The Pistons have, frankly, looked like the better team through two games in this Eastern Conference Semi-Finals series against the Cavaliers. Wes jumps on to discuss exactly that. In fact, he breaks down why Pistons fans were a bit more justified in focusing on their team underperforming early in Round One than Cavs fans are in having similar discussions so far in Round Two. He also dives into the great performances of Cade Cunningham, Daniss Jenkins and Tobias Harris, explores why Jalen Duren should continue to be featured offensively, and why game three is such an important opportunity for the Pistons to truly take control of this series. We've got you covered for all this and more in this week's episode! You can watch the entire episode on our YouTube channelFollow Wes Davenport on Twitter @TheRealWesD3Follow Blake Silverman on Twitter @BlakeSilvermanFollow Detroit Bad Boys on Twitter @DetroitBadBoysWant to hear your voice on the Pindown? Anthony Lima and Matt Dery analyze the Cleveland Cavaliers' disappointing 111-101 loss to the Detroit Pistons in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. They specifically focus on James Harden's poor ball-handling and high turnover count, comparing his lack of speed to a 40-year-old Karl Malone. The conversation also explores Kenny Atkinson's benching of Jared Allen and why Donovan Mitchell didn't see more than 35 minutes.
Rich and the guys react the Knicks blowing out the 76ers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series, and to Anthony Edwards' return from a knee injury to lead the Timberwolves to a Game 1 upset of Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs in San Antonio. ‘Club 520' co-host Jeff Teague and Rich discuss the Boston Celtics' early exit from the NBA Playoffs and if Boston should trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo in the offseason, if the LeBron and the shorthanded Lakers have a chance to win a game in their series against the Thunder, why the Knicks look like the team to beat in the East so far, if the Timberwolves Game 1 win over the Spurs was an aberration, weighs in on the NBA's convoluted anti-tanking proposal, and more. FC Cincinnati's playoff run ends at home in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and in this episode we break down everything that happened on a frustrating night at TQL Stadium. We discuss the atmosphere with the light-up wands, Speed's appearance after being Ruler of the Jungle, and the incredible Tifo paying homage to Denkey, Brenner, and Evander. From there, we dig into the lineup decisions — Ender getting the start, Engel not looking fully fit, and whether Gidi was the right call — along with FCC's solid opening stretch and the lack of answers after Messi's early goal. We dive into the halftime adjustments that didn't change anything, the questionable subs including pulling Ender, the late push that cost two goals, and the clear frustration shown by several players. We also talk through Evander's worst performance in orange and blue, the lack of energy across most of the squad, and Messi's unreal streak of 22 goal contributions in Miami's last seven matches.
In this episode of the Wine and Gold Talk podcast, Ethan Sands and Chris Fedor break down the Cavaliers' 120-109 win over an injury-depleted Pacers squad — a familiar postseason foe, even if this rematch lacked its usual punch. The hosts explain why the victory, while necessary, didn't reveal much about where the Cavs truly stand and instead underscored how central Darius Garland remains to everything they do. They dive into Jaylon Tyson's jolt of energy, De'Andre Hunter's steady two-way value, and Evan Mobley's assertive night, while emphasizing the need for Mobley to bring that same force against top-tier competition. The episode also explores the intriguing early chemistry between Lonzo Ball and Garland and the complications surrounding both of their injury histories. Learn more about your ad choices.
