O encerramento da safra da tainha para a modalidade de arrasto de praia tem gerado surpresa e revolta entre pescadores artesanais de Santa Catarina. A decisão foi comunicada pelo Ministério da Pesca e Aquicultura no último domingo (7), após a cota coletiva atingir 90% do limite autorizado para a temporada de 2026. A medida, de caráter preventivo, está prevista em portaria que estabeleceu um limite máximo de captura de 8.168 toneladas para as regiões Sul e Sudeste do Brasil, volume cerca de 20% superior ao autorizado no ano passado. Mesmo assim, diversas comunidades pesqueiras afirmam que praticamente não tiveram oportunidade de capturar o pescado. Em entrevista ao programa Cruz de Malta Notícias desta terça-feira (9), a presidente da Colônia de Pesca Z-33, que representa pescadores da região de Balneário Rincão e Jaguaruna, Maria Aparecida Luciano, explicou que a cota coletiva foi definida com base em estudos técnicos voltados à preservação da espécie. No entanto, segundo ela, a distribuição das capturas ocorreu de forma desigual entre as diferentes regiões do litoral. De acordo com a presidente, o avanço de tecnologias como drones e radares aumentou significativamente a eficiência da pesca em determinados locais, possibilitando grandes capturas, especialmente na região de Florianópolis. Enquanto isso, comunidades tradicionais do Sul catarinense ficaram praticamente sem acesso ao recurso, mesmo antes do encerramento da safra. Maria Aparecida também defendeu a adoção de políticas públicas que valorizem o pescado artesanal e ofereçam melhores condições de comercialização e infraestrutura aos pescadores, fortalecendo a atividade e garantindo renda para as famílias que dependem da pesca. Além disso, ela informou que existe uma articulação para tentar o remanejamento de eventuais sobras de cotas de outras modalidades de pesca. A expectativa é que essa redistribuição permita a retomada das atividades por pescadores que ainda não conseguiram realizar suas capturas nesta temporada. Ouça a entrevista completa:
