Finding love can prove to be a difficult task even at the best of times, which is why many have resorted to dating apps to aid their search. And a major reason why this industry has morphed into a multi-billion dollar one is because of the exponential rise of paying subscribers, who enjoy enhanced features that give them an advantage over peers navigating the crowded waters of the dating pool. Big players like Hinge and Tinder offer tiers of service, with one particular plan launched by the former costing up to $600 a year. But there's a caveat: paying for apps doesn't guarantee you a match. On Breakfast Bites, Emaad, Ryan and Audrey discuss the pros and cons of subscription-based dating apps, and the price they'd be willing to pay to find love online. Madagascar is a unique and fascinating island nation off the east coast of Africa ,well-known for its incredible biodiversity, especially its famous lemurs. Less well known is its human and cultural diversity, with strong influences coming from Asia, Africa and Europe. Michaela has lived in different places in Madagascar and is familiar with the different regional dialects and traditions of the country, and her own family background reflects a lot of the fascinating cultural diversity of this large island. She met her Tasmania husband online, and in her 40s, she came with her daughter to Tasmania to be with him. Like many new migrants, finding employment in Tasmania was not easy, and she found her 17 years' work experience in Madagascar working at various NGOs was not really regarded at all. However, she was eventually able to make the most of another talent - her "healing hands" , and now runs her own massage business in Hobart. Great to hear the the cop that killed George Floyd is being charged for murder. That they have concluded that Mr. Floyd died by asphyxiation. One step closer to him spending the rest of his days in prison. Talking, also, about how people can change in a negative way when they get power. Like police officers. Lastly, met a nice guy who told me how he met his wife and how they are going strong almost five years in. I love love. Even if I'm not looking for it.
