Gary Kiss is a pioneering voice in the field of biophotonics. Biophotonics is the study of the light within life—the subtle radiance that reveals how living beings communicate, heal, and connect with the universe.   This conversation moves far beyond theory. It's about light as life itself. Gary bridges microbiology, physics, and spirit in a way that makes the invisible visible. From his research into live blood cell microscopy to his breakthrough healing technology, he shows how light influences not only our cells but our moods, our immune systems, and even the subtle fields that surround our bodies.   If you've ever wondered why we feel alive in sunlight, why stress and EMFs seem to drain us, or how ancient wisdom about light and energy might intersect with cutting-edge science, this is a conversation you'll want to hear.   About Gary Kiss is an innovator, researcher, and entrepreneur who has spent years at the frontier of biophotonics — the study of how light interacts with living systems. His work bridges stem-cell research, live blood cell microscopy, and quantum biology, exploring how light influences health at the cellular and energetic levels. Gary is the founder of several groundbreaking ventures dedicated to bringing bio-photon technology to everyday life: BioHealing Stream – a platform that streams pure biophotonic light to any device, helping users rapidly reduce stress, improve sleep, and raise their vibrational frequency. Eluumis – creators of the striking hand-built biophotonic orbs that harness and emit light from the atmosphere to recharge the body and its surrounding space. Together, these initiatives reflect Gary's larger mission: to merge science and spirit by helping people (and the planet) recover their natural light.   Feelings with Strangers Socials Insta: https://www.instagram.com/feelings.with.strangers/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@FeelingswithStrangers   Gary Kiss Bio Healing Stream: https://biohealing.stream/ Eluumis: https://www.eluumis.com/

Did God really say you can't do this, or you can't do that? This kind of thought gets in our minds and then we nurture the thought. We cultivate the thought and so begins the process of eventually firing God and replacing him with me, ourselves, and off the rails we go to live happily ever after, or maybe not. So let me just bring this down to us again. I want to keep warning us to not let this stir up in us anger with finger pointed to some group out there, that is absolutely fruitless, if not outright uncchristian. The thing for us to do is draw this onto ourselves. So let me show you what I mean. I am at the center of futile thinking. At the center of futile thinking, in other words, is the me and everything the me wants. I want to do what I want to do. I know best. I think this is good. I think that is right. I want to do whatever I feel like doing. What's true for me is true for me, even if it's not actually true. If I think it's true or want it to be true or think it should be true, then it is true enough for me even if it is not objectively or actually true according to reality as established by God. And if all of this is starting to sound just a tad bit absurd, then I am communicating very clearly because it is.

Neoborn Caveman unleashes a caveman-sized takedown of hatred's toxic grip on our fractured world—from Chinese botnets fueling Middle East rage to Eurovision boycotts turning art into a battlefield. We dissect the "spherical attack" on humanity: plastic-saturated clothes seeping into our bloodstreams, data-hoarding blood banks eyeing your DNA for 30 years, and air pollution blackening icons like Delhi's Red Fort and the Taj Mahal (spoiler: it's not your campfire's fault). But fear not—this isn't doom-scrolling; it's a rallying cry for radical positivity. Learn why almonds slash bad cholesterol for metabolic warriors like us, how Chaplin's Great Dictator speech still slays divisive triggers, and why music—like Sami Chohfi's globe-trotting anthems of connection—builds bridges where propaganda burns them. We champion sovereignty over social contracts no one signed, warn of financial whirlwinds dwarfing 2008, and arm you with tools to protect kids, pets, and your eternal worth. Immaturity is one of the glaring problems facing the church in our country right now. Immaturity. Christian immaturity. Christians acting immature. There are far too many who claim to be Christian, standing in their highchairs with nothing on but a diaper, demanding dessert right here and right now. Christians who have not and are not, allowing the gospel to penetrate their pathologies and transform them into a new person who increasingly thinks, feels, acts, reacts, chooses, and responds the way Jesus would if he were in their shoes and in their situation.

