Marcos Flores divides opinion among Adelaide United fans simply because he was such a great player who ultimately ended up on the books of our arch-rivals Melbourne Victory. Still the Club's only Johnny Warren Medal winner, the mercurial playmaker speaks openly about his time with the Reds, why he left, why didn't come back, how he still loves the Club and the city of Adelaide and what he is doing now with local amateur club, Adelaide Atletico. Please rate and review to help other fans find the podcast and to help us climb the charts!
Marcos was so many wonderful things to many, he was my only big brother in whom I loved. I enjoyed our time in ministry together, and knowing he was on the keyboard was assuring that a move of the Holy Spirit was eminent. Marcos will truly be missed in the family and in life, as Psalms 30:5 says, "Mourning may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning." I know that what God can stop in His power, He allows in His wisdom, and in this we rest our minds and souls. Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/elias-flores/support
Black holes are one of the strangest things in space: gravity is so strong that nothing gets out, not even light, so learning about them is a big challenge for scientists. If black holes “eat” everything around them, could one black hole eat another black hole? We talked with astrophysicist Marcos Flores to shed some light on the subject. Are you in the dark with a Moment of Um question? Send it to us at BrainsOn.org/contact and you could hear the answer on a future episode!

In this week's Preview Show, we are joined in the studio by a man who is arguably the club's most divisive player of all time. Marcos Flores is resented by sections of Adelaide United's supporter base, while still adored by many others, who will never forget the excitement he brought to the City and the team back in 2010. Whatever you think of the man, he's been fittingly summoned to accompany us in previewing the 2018/19 Round 23 clash against the Central Coast Mariners as he played for both clubs. Marcos also provides a refreshingly honest account of his time as a player with United and the aftermath of his split with the club as well as detailing the consequences of joining our bitter rivals Melbourne Victory. The necromancer from Reconquista will forever hold significant value in the history of our club, love him or not!

Welcome to Season One Episode Sixteen of the HECHO Corpus Christi Podcast, the podcast featuring Corpus Christi’s Creators Makers Doers and Builders. Marcos Flores is our guest on this episode. Marcos runs the family business, Gulf Coast Glass Company, but you probably know him as Senor Cheesehead. Marcos may be one of the most unique Green Bay Packers fans in the country as he blends his heritage with his fandom. To help celebrate and share his love for the Packers, he created a clothing and gear line under the Senor Cheesehead brand, and as you’ll hear in this episode, Marcos breaks a bit of news about his brands! Marcos and I met through the Rise School of Corpus Christi, where our sons are in the same preschool class. The Rise School is a full inclusion school where typically-developing kids like Marcos’s son and kids with Down syndrome like my son, or other developmental challenges, are included in the same classroom with highly trained teachers. Each set of kids learns and grows with and from the other. But Marcos’s heart for people with challenges extends beyond the Rise School. He is a major runner and runs 5Ks and 10Ks with the Wings of Texas and his buddy Charlie, who also happens to be a huge Packers fan. Marcus runs these races while pushing Charlie in a special racing wheelchair so that Charlie can feel the same thrill of competition and racing that those how are self-ambulatory feel. Marcos squeezes so much into each day, serving his family, managing Gulf Coast Glass Company, expanding Senior Cheesehead, running and training, and serving others. It’s going to be fun to hear his forthcoming podcast, so be sure to follow him on Instagram @senorcheesehead to get updates on when his show goes live!
