Two men have died, following a two-vehicle crash June 12. The crash, on U.S. 181 north of Floresville near Shady Oak Court, not far from Las Lagunas Restaurant, occurred about 9:20 a.m. last Friday. According to Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol Sgt. Orlando De Luna Jr., the preliminary investigation indicated that a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Wayne Earl Christiansen, 53, was traveling north in the southbound lanes of U.S. 181 and collided head-on with a 2022 Ford Maverick driven by Daniel David Heinen III, 75. In AI oops, Dodge briefly sells T-shirts featuring what appears to be a Toyota Tacoma.For all the things AI does well, it's also known to have its limitations.These limitations were recently on full display when Dodge RAM enthusiasts discovered what might be considered an odd handful of items on the brand's online merchandise store.Among the tumblers, coolers, hats and backpacks featuring the RAM logo, was a product dubbed “2026 RAM PATRIOTIC UNISEX T-SHIRT.” The patriotic part was a red, white and blue illustration of a rippling American flag and the RAM part was a graphic of a pickup truck with the words “RAM POWER” underneath.It didn't take web sleuths very long to point out a few unsettling details about this design, however. For one, the American flag featured just 38 stars and the RAM truck – well, it wasn't even a RAM.According to a report in Autopia, the truck's details suggest that it was, in fact, a competitor's vehicle – a Toyota Tacoma – from model year 2023, at that.It was this indefensible gaffe that led to speculation that the shirt – as well as a complementary banner on RAM's site that also featured the Tacoma – was a product of AI, and shortly after the web coverage, both offending products were removed.Motor1 underscored the punchline by pointing out that Stellantis had another AI swing and a miss back in March when the Dodge brand used its Instagram account to feature “throwback” photos of some of its old models. A Dodge Ram pickup truck landed on top of a Tesla Model 3 after running a red light at NE 99th St and NE 130th Ave in the Orchards area Friday evening. The collision involved three vehicles and sent one driver to the hospital. Clark County Sheriff's deputies conducted a DUI investigation on the Ram driver, who showed signs of impairment. The Traffic Homicide Unit closed the roadway for five hours while examining the scene. A Floresville teen faces multiple charges, after fleeing from Wilson County Sheriff's Office personnel. According to the sheriff's office, a deputy attempted a traffic stop at approximately 2 a.m. on Nov. 12 on a white Dodge Ram truck near Enchanted Oak Drive and Rolling Hills Drive near La Vernia. “The driver fled at a high rate of speed, eventually driving through a fence and immobilizing the vehicle in the brush,” said Public Information Officer Zach Garcia. John is in the market for a pickup truck when he comes across a Facebook Marketplace ad for a 2021 Dodge Ram. It needs a little TLC, but it's a reasonable price, and he's had luck buying used cars online before. He does his research by checking the VIN on multiple sites, consulting friends in the auto business, and even taking a mechanic friend with him to pick up the truck.
