Big Idea of the Series: In this eight-week series on the book of Philippians, we will examine the source of Paul's defiant joy while he lived under house arrest in Rome. The apostle Paul was a light to the Philippians, radiating joy to a church disheartened by their mentor's imprisonment. Like Paul's letter to the church in Philippi, this series is designed to encourage the church to find joy in the midst of suffering, bringing hope to those who are hurting.Key Truth: A Christ follower's joy is based on the faithfulness of GodKey Verse: Philippians 1:19–26Summary: Paul's joy was based in the faithfulness of God. As Christ followers, we too should focus on and trust in God rather than our circumstances.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comMusic used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com

Christ's love is the driving force behind everything we do at Legacy Church. We believe that being animated by His love means we are called to serve first, just as He came not to be served but to serve. This love moves us to take the initiative to care for others, whether within our church family or the broader community. We believe authentic leadership begins with service and are committed to leading by example. By being the first to serve, we demonstrate the depth of Christ's love and create a culture where serving others is a joyful privilege, not a burden.Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/legacychurchtx/Join us in person:https://legacychurchhutto.comIntro music used with permission:Dreamers by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.com

I love Hegemony: Lead Your Class to Victory. It's an amazing economic simulation with huge ambitions. And yet, it rarely comes to the table. The reason is simple. It takes about half an hour to set up. You have to separate card decks, shuffle them, put a number of different components into different locations and do various other things before you can start playing. While Hegemony is a heavy game, it's not its complexity that is the problem. It's the effort of setting it up. That made me think about whether a critical board game review should consider this or if this is more the remit of a product review.Read the full topic discussion article here: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2025/08/12/critical-products-product-reviews-vs-critical-reviews-topic-discussion/Useful LinksStonemaier Games: https://stonemaiergames.com/Fled review: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2025/07/26/fled-saturday-review/Mystic Vale review: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2018/12/08/mystic-vale/MusicIntro Music: Bomber (Sting) by Riot (https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/)Success by Mixaund | https://mixaund.bandcamp.comMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comMusic by: BensoundLicense code: XYJHH24GPPT8BJ8GArtist: : Benjamin TissotMusic by: bensound.comLicense code: H45DI1U3YDTYLGF5Artist: : Lunar YearsMusic I Use: https://www.bensound.com/free-music-for-videosLicense code: ZX5IAGTXWISS2AEZArtist: : AventureMusic by: https://www.bensound.comLicense code: DMMTAKZV5MTBQDPIArtist: : Yunior ArronteSupportIf you want to support this podcast financially, please check out the links below:Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/TabletopGamesBlogPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/tabletopgamesblogWebsite: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/support/(Photo by Towfiqu barbhuiya on Unsplash)

We are driven by the conviction that the Gospel is meant to disrupt complacency and transform lives. We challenge both cultural norms and church traditions that hinder the full expression of Christ's love and truth. This disruptive spirit is not about being contrary for its own sake but about faithfully living out the gospel's radical message. We strive to be agents of change, willing to step outside our comfort zones, embrace the unexpected, and make bold moves for the kingdom of God.
