Today as a Mindset Coach, Paul shares his story with his clients to help them rewrite their own stories to go after their true dreams and desires. Paul is helping people rewrite their stories and take control of their lives. Improving their mindset, so they can seek out things that are positive in their lives as opposed to the negative. TwoSistas on a MindsetMonday, February 27, 2023, welcome for his 5th appearance, our special guest, Paul Forchione! Paul is a Mindset / Life Coach and Owner of ACallToAction.com. Paul is the perfect guest for at any time but of course especially for MindsetMonday! [Today's podcast was also simulcasted through the Wisdom Audio App and yes, we had a slight audio glitch and no, we don't let that stop us!] Paul's story continues to evolve and inspire those around him. Paul shared with us that there are (2) very important things he has learned from his coaching business: (1) actively listening and (2) empathy. It's an art which Paul takes very seriously. It's not so much about what or how we hear but intuitively and actively listening. Paul shared in great detail the art and the how to's and how creating a safe space for someone to rewrite their story engages them to interact in a way where they feel that they are heard! Sometimes we interject too quickly because we are so eager to tell our point of view! Paul also shared some amazing strategies! We chatted also about the internal dialogue and conversations that we have with ourselves in our mind on a daily basis and unfortunately, some of them are very negative. The thing is that as Paul mentioned, we would never think to talk to someone else with such negativity yet we do that with ourselves! Sometimes it's the negativity that we focus on too much; for instance, Janis shared that sometimes her negativity is fear based. She shared that she wanted to do a “live” on her personal Facebook page and for about (5) minutes she was having a negative internal dialogue - finally, she had the courage and just did it anyway! Paul also shared the backdrop of his story. He was born with cerebral palsy and it was so severe that the doctors told his Mom that he would never be able to walk. Thank goodness for a wonderful Mom and a great mindset that wasn't his destiny. He was able to overcome it and is now able to live a very active life, however it wasn't easy to get to at that point. Paul continues to share his story with his clients to help them overcome obstacles in their lives and to also coach them to rewrite their stories! We continue to be amazed at Paul's story and his vulnerability and how he helps others do the same! To learn more about Paul and his services and to connect with him further, please check out his website and his very supportive and interactive Facebook Group: https://acalltoaction.coach https://www.facebook.com/groups/keepyourpen Question of the Day: How will you rewrite your story? Thank you Paul - we can't wait to have you back on the TwoSistas podcast! Let us know what you thought of today's MindsetMonday episode. Are you living your life how you want or how someone else thinks you should? Who is writing your story? Paul Forchione, life coach and motivational speaker, shares how he was able to perservere and overcome what others felt was going to be his story. Paul was born with a disorder called Cerebral Palsy. Paul could have chose to give into what he was being told his story would be or he could choose to own his story and rewrite the narrative. He used goals as a way to help him keep focused and to tune out the noise others were telling him his life was going to be. Welcome to the 63rd episode of the Give a Heck Podcast! Join Dwight Heck and his guest, Paul Forchione, as they talk about how to quit letting others write your own stories. Paul is a mindset coach who helps his clients rewrite their stories and take control of their lives. He constantly asks the question, "how do I expect people to be vulnerable with me if I'm not vulnerable with them?" Paul believes it's important to have courage and take leaps of faith to gain confidence and learn how to open up yourself. Having those is also key to helping other people be brave when writing and sharing their own stories. In this episode, Paul speaks about how he didn't let other people write his story and how he turned his weaknesses and vulnerability into strength. In this episode, you'll learn: · Setting up your goal and not letting your weaknesses define you · Being vulnerable and accepting will help you gain confidence · Honour your commitments! · Do not dwell on problems; continue moving forward, take a step, and do not look back! · Continue developing and doing other things until such time that you reach the level you aim for · And much more! ~ About Paul Forchione: Paul was born with cerebral palsy, and it was so severe that the doctors told his mom that he would never be able to walk. Thank goodness for a wonderful mom and a great mindset; he was able to overcome it and is now able to live a very active life. It wasn't easy, however, to get to that point. Today as a Mindset Coach, Paul shares his story with his clients to help them rewrite their own stories to go after their true dreams and desires. Helping people rewrite their stories and take control of their lives. Improving their mindset, so they can seek out things that are positive in their lives as opposed to the negative. Working with people to improve their self-esteem and eliminate limited belief. If you have belief in yourself, the sky is the limit to your potential. Paul and his group offer additional support on the Facebook group Rewrite Your Story. Today's conversation with Coach and Speaker, Paul Forchione is not only inspiring, it will make you smile. Paul's story is one of triumph despite what doctors told his mother at his birth. Even though he had severe Cerebral Palsy his mother didn't accept the diagnosis of 'never walking' as final. Instead she sought out several opinions and the result is that Paul does walk and has written his own life story. He created "A Call to Action" to help others claim their own story too. Reach out to him and share his message with others so we can all learn how to claim our worth no matter what circumstances we are born into. Episode 33: Paul Forchione's Story of Living With Cerebral Palsy In this episode, Paul Forchione shares his story of living with Cerebral Palsy. He was diagbnosed with CP at 2-3 months old. The CP affects mostly his right side. He started physical therapy on a daily basis, which allowed him to learn to walk. Surgery on the tendon on the right side of his foot also helped improve his mobility. His increased mobility after this surgery helped him feel like he was able to fit in with his peers better. He experienced discrimination by peers in middle school. He also experienced discrimination from the principal after performing poorly on one test. After that, he decided to set a goal for himself to make the varsity baseball team in high school. This goal helped give him more confidence, and the kids in his school started treating him more kindly. This goal was so successful that he set another goal of getting into college and he then raised his GPA high enough to go to a 4-year university and graduate from college. For a long time, he didn't want to disclose to people about his CP. It upset him greatly. Eventually, he realized the benefit of vulnerability and began to disclose about his condition. He copes by setting goals for himself and changing his mindset. For maintenance of his condition, he continues to exercise his body. Paul Forchione was born with Cerebral Palsy and shocked all the professionals who wrongly predicted he would never walk or be able to pursue higher education.
