Trying new things is frightening. The fear of the unknown always looms in the background. But what if you finally realized that it's actually scarier to do nothing? I got to talk with Morgan Saied about how she turned a passion for science into a successful coloring book side hustle. Growing up, she navigated the world with ADD and dyslexia, never shying away from anything scary. Her hard work and determination paid off, becoming both a vet tech and a middle school teacher. But she still wanted to offer her students and fellow educators something more. Could she create something meaningful to help everyone learn? Here's how Morgan followed her gut—and the encouragement of enthusiastic 6th graders—to draw and sell science coloring books. Want to check out these educational coloring books? As a first-grade teacher, it's important to find ways to engage your students so they can develop important skills. One skill that students can always use a bit more of is critical thinking. Jack McLemore was my 9th Grade Science teacher. He had been nick-named Happy Jack by the older boys because, they claimed, he only smiled when dishing out punishment. I was glad to have survived and left his class, but a little re-evaluation made me look at that year with Happy Jack differently. withinpodcast.com jandjpoolsafety@gmail.com Music: The Right Direction by Shane Ivers -

Today I'm sharing a story way back from my 6th grade science class and how a recent realization has impacted my mindset around how we approach fat loss, changing our behaviors around food and body image. Essentially, this idea that the effort matters way more than the outcome. Of anything. But how do we shift that focus? That's what I'm talking about today and why this matters for your long term success. I offer some specific, actionable steps you can take to begin enjoying the effort rather than suffering through it.
