It's said that the two sides of your brain power different ways of thinking. People who are right-brain dominant are said to be more creative. Those who are left-brain-dominant are labeled as more analytical. Is it true? Let's tap into the mind of psychologist Grace Tworek for the answer.
We hear all of the time that we are either left or right brain thinkers, which one are you? If you're like me, you're very analytical and logical, but it's so important that we learn how to connect with our more creative side. Today's podcast episode with Juanita Molano Parra is teaching us how she unlocks her right brain as a left brain thinker. I've known Juanita since my time in the Peace Corps and I've seen her grow her coaching business from day one. We have a beautiful conversation about her journey and shifting from a life on the measuring stick to transitioning to a life and leadership coach. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did having it! Visit this episode's show notes page here. - The Prosperous Empath Podcast is produced by Heart Centered Podcasting.

Too often churches focus on right thoughts and right willing. The problem is this is way too LEFT- instead of RIGHT-Brained. Too often our discipleship isn't fast enough to catch up with the speed of life. But I Right-Brains work at the speed of life, and that is where lasting discipleship needs to happen. Harvard psychiatrist Dr. Kevin Majeres gives a tour of the brain, including what it really means to be "right brained" or "left brained" and how we can channel both to be the best - and holiest - version of ourselves.

Two people are preparing for their first face-to-face networking event post-lockdown. They ask themselves very different questions:Person A:What's the best route to the venue? What are the parking arrangements?Looking at the delegate list, who might be a good contact for me?Can I leave early to get to my next meeting? Is there wi-fi?Person B:Is this the right type of event for me?Am I approaching these events with the right attitude? Is F2F networking the best strategy for promoting my business?Perhaps it's an oversimplification but it looks like Person A might be a left-brained thinker and Person B a right-brainer. One values detail, the other looks at the big picture. In this episode Andrew explores the differences between the two hemispheres of the brain and the implications this can have for the way we communicate and build relationships. Andrew sees himself as a right-brained thinker in a left-brained world, a scenario described by psychiatrist Iain McGilchrist whose work is referenced in this episode. INTRO POETRY: Buenas Noches you marvelous scums, you beautiful bastards, blind, deaf, and dumb. Blind to the red flags, deaf to the truth, unwilling to speak up for our meek and our youth. The Commies have won, subverting generations, infiltrating Big Tech, product placing Game Stations, Facebook ads, Hollyweird, the entire educational system. What are we gonna do to fight against it? What can I do to make it hurt when I hits them? Perhaps I’ll grab a mic, and a laptop, and a pen, and a pair of headphones, like a Tommy gun, this is a fight til the end. Welcome to the latest episode, we live by a code in this struggle, regardless of their mission to tighten our muzzles. We don’t need a vaccine to see bullshit, we are already immune. It’s Mr. Garrison and Mr. Pickles on tonight’s LIVE stream. Sounding like characters in a cartoon! — How fitting! Welcome to Bobby Pickles’ Podcast™️!

The greatest gift you can give yourself! Understanding how you are wired can lead to a more joy filled life. Or at least, help you understand some of the challenges you have faced during your spin on this planet. The Visual-Auditory-Kinesthetic (VAK) learning styles model provides a simple way to explain and understand learning styles. The VAK learning Style uses the three main sensory modalities (Vision, Auditory, and Kinesthetic) to determine a person's dominate or preferred learning (and memory) style. In addition, there are Concrete/Analytic ("Left-Brained") and Artistic/Abstract ("Right-Brained") ways our brains process information for memory retrieval later. Also, most of us filter the world chronologically. Past, Present and Future processing is our mind's way of understanding the world around us. Dr. Fred Clary, founder of Functional Analysis Chiropractic Technique and lifting/life coach/ gym-chalk covered philosopher opens a conversation on understanding your own information processing tendencies and learning styles.

Pop psychology tells us we're all either left brain or right brain dominant, a concept with no scientific support.
Author Dan Pink, talks about the ideas in his book, A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future. He argues that the skills of the right side of the brain--skills such as creativity, empathy, contextual thinking and big picture thinking--are going to become increasingly important as a response to competition from low-wage workers overseas and our growing standard of living.
