The reboots, remakes, and sequels of Avatar: The Last Airbender only reminds us that people love the animated television show and the characters who reside in the world. Out of all of the main and beloved characters (Aang, Katara, Sooka, Toph, Zuko) people either know or have headcannoned their futures as adults, couples, and parents. But there has always been one character that even the official sequel show, The Legend of Korra, has never shined a light on. Azula. Fire Lord Ozai's daughter. Prince Zuko's sister. Firebending master. And ultimately arrested and taken away never to be seen again at the end of the show. In this episode we discuss Book 3, Episode 13 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the unfortunate implications of hunting dragons for sport, how the true essence of firebending is tied to the stomach chakra and letting go of shame, and Zuko's misplaced? confidence in assuming he and Aang can take the original masters. As a novice herself, Aang worries Azula won't make a very good firebending teacher- which is why a genuine firebending scroll is a lucky find!
