Gregg Greenberg from Investment News discusses the first 100 days of President Trump' s Economy
The year 2024 was certainly not dull as markets soared, rates finally fell, CEOs moved on and, oh yes, a new president was elected. Bruce Kelly, InvestmentNews senior columnist, is joined by managing editor Emile Hallez, renowned multimedia anchor Gregg Greenberg, and James Burton, Key Media's VP of Editorial, to discuss their respective highs and lows.
Gregg Greenberg is currently GM of Media at the C-Suite Network and host of C-Suite TV Insights. Prior to joining C-Suite, he was the lead anchor at TheStreet for more than 13 years. In that position he interviewed CEOs, fund managers, professional athletes, entrepreneurs, and bestselling authors both live and on tape. At TheStreet he hosted ‘The Real Story' podcast and wrote the widely read column ‘The Five Dumbest Things on Wall Street This Week'. Before becoming the lead anchor at TheStreet, Gregg worked in finance at Lehman Brothers and Fleet Bank. (May they both rest in peace.) He received his MBA at Cornell's Johnson School and his undergraduate degree in history from Amherst College. Outside of journalism, Gregg wrote and produced the independent film Friends and Romans, starring Michael Rispoli, Annabella Sciorra and Tony Sirico which won the Napa Valley and Boston Film Festivals in 2015 and received three stars in Newsday. He also wrote and produced a trio of off-Broadway plays titled Clemenza & Tessio Are Dead, The Stella and Saps. All three premiered at the New York Fringe Festival and sold out their respective runs. He is also the author of F*cking Argentina & 10 More Tales of Exasperation. Click here to purchase F*cking Argentina. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Gregg Greenberg, author of F*cking Argentina and 10 More Tales of Exasperation, is an accomplished playwright and screenplay writer, but this time ventured into writing a compilation of vignettes based on daily life events and the exasperation levels we all reach from time to time. Even the book's title is immersed in surreal humor of a story he once read in the Wall Street Journal about Argentina defaulting on a loan. As someone who spent years as the lead anchor on Jim Cramer's TheStreet.com, Greenberg's financial background and his exasperation with the Argentina story is what catapulted him to write the short stories in the book. He recounts that during the last year, peoples' fuses were shorter than normal due to the pandemic and lockdowns. His attempt at injecting humor throughout each story is a reminder that while we get mad at situations, none of those are world-ending. During the pandemic, many people found themselves exploring their creative sides being cooped up at home. In fact, Greenberg wants to encourage everyone, regardless of the industry they happen to be in, to dust off that novel, screenplay, or masterpiece from their drawer and have the courage to put it out to the universe. He adds, “You shouldn't let your dreams and your creative side die.” With this book, Greenberg's goal was to make exasperation a little louder. Mission accomplished. Learn more about your ad choices.