In this video, Tai Lopez dives deep into what he calls the Grand Theory of Everything—the tension between three forces that shape human existence: Your ego (the self at the center of your experience) Your tribal instincts (family, survival, and primal drives) The global society (laws, morals, and systems much larger than the tribe) Tai explains how this clash between the “small world” and the “big world” explains modern struggles like anxiety, relationships, money, morality, and even politics. From ancient tribes to the industrial revolution to today’s hyper-connected cities, he reveals how our DNA still pulls us toward tribal living—even while society pushes us into global conformity. Associate Pastor Ron King concludes our Ecclesiastes series. It's been said that our modern age has been diagnosed with the word disenchanted; our focus on the material has often robbed us of what is sacred. But after all of the wisdom Solomon has imparted in this book, his final words are actually a call to be re-enchanted with a childlike wonder and awe of God.This call is summarized with two final commands: to remember your Creator, and to fear God and keep his commandments. These words are Solomon's remedy for cynicism and his secret for human wholeness.Thank you for listening to this message from Northwest Hills Community Church in Corvallis, Oregon, on August 24, 2025, at 10:15am. It's a fascinating discussion highlighting some of the most “active” Bach flower archetypes and some corresponding “reactive” patterns, with examples that help us understand these personality parts better. It's a great way to envision some of the characteristics of the Bach flowers that we cover comprehensively in the course.

We look at  David Foster Wallace's "This is Water" commencement speech, examining its central themes of awareness, ego death, and the daily struggle against our "default settings." What starts as a discussion of the speech evolves into a broader exploration of how we navigate modern life—from the challenge of maintaining consciousness in consumer culture to the difficulty of having genuine conversations without blind certainty. We explore the paradox of participation versus checking out: how do we engage with contemporary media, technology, and culture while maintaining critical awareness? Through examples ranging from Netflix's "second screen" content to our own consumption of nostalgia-driven blockbusters, we grapple with questions of authenticity, discipline, and the constant work required to see beyond our self-centered perspective. The conversation touches on everything from movie criticism and artistic integrity to the design of modern attention-capture systems and the challenge of curating meaningful experiences in an age of infinite distraction. -Ai If you enjoyed this episode, please consider giving us a rating and/or a review. In this episode, Michael Shermer speaks with historian Sophia Rosenfeld about how modern notions of personal choice—from Amazon shopping to Tinder swipes—emerged from centuries of cultural, religious, political, and economic transformation. Was there ever a time when choice wasn't synonymous with freedom? Why were early ideas of “common sense” and “free will” so limited? And what happens when choice itself becomes overwhelming? From Enlightenment ideals to the sexual revolution and the abortion debate, Rosenfeld traces how our expanding range of options—and the meaning we attach to them—has shaped everything from our romantic lives to our political systems. A revealing look at the hidden history of freedom in a world that sometimes offers too much. Sophia Rosenfeld is Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania. Her new book is The Age of Choice: A History of Freedom in Modern Life.

When you're feeling stressed, burnt out, and anxious — when you're striving and achieving but still finding yourself persistently dissatisfied with life — you might start looking for answers beyond what's offered by contemporary self-help.One ancient philosophy that can cast light on the sources of and solutions to our seemingly modern dilemmas is Buddhism. If you've ever been intrigued by Buddhism but admittedly only have a vague sense of what it's all about, Brendan Barca — co-author of The Daily Buddhist: 366 Days of Mindful Living — will walk you through its foundational principles. We begin our conversation with how Buddhism is similar to and different from other ancient philosophies like Stoicism, and Brendan offers an accessible introduction to the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. In the second half of our conversation, we explore how Buddhist principles and practices can be applied to our everyday modern lives and help you deal with the anxiety created by living in an impermanent world, shift your perspective on daily challenges, and cultivate greater compassion and patience. We discuss different meditation methods, the real purpose of meditation, and how to get started with it as a beginner. We end our conversation with the Buddha's final words and what it means to “strive with vigilance.”Resources Related to the PodcastShamatha MeditationVipassana (Insight) MeditationTonglen MeditationAoM Article: A Primer on MeditationConnect With Brendan BarcaThe Daily Buddhist websiteThe Daily Buddhist on IG
