Lee Brice has had quite a 12-month stretch. Nominations and 2 ACM Awards, #1 songs and success shows no signs of slowing down for him. However it wasn't easy. In today's Country Music Minute he talks about hitting the top of his register in the song "I Hope You're Happy Now".
This week they bring on fellow Big Machine Label mate Carly Pearce. In true Justin Moore Podcast fashion, they run into some technical struggles at the beginning of the episode, but pull it off and hear Carly's story about her very early start in music. She recalls one of her first times recording in Nashville was with members of Justin's band from back in the day. They swap stories of injuries and how they have either affected their singing or happened while singing. Justin gives Carly a hard time for not asking him to sing on her number one smash with Lee Brice, “I Hope You're Happy Now”. They wrap up the episode with a sports recap, with mentions of next week's guest... The Justin Moore Podcast is sponsored by: Bobcat Company. Hello! I wasn't sure what to call this episode. It covers influencer ethics, but in a largely political sense rather than ethical travel itself. In essence, I'm looking at whether travel bloggers and influencers have a responsibility to their audience to be mindful of political and ethical concerns of the destinations they/we visit, and whether we should consider avoiding destinations if their government or culture is at odds with our own brand ethics and image. As well as personal housekeeping (upcoming holidays, getting a VA), topics discussed include: * Why this pod was scheduled so far in advance * I now have a Virtual Assistant and she's going to be good for me * I Hope You've Flossed This Morning * Ethical governments rarely come up in everyday conversations about holidays * Travel concerns while being in the Rainbow Community * Government rule: By The People, For The People * The problems of visiting Uganda, for example * ... but do boycotts hurt the everyday citizen? * Visiting as a brand on a job vs visiting as an individual on a holiday * No country is innocent and guilt-free * Ethical travel is a relative concept anyway Contributions in this episode come from: * Amanda (Not A Ballerina) * Roobens (Been Around The Globe) * Tayo (5 to 9 Traveller) * Kate-Frankie (This Could Lead To Anywhere) * Laura Lundahl A PDF transcript of this episode is available. As always, if you have anything to say about the topic, or indeed about my podcasting in general, leave a comment or let me know. The pod has a Facebook group you can join, too. I also have a Patreon - if you like what you hear, and want to access exclusive content (or just to show your appreciation), then head on over. Until next time, bye for now. :)

You, at the back! Was it you that ordered a chat sandwich? Was it with ramble bread and discussion filling - extra… stream schedule? Look. I spent ages trying to make a joke about this podcast being ‘like a sandwich’ - with the strong base of classic Eurogames (Terra Mystica and Hansa Teutonica) wedged between the spicy hot filling of Root Underworld and Frosthaven. But there you see my problem; the filling is on the outside and the bread on the inside and that just ‘AINT a sandwich, chief. And then where does Mr Cabbagehead’s Garden fit in? The pieces are all there, but my brain won’t make them fit - the sandwich metaphor falls apart like a… like a… wet… sandwich. Dang it, just listen to the podcast. This week’s episode is extra chunky and was a lot of fun to edit! I Hope YOU (yes, you!) enjoy, and have a great weekend!

Blue October first started in the mid-to-late ‘90s, when two former high school chums Justin Furstenfeld and Ryan Delahoussaye, set out to create an alternative rock band that has since gone on to have more than eleven Top 40 singles across eight studio albums. Popularized by their platinum-certified album Foiled (2006), which features the hit singles “Hate Me” and “Into the Ocean,” the group has continued to evolve… shifting from a far more pensive sound to one that is more optimistic and reflective of lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld’s transformation—which will also be the focus of his soon-to-be-released documentary film, I Want It. Once known for their stormy dynamic and self-destructive tendencies, Blue October couldn’t be more distinct from the band it once was, which is why their forthcoming studio album, I Hope You’re Happy, looks to push the envelope even further with a whole new approach. Last year, I had an opportunity to speak with Furstenfeld one-on-one before a recent solo performance in New York City to discuss his transformation, the documentary, and the band’s ninth studio album. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/offner/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/offner/support
