VALENTIN HUEDO is a Spanish Dj & Producer, born and raised in Ibiza. Valentin Huedo grew up surrounded by seductive tunes and grooves connected with the astounding nature and free-minded people. He grabbed the core of the island and understood the way music transcends us and make us bond with ourselves and with each other. And since then he's been projecting it both in the island and all around the world. From a very young age, he soundtracked the sunset in the legendary Café del Mar being the youngest dj to play there in a residency that lasted for a decade. In the following years he would do step forward into the balearic scene as resident dj at the infamous beach club Blue Marlin but also as one of the main hosts of Ibiza Sonica Radio spreading the sound of the island internationally. In 2016 he started as resident DJ at WooMooN, a rite that celebrates life, love and art in community that brings back the original spirit of the White Island. Some people talk about writing books, some people actually do. In ibiza that is no mean feat. Hearing the story of how Christian Len gathered more than 80 interviews from the characters of the island in oral form and transformed them into Balearic - a book dedicated to charting the club history of the island, felt like a chat worth having. We also used to work together at Ibiza Sonica Radio when I first arrived to the island and I was Director of Pioneer DJ Radio, but only briefly.  I could not handle my office being the broadcast studio and listening to techno all day and I I left right after three months.  In  todays conversation, we also talk musicology and why some sounds aggravate while others soothe. Plus what it means to be in a talking body. Christian recently became a part of a brand new association to support the DJ community of the island and got married. BUCHAREST Romania Labels: Get Physical Music - Serialism Records - Akbal Music - Time Has Changed Founder of Vandalism Musique Group - Vandalism Black Series - Seve17een ( Vinyl Only ) Biography: Dubphone started in 2007 releasing his first works on labels as Monique Musique and Baile Musik and through years he received the support of Lee Burridge, Hernan Cattaneo, Timo Maas, tINI, a:rpia:r, Maceo Plex, Blond:ish, Richie Hawtin, Bill Patrick. In the beginning he was based in Bucharest having the opportunity to play in Studio Martin or Silver Afterhours alongside big names in the scene. In 2014 he moved in Valencia then Barcelona and he debuted in Ibiza playing for Carl Cox at Space Ibiza in 2014. Dubphone was nominated by Nights.ro Awards the best Romanian portal of electronic music for the following categories: Best Romanian DJ, Best Romanian Production, Best Radio Podcast and Best Breakthrough artist in 2012, 2013, 2014. Didn't took long and his energetic sets, full of colour and hypnotic deep techno vibes brought him to a higher level. His first international gig was Castello Electronica Festival in Mannheim Germany alongside Egbert, Pascal FEOS, Markus Fix followed by Sonar Off debut alongside Oxia, Blondish, Igor Vicente, Nicolas Masseyef in Barcelona. Proud and honored to present BRPodcast # 153 with Argentinian Alberto Blanco. Born in La Plata, his main musical influences are Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Sasha, Steve Lawler, Dave Seaman, Timo Maas, Danny Howells among other great leaders of the electronic music scene. His interests and path towards his destiny began to define themselves in 2006 which lead him to roots of electronic music when he moved to Ibiza where he began his career as a formal DJ participating in various private events, clubs like Heaven, El Ayoun, Es Paradis and local radios worldwide known as Ibiza Global Radio, first hand the legendary Joan Ribas and then at Ibiza Sonica Radio residency thanks to Igor Marijuan on his radio show 'Club Ibiza'. He then returns to Argentina and participate in a mini tour of the Atlantic coast in presentations of the 'Expression's' in Emme Club, Sobremonte Disco in the series 'Made In Ibiza' La Princesa Bar, and Villa Gesell at the renowned Chauen Bar. 2011 was the time for a new and very important step for Alberto as he moved to Barcelona to pursue the new path of music production where he relies on his remarkable ability to combine sounds, genres and styles and starts producing with Graziano Raffa, and along with Hernan Cattaneo's support of their productions, not only on his radio show "Resident," but also in the largest international clubs, they signed their first EP with Norman Hís distinguished label, Stripped Records (UK). During this time, Alberto meets and begins producing with Matias Vila remaining finalists Remix Contest '' dPen - Vasanizome '' released in the important Belgian label Sound Avenue. His performances in Barcelona in venues such as BLVD Barcelona, Slow Club just no name a few were multiplied. As we can see 2012 was a year of successes, where at the end of the year it is again in the city of Mar del Plata. In early 2013 starts with new projects, now together with Marcelo Paladini forming a duo that genre optimal responses from great DJs and producers worldwide such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Robert Babicz, Nick Varon, to name a few, remixing artists like Guy J, Alex Niggemann and Oxia, and editing labels like Agara Music, 3rd Avenue and Balkan Connection. His continuous performances in the cycle Master Series was an excellent response from the local public demanding, Sharing the decks with: Silicone Soul, Sahar Z, Nick Varon, Stelios Vassiloudis, Graziano Raffa Andrea Cassino, dPen, Nikko.Z and Darin Epsilon to name a few, in the best clubs, GAP Disco, Pueblo Limite (Villa Gesell), Diamond Club, Blue Disco, Sethai and Biologia Club. Along with its rhythms, we have seen him sharing nights along artists such as Fumiya Tanaka, Craig Richards, Julian Perez, Binh or Voigtmann among others, performing in some of the best clubs in the world such as Club Der Visionäre, Hoppetosse, Parker Lewis, RED58, Club Mago in Japan to name a few.. Dafoe is well known in Barcelona for its magic dj sets with minimal and eclectic vibes that make the clubber get so deep in full journeys full of deep basses and hypnotic atmospheres. As a special record selector and with more than 10 years of experience behind the plates, he provides the right selection to always set the right tone. In this case, Dafoe delivers to us a studio set with some housy touches that brings this particular journey a more colorful and alive vibe. Mentioning also that this year he’s gonna make an extended Tour over South America from January 16th to February 20th and traveling around Perú, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. From early January 16th we will be able to listen and see him live from the Project Media studios in Lima and the next day with Mélancolie at Club FUGA and from these two gigs, he won’t stop for the whole tour. This week we are welcoming July Z and presenting a 1h cut from the studio set he made exclusively for us, in which he delivers his genuine groovy and fresh canarian style. It’s been a great year for July Z, debuting with this great aka in the whole European underground house scene, launching his fourth vinyl release after just one year. He told us his main goal is to release in his own label and make some collabs of just one cut with some friends who he believes would match the sound vision. That was the case of the last release he made along with @whoisJulenn. The personal growth this artist has experienced in the last years left us all amazed, both his talent and productivity, representing his unique sound vision. He told us in his own words “I did this label to create music without being false-worried to fit the sound of one label or another”, just to show his most personal side. Spoilering a bit his next release, it will be Mr Blume, with an edit by @Ray_Mono, a great british producer.
