devils on Friday at Countdown to Craziness... and the Duke Basketball Roundup was in the house (Cameron) for the event. Join Jason and Donald as they talk about a somewhat shaky start that led to an explosive ending in the Blue-White scrimmages. The guys break down all the positives and negatives they saw from the team and Jason, who was courtside, has a theory why Caleb Foster struggled at first and then took off later on. The guys also talk a bit about the pregame festivities and the various choices the players made for their introductions to the Cameron crowd. After the break, the DBR crew gets into the first football loss of the season, a tough loss to a good Ga Tech team that came from behind in the fourth quarter. Despite suffering the L, it feels like the football team is proving it belongs among the better teams in the ACC. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The latest edition of the Duke Basketball Roundup contains part two of Jason's weekend at Duke. First up, he talks about the Dribble for Victory over Cancer and a stunning display of friendship from the folks who make up the DBR community. Fans of the podcast turned out in droves both to support this important charity and to spend some time chatting with Jason. The day also included a peek at a Duke practice and the DBR Podcast host came away with a few controversial takes... including his assessment of how deep Duke will go and which guys appear to be in the main rotation at this early point in the preseason. Oh, and you don't want to miss Jason's play-by-play of what happened when Kon went one-on-one with Flagg and Sion! After the break, the Roundup gang has some intel on Duke recruiting. There were three big-time prospects on campus this weekend and Jason got to spend some time chatting with some of their parents. We also look ahead to a big announcement on Thursday when the Boozer twins will make their college choice between Duke and Miami. This is one of the most dramatic recruiting mysteries in a while and, frankly, we have no idea what Cameron and Cayden are going to do. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The latest edition of the Duke Basketball Roundup features a look at the rankings of Bart Torvik, who plugged a whole bunch of data into his computer and asked it to give him an analytical preseason ranking of every team in college basketball. It spat out two teams at the very top of the heap, the Houston Cougars and the Duke Blue Devils. It even projects how many points per game Cooper Flagg, Khaman Maluach, and Kon Kneuppel will average next season. But, before that look at ones and zeroes, the podcast gang has a long conversation about the wild, wild west that is the current NIL landscape. Friend of the podcast Brendan Marks has helped write an article for The Athletic that takes a deep dive into the truth and lies behind NIL and the transfer portal, with some eye-opening anecdotes. The DBR guys give you their takeaways from a revealing and troubling look at how college basketball has been fundamentally changed over the past couple years... and the changes show no signs of slowing down. Few people have touched the hearts of Duke fans the way Bob Harris has. For 41 years he was the voice of the Blue Devils, calling thousands of football and basketball games, using his voice to paint the pictures we could not see. So, it is with so much sadness that Duke nation today mourns Bob's passing after a battle with Alzheimer's. This episode of the Duke Basketball Roundup includes a couple of Bob's legendary calls and moments of remembrance from Jason and Donald. Before we get to the sad news, the episode starts with word that the ACC-SEC Challenge matchups are set. Duke will be playing a very impressive Auburn club and the game will happen in Cameron. The DBR podcast breaks down some of what to expect from the Challenge and from the latest in a long line of difficult non-conference opponents Duke will be playing next season. The DBR guys start this episode by breaking down the fabulous conversation between Jay Bilas and Jon Scheyer on the latest episode of The Brotherhood Podcast. Scheyer may talk in coach speak, but if you read between the lines you can really hear some interesting insight into the team he is forming this coming season and what he hopes for Duke basketball going forward. Plus, the hints, nudges, and secrets just keep on coming out of Durham following the K Academy games. The Duke Basketball Roundup gang spoke to someone with intimate knowledge of how the 2024-25 Blue Devils are shaping up and got some very interesting nuggets. The Blue Devils get some great news for the 2024-25 campaign as it has been revealed that point-guard Tyrese Proctor will return to Durham to captain what is widely expected to be the preseason #1 team in the land. The Duke Basketball Roundup Podcast team are positively giddy with excitement over getting another year of an elite player like Proctor and they really cannot wait to watch him tossing lobs to what looks like a super bouncy Blue Devil team next season. Tyrese showed improvement in many areas in the past campaign and the notion of him having another year of development and growth should have every Duke fan excited. After the break, the DBR podcast guys take a moment to shout out the 8 Duke basketball players who have earned recognition on the ACC's All-Academic team. It is a testament to the commitment of the players and the school to make sure both sides of the student-athlete equation are emphasized at Duke. Oh, and if you travel down the road a little bit to Chapel Hill, the number of their players who earned academic recognition from the ACC is just shameful. Learn more about your ad choices. It is time for the Duke Basketball Roundup to reflect on the season in the way they do every year, by looking back at how awful the guys are at predicting the stats of the Blue Devil team. And, as as special treat, Sam Klein is back in the saddle to guide us through the results of the annual stats game. While the DBR podcast crew may have good sources and compelling insights, the stat game shows that the guys are just hysterically bad at some of their projections for the season. Of course, it wouldn't be a Sam episode without a few amusing diversions and this one includes some conversation about viewing the upcoming eclipse, Sam's time inside the Blue Devil costume, and Bluegrass music. Because nothing screams DBR Podcast like Blue Devils and Bluegrass. Enjoy!! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Both teams were playing at a high level and no one deserved to lose. Jason and Donald break down all the action on both ends of the floor with special praise for Duke big men Kyle Filipowski and Ryan Young, who were each outstanding in this contest. After the break, the DBR guys have some additional comments on the dangerous court storming at the conclusion of the contest.
