Norm tries to make sense of the Cowboys' Thursday night meltdown — a performance so bad it should come with a warning label. Between the defense taking the night off, the offensive line playing like they were on strike, Pickens running routes like he's jogging a 5K, and penalties that felt like performance art, Dallas somehow turned a winnable game into a flaming 44–30 disaster. Playoff chances? Yeah… those packed up and moved out.But don't worry — Brandon Aubrey kicked really far, so everything's fine. Welcome back to Fueled Gymnast Fall, a podcast series on what you need to know about fueling your gymnast as we move into this next competitive season. Today, we're tackling a major issue I see EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR: the mid-season implosion. A lot of gymnasts start the season in one of two places: ✔️ Looking strong but already running on fumes, or ✔️ Already dealing with nagging injuries, chronic fatigue, or inconsistent training.By January or February, the wheels start to fall off. And parents are left wondering, “How did we get here again?”A mid-season implosion isn't random. It's predictable—and preventable—when you understand the warning signs and support your gymnast with the right fueling strategies.By the end of this episode, you'll know exactly how to help your gymnast avoid the mid-season implosion—the fatigue, injuries, illnesses, and burnout that derail even the most talented athletes. We're breaking it into three focus areas that matter most this time of year. In this episode you'll hear about: Closing the recovery gap (and what the recovery gap is!) Protecting immune health and sleep + biggest nutrition mistakes hurting immune health Being proactive instead of reactive: Creating systems that support consistency all season long Links & Resources Episode 176 – Fueled Gymnast Fall: Are so many gymnasts really underfueled?Episode 168: What can parents *actually* control to help their gymnast crush it this competition season? The Balanced Gymnast® Program for level 5-10 female gymnasts Connect with Christina on Instagram @the.gymnast.nutritionist or christinaandersonrdn.com
Elias Makos kicks the week off with Jimmy Zoubris, former special advisor to the Mayor, and Paul Gott, Lead singer and guitarist for Montreal Punk Rock band the Ripcordz and a journalism professor at Concordia. Prime Minister Mark Carney is seemingly in no hurry to pick up trade talks with U.S. President Donald Trump. U.S Vice-President JD Vance took to social media Friday to call out Canada’s political leadership and “immigration insanity,” blaming them for the stagnation of Canada’s economy. Marwah Rizqy gave her first comments since the beginning of the conflict between her and the Quebec Liberal Party. Just when you thought Quebec politics couldn't get zanier, Quebec Solidaire decided it wanted to get in on the fun.
Political commentator James Mennie is a reporter, columnist and editor at the Montreal Gazette. He can be heard weekdays at 4:05 p.m. on Montreal Now with Aaron Rand.
Marjorie Taylor Greene's resignation isn't a shock — it's a full-blown career implosion. And honestly? I'm not losing sleep over it. In this video, I break down how MTG torched her own credibility, refused to back Trump when it mattered, and completely misread the 4D chess happening right in front of her.If she thought the GOP would miss her… well, bye Felicia.
Disney fully embraces AI to exploit their IP, is this a smartest move or will it be the death of this once great company? Loads of Hollywood news plus an interview with legendary director Uwe Boll about his controversial new film Run. Hilarity ensues.
Is the Trump regime crumbling? Sound bites from influential republicans seem to indicate it might be. What does that mean for you and me? Will it even matter?
On June 18, 2023, the OceanGate TITAN, a submersible on its way to the Titanic wreck site, imploded, killing all five passengers, including OceanGate CEO, Stockton Rush. There were a number of factors leading to this tragic event, including a horrible disregard of basic safety measures, a deliberate effort to work outside of regulatory and inspection protocols, and a toxic company culture. While many of these issues were internal, OceanGate did not make the TITAN or its predecessors in-house. This means that they had suppliers, and those companies had a front row seat to what was unfolding. In this episode of the Art of Supply podcast, Kelly Barner covers the OceanGate operation from a supply chain point of view: OceanGate's evolutionary journey – first to buy and retrofit their submersibles and then to build them The different suppliers that played a role in manufacturing the TITAN, and signs that the company was looking for alternatives The challenge presented by innovation that seems to defy convention. When is an idea truly groundbreaking, and when is it just reckless? On Father's Day here in the United States two summers ago...it was Sunday, June 18, 2023 when news broke that a ship that departed the coast of Newfoundland had lost communication with a manned submersible it had towed out to the Titanic wreckage dive site and that if failed to resurface at its planned time of 3 p.m. When it was reported that the submersible, named Titan, had a supply of oxygen that would last about 96 hours, the majority of the world became transfixed on the search and rescue efforts as time ticked away. While most were openly hopeful the passengers would be found alive, experts in the manned submersible community quietly understood those 5 souls were never coming back. On this episode of the JT Sports Podcast, JT reacts to one of the worst weekends in Florida football history. He goes off on Mike Norvell for humiliating Florida State once again — calling for Deion Sanders to come home and save the Seminoles before the brand is completely destroyed. JT breaks down why Deion Sanders is the only man who can restore FSU's legacy, why the Penn State job isn't what fans think it is, and how Diego Pavia just turned Vanderbilt into a national story after cooking LSU. He also exposes Mario Cristobal for being outclassed by Jeff Brohm and questions if Miami already peaked. JT ends by clowning Bill Belichick's North Carolina disaster — claiming his girlfriend is literally coaching the team. The full episode is loaded with fire takes and brutal truths you won't hear anywhere else.

Sal and BT tore into the Mets after what they called an "unacceptable" and "disgraceful" loss, where the team blew a 6-0 lead to a "dead in the water" Braves squad. Sal placed the blame on the Mets' starting pitchers, who have consistently failed to go deep into games, while BT pointed the finger at GM David Stearns for building a flawed rotation. The conversation also touched on the controversy surrounding Pete Alonso's "down goes straw" inscription on a baseball, with Darryl Strawberry calling in to give Alonso some advice. The hosts agreed that the team's ongoing issues with pitching, defense, and questionable coaching decisions are pushing them to a breaking point, despite still holding a playoff spot.

The New York Yankees and Mets are a mess, and it's all because of a deep-rooted culture of unaccountability. Sal argues that while fans may be focused on a disastrous weekend of losses, the true issue is a long-standing organizational problem. He points to years of management's willingness to coddle players, tolerate "boneheaded mistakes," and fail to hold anyone truly accountable for their performance. This has led to a team that is fundamentally sloppy and accepts mediocrity, a far cry from the winning standard of the past. Sal asserts that this isn't just an Aaron Boone issue—it's a problem that starts at the very top and has been rotting the organization from the inside out for years. This culture, which prioritizes excuses and positive reinforcement over discipline and results, has created a comfortability that has allowed mistakes to fester and young talent to underdevelop.

Glenn and Jason go through an older chalkboard of Glenn's, which outlines how a full-blown trust implosion is created. A new study coauthored by Dr. Vibeke Manniche shows birth rates plummeted in 2022. The Czech study reveals women vaccinated for COVID-19 had significantly lower conception rates than unvaccinated women from June 2021 to 2023. Using nationwide data from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics, researchers analyzed 1.3 million women aged 18-39. By late 2021, 70% were vaccinated, mostly with Pfizer or Moderna mRNA shots. By 2022, conception rates were 1.5 times higher in unvaccinated women.
