Donald Trump famously promised to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of returning to the White House. But he is just over 100 days into his presidency, and the war is certainly not over. With Kyiv opposed to territorial concessions, and with Russia's military campaign showing no signs of slowing down, the Trump administration has threatened to walk away from the conflict if both sides don't agree to a cease-fire and a path to peace—leaving Ukraine and its European partners planning for a future in which Russian aggression continues, but U.S. support does not. In a recent article for Foreign Affairs, Jack Watling, senior research fellow for land warfare at the Royal United Services Institute in London, argues that Europe can, in fact, replace the United States as Ukraine's primary backer. Climate change catastrophes are already happening with increasing regularity, and it's clear we need to take action. The Biden administration has set a target of zero carbon emissions in the United States by 2050. Reaching that ambitious goal will require a major transition in many sectors, including energy, agriculture, transportation, manufacturing and construction. John Podesta leads the Office of Domestic Climate Policy in the White House, and is focused on implementing the projects funded by the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest investment in clean energy the country has ever made. Beginning with contemporary efforts to reckon with the legacy of white supremacy in America, Jones returns to the fateful year when a little-known church doctrine emerged that shaped the way five centuries of European Christians would understand the “discovered” world and the people who populated it. Along the way, he shows us the connections between Emmett Till and the Spanish conquistador Hernando De Soto in the Mississippi Delta, between the lynching of three Black circus workers in Duluth and the mass execution of thirty-eight Dakota men in Mankato, and between the murder of 300 African Americans during the burning of Black Wall Street in Tulsa and the Trail of Tears. From this vantage point, Jones shows how the enslavement of Africans was not America's original sin but, rather, the continuation of acts of genocide and dispossession flowing from the first European contact with Native Americans. These deeds were justified by people who embraced the 15th century Doctrine of Discovery: the belief that God had designated all territory not inhabited or controlled by Christians as their new promised land. This reframing of American origins explains how the founders of the United States could build the philosophical framework for a democratic society on a foundation of mass racial violence—and why this paradox survives today in the form of white Christian nationalism. Through stories of people navigating these contradictions in three communities, Jones illuminates the possibility of a new American future in which we finally fulfill the promise of a pluralistic democracy. VISIT WWW.PETERNAVARRO.SUBSTACK.COM FOR THE REST OF THE STORY Bidenomics equals stagflation.  That's America's sober economic reality after more than two and half years of a Joe Biden presidency pockmarked by profligate government spending, soaring interest and mortgage rates, a precipitous loss of strategic energy dominance, a southern border invasion, a new and expensive endless war, and a rapidly expanding trade deficit. Stagflation is a “tax” crueler than inflation alone, which eats away at our purchasing power.  This is because the “stag” part of stagflation also entails recession or slow economic growth. As the 2024 presidential election approaches, Bidenomics is conjuring up the ghost of a 1970s stagflation past that ended in a landslide victory by the Republican Ronald Reagan over Democrat Jimmy Carter. In the final 1980 presidential debate, with polls surprisingly close given the grim economy, Candidate Reagan asked the American people “are you better off today than you were four years ago?”  That question – and its obvious “no” answer -- triggered a decisive break in undecided voters to the Reagan camp. Will this Reagan-Carter past be prologue to a resounding Biden defeat?  The answer to this question must begin with this observation: Biden's Democrat Party is supposed to be the party of America's working classes and wage earners.  Yet, American labor is now bearing the heaviest burden of Bidenomics.

We discuss the 1972 "Rockefeller Report on Population and the American Future," the push for green, sustainable development, the Trilateral Commission; WEF calls for one world currency, and athletes in their 20s collapsing after receiving the experimental jab (unreported by most media).
