Alby Ranson and Scuffletown Smokers don't cook every weekend, like many championship-level BBQ teams. But the southern Indiana team makes the most of its opportunities, notching another World Championship recently at the KCBS World Invitational. On Episode 308 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Podcast, Alby reviews the winning cook and talks about how the title compares to winning The Jack Daniels World Invitational last fall.  We also talk it over with Thomas Gearhart of Mudville BBQ, the 2019 American Royal World Series of BBQ Open Grand Champion. Thomas is still winning, but most the conversation this time focuses on his role on the KCBS Board of Directors, where he authored a report on a proposal to re-make the model of how Masters and Backyard teams are defined. It's a long ways from the finish line, but Thomas explains the process. Skyler Spartan from The Grill Guys of Missouri has the latest from the BBQ store in Republic, Mo. Co-hosts Lyndal and Steve review their cooking weeks and preview the upcoming weekend, plus happenings in the sports world.  A big thanks to our show sponsors and marketing partners. Część I: Kolebka – w krainie mgieł i wojowników Zaczynamy w czasach pierwszych osadników, którzy zamieszkiwali te tereny już tysiące lat temu. Część II: Unia – krew, pot i miecz Przez wieki Szkoci walczyli o swoją niepodległość, a legendy takich bohaterów jak William Wallace i Robert Bruce do dziś budzą podziw. • Wojna o niepodległość – jak Wallace i Bruce pokonali Anglików? Jakie taktyki stosowali przeciw liczniejszym wojskom króla Edwarda I? Rafał Timeline: 0:00 Intro 4:30 Prolog: Kraina Mgieł 11:59 Rozdział I: Kolebka. W krainie mgieł i pierwszych wojowników. Piktowie 17:53 Rzymianie: Zderzenie imperiów. It even requires users to submit personal details such as national identity card numbers and IP addresses. This crackdown erodes the privacy and freedoms VPNs offer, leaving citizens increasingly vulnerable to surveillance and control and stifling the flow of information. In a country where Internet disruptions and bans on platforms like X are commonplace, restricted VPN access could limit access to financial freedom tools like Bitcoin (which to some degree rely on access to on and off ramps like digital asset exchanges). The regime may further isolate Pakistanis from decentralized financial systems by tightening its grip on digital platforms and consolidating its control over information and financial activity. In this episode of Hello Monday, Jessi Hempel sits down with Max Bennett, AI entrepreneur and author of A Brief History of Intelligence. Max takes us on a fascinating journey through evolution of intelligence, from the first brain 600 million years ago to the artificial intelligence of today. Drawing from his experience in building AI for marketers and now as the founder of Alby—an AI startup—Max offers a unique perspective on how we think about and design intelligent systems. Max's insights are especially timely, given the growing ethical debates around AI's role in our lives. This episode dives into some of the most important questions we face as AI becomes increasingly embedded in our personal and professional lives. As AI continues to automate more jobs and shape new industries, Max also offers a thought-provoking perspective on how we might continue to find purpose in a world where machines take over more tasks. This conversation is essential listening for anyone interested in the future of AI, ethics, and the impact of automation on society. Continue the conversation with us at Hello Monday Office Hours! RSVP here to join us on the LinkedIn News page this Wednesday at 3 PM EST.

Welcome to yet another spooky season episode of the Family Plot Podcast!  This week we go to the McPike Mansion in Alton, Illinois.  We talk about the history of this beautiful showplace, how it was built by Henry Guest McPike a Civil War soldier, a man who owned a box making company, produced his own grape that became popular in wine making, was an executive for an Insurance company and even sold real estate.  We cover McPike's history and the home's and then settle down to talk about the spooks that still haunt the place.  Arthur has a lot in his corner after managing to break one foot and sprain the other while dancing in a clean room.  How?  He's Arthur.  And he has more cool tidbits to tell you in his corner (including how he plays the role of Satan in Octoberpod's 'The Satanic Rites of Doctor Frankenstein'!  Then we talk about the ghosts who make McPike Mansion their home in this spooky season episode of the Family Plot Podcast!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/family-plot--4670465/support.