Paul Forchione was born with Cerebral Palsy so severe that the doctors predicted that he would never be able to walk. Through intense physical therapy he was able to walk but then experienced bullying in school. In hopes of distracting himself, Paul set a huge goal of making the varsity baseball team. He focused on his goal and put in the work and people started to notice. Kids started to cheer him on and he built meaningful relationships. Paul shares with us how he was able to shift from a powerless mentality with being picked on in school for being different, to one that made him get noticed for his hard work and dedication. My next guest was referred by a previous guest for his life changing story and mindset. Paul Forchione was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as an infant and spent many of his formative years in intense physical therapy whilst trying to fit in. Through his life experience Paul discovered his best way to serve the world was to help others shift their mindset and achieve their goals in life. Paul encourages people to rewrite their story and take control of their life instead of accepting the supposed fate dealt to you. And as what usually happens in these discussions, I found that Paul and I had so much in common on so many levels. I hope you enjoy this open and thought provoking chat with Paul. Despite all of the challenges put before him, he had the perseverance and mindset to overcome it all. We can all agree that the world outside right now is a dumpster fire, and many are directly affected by this. On the other hand, there are many who are using these unprecedented times as an excuse not to take an initiative to better themselves. Ever heard the saying that, you are what you think. Absolutely! Whatever results you hope to see in your life begins from your mindset. However, when your mindset is positive, then, you can expect to see positve outcomes. On the flip side, negative outcomes become obvious when you have a faulty or negatively negative mindset. It all begins from within. The realization that you can control what happens to you by maintaining the right mind can change everything about you. Of course, it doesn't mean everything will go the way you want. However, you can always weather the storm by maintaining a positive outlook at all times. Omobola Stephen will be having a discussion on this topic with Paul Forchione,a mindset coach. Listen up.
Mindset coach Paul Forchione shares that the best ways to get to the other side of a life-shattering experience are to practice gratitude, to focus on what you can do instead of what you can't, and to do what you're passionate about. He learned these lessons after being diagnosed with cerebral palsy and experiencing teasing, bullying, and shame on a daily basis during his younger years. Welcome! In this episode of Level Up! With Shay, Paul Forchione joins me to talk ALL about becoming a better version of yourself! He is a coach for your mindset, career, life, anything to make you level up in life. He had cerebral palsy as an infant and due to the fact that his mother would not take “no” for an answer in terms of him being able to walk, he went through intense physical therapy and starting walking at the age of three. He later went on to play soccer at five and baseball starting in middle school to make his high school varsity team his junior and senior year. After going to college and not knowing what he wanted to do with his life, a friend offered him a job as a mortgage officer and he, again, found success in that industry. After a motivational speaker came to talk to the staff at his company, Paul was inspired to be a coach himself. He eventually left his mortgage position to pursue a career in coaching. He shares his story of growing up with a disability to show people that they can do anything they want to. I love our conversation because they include the lessons everyone needs to hear (and has probably heard) but through the lens of Paul's life. Hope you enjoy! Mindset coach Paul Forchione discusses his life's journey and how it brought him to his chosen calling. Note: His last name is not pronounced as it looks.
Motivational Coach Paul Forchione stopped by to talk about his journey and how overcoming the obstacles he faced with cerebral palsy lead him to start his own motivational coaching practice. Marc and Paul talked at length about the similarities of their journeys and how they overcame the obstacles in front of them. They also talk about the drive and determination it took for them to succeed in life and the challenge of looking forward rather than dwelling on the past.
