In this episode of the Golf Gambling Podcast on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network, Boston Capper (@boston_capper) and Steve Schirmer use Keegan Bradley's victory at the Travelers Championship to shoehorn in some early Ryder Cup talk. Boston Capper is all excited about Keegan Bradley's inclusion on the squad, while Steve is nervous that his blind homer bet onto Team USA is as good as lighting money on fire. Next Steve does a quick preview of the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic, including reasons why the tournament is an annual birdie fest. Then because he'll be on hiatus after this week, Steve gives Boston Capper a crash course on Royal Liverpool, a discussion of what happened in 2014, and they play an early Elimination Game to crown a champion of the 2023 Open Championship. Well, Well, Well, The boys come in piping hot in this episode and first things first…Josh's dog has to poop. We then talk about how Drew's drinking has gotten so out of control that he is now bringing White Claws to work. Then Steve wins the love of one of Josh's sons with a belated birthday present. We really take off when the Dudes discussed a Nickelodeon Executive that has a foot fetish as well as how rad Nickelodeon was…typical topics. Next Steve breaks the news that his family has brought in a new member to their family and it's a new Dog named Cosmo and we talk about the joy of a Puppy, and well…I think that when the beer kicks in and shit goes crazy. Drew talks about getting rid of a cat and it turns out, no one likes cats. Next, we talk about Fox and his encounter with a Bat INSIDE HIS HOUSE! This is a weird animal heavy episode. Josh caught a white Rat and then things get suspenseful when Matt takes a gamble and tries to him a Tesla. The Dudes then devise a scam…or a heist and from there, we get back into animal talk. This time around, it's Rats and horses. We then break the news that Josh is now a coach to 2 children's soccer team. The Dudes then finish out the episode by reminiscing about the glory days of high school senior trips and a few other things. Anyway, as always, it is a great episode full of laughs and our typical silliness. Thank you again for listening. Please don't forget to like and subscribe. What I learned from reading Finding The Next Steve Jobs: How to Find, Keep, and Nurture Talent by Nolan Bushnell. A pong is a piece of advice designed to help enhance creativity. It applies to only where the advice is helpful. Unlike a rule which thinks itself applicable to every situation. (4:36)Cherish the pink-haired. (16:53)Hire the obnoxious: Steve Jobs believed he was always right and was willing to push harder and longer than other people who might have had equally good ideas but caved under pressure. (19:07)Expect to be criticized. Everyone said Atari was nuts. When I explained Chuck E Cheese they laughed. "The horse is here to stay, but the automobile is only a novelty - a fad." President of Michigan Savings Bank, advising Henry Ford's lawyer not to invest in Ford Motor Company, 1903 (20:23)One of the best ways to find creative people is to ask a simple question: What books do you like? (24:15)When your company establishes that anyone can and should contribute, you will end up hearing some very good suggestions coming from unlikely places. (26:03)I strongly believe that everyone who wants to be creative must find a place where their mind can be alone and untouched any the insanity of complexity. (30:20)Champion bad ideas: WD-40 is called that because the first 39 versions of the product failed. WD-40 stands for “Water Displacement, 40th formula.” (32:11)Any idiot can say no. There's no mental process there. If you don't like something, the trick is to think of something better. (37:04) Invent haphazard holidays. Unplanned days off for the entire company (38:00)Everyone who has ever taken a shower has had a good idea. The thing that matters is what you do with the idea once you get out of the shower. So if there's only one thing you take from this book, it's this: You must act! Do something! (41:29)---“I have listened to every episode released and look forward to every episode that comes out. The only criticism I would have is that after each podcast I usually want to buy the book because I am interested so my poor wallet suffers. ” — GarethBe like Gareth. In 1933, Thupten Gyatso, the 13th Dalai Lama, died at the age of 57. According to Tibetan Buddhist doctrine, the spirit of a departed Dalai Lama chooses the next body into which he will be reincarnated. So when a group of elders noticed that Gyatso's head had pivoted from facing south to facing northeast during the embalming process, they took it as an omen. A search party left Lhasa for the northeastern province of Amdo, where they found a 2-year-old boy named Lhamo Thondup.
