In this episode, he's done it. The mad man has actually done it. I can't take it. TWO WEEKS IN A ROW. Rem isn't the only one suffering here. #SaveTheEditor I am a broken man. In this episode: Shaun goes right back to tormenting Remington in hopes of breaking him and convincing him to join the Discord. This week, Shaun whips out his weeb-gun and takes aim with 2014's vapid power-fantasy that doesn't understand video games: Sword Art Online II. Meanwhile, Remington wishes for virtual death as he rips asunder the sexist ideals portrayed by the white-knight conundrum with his massive scholng. Will Remington finally relent? Will Shaun realize the error of his ways and take it easy on his old friend? What kind of stupid name is Death Gun? Find out this week on Anime out of Context! In our longest episode yet we discuss Akame ga Kill and the usual news before diving into our SAO send-off. We share our thoughts on the emotional finale of Sword Art Online II with ADR director/script writer Alex von David and read your comments and questions. Alex explains that some the BS in SAOII is actually factual and discusses his experience scripting and directing the actors. The very lengthy conversation deviates often and leads to discussing a theoretical spin-off series with Klein and Sinon, Alex giving Twitter advice to Kirk Thorton, how stupid it is for Kirito to build a device to bring his digital daughter into the real world, how Grave of the Fire Flies is the greatest movie we never want to see again, how Master of the Martial Hearts is absolutely terrible and various other topics. Alex also suggests we give Darrell an intervention and the f-word is uttered. We start off the episode with some recent news regarding Toonami Asia, Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball and a series that was just announced for Toonami at Anime Expo. We continue on to our show recaps in which we debate our opinions on story developments in KILL la KILL and Sword Art Online. Not surprisingly this leads to a lengthy conversation about KILL la KILL and an epically long debate for this particular episode of Sword Art Online II. Lastly we read a few listener emails and Colt is back to spice things up with his unique commentary. We are joined by friend of the podcast: Ryan West to discuss how many episodes we give a show before dropping it. Before that we share your feedback on Michiko & Hatchin's first episode and continue our KILL la KILL and Sword Art Online II recaps. We also read some listener mail for good measure. Pay no mind to Sketch's occasional disappearing act. We actually managed to have six people on the show this week. We also share our predictions for Toonami's Momocon announcements and ask the callers what they expect as well. There's no recaps this week because the premieres of KILL la KILL, Sword Art Online II and InuYasha: The Final Act were pre-empted for the Memorial Day weekend KILL la KILL rerun marathon. Your hosts this episode include Sketch, Paul, Darrell, Jim and Jenn. Thank you for getting us all the way to 150 episodes, we couldn't possibly have done this without you our faithful listeners. Sketch, Paul and Jim have a chat with life-long actor Ben Diskin. We discuss his career starting from childhood touching his roles on several series such as Codename: Kids Next Door, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Blood+, Digimon and of course his recent role of Death Gun on Sword Art Online II. Ben's a true Toonami faithful who grew up on Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Outlaw Star, Gundam and the like and he straight up murdered us with some of his responses. So be warned, you might die laughing but there's far worse ways to go.
Allison is back by popular demand and Fabian is back because he escaped from Darrell's basement. We discuss the adorably crazy Nui on KILL la KILL, the way Kirito has to come clean to to Sinon on Sword Art Online II and how Kohaku and Naraku just wont die on InuYasha. At the last minute we recorded a segment regarding new Dragon Ball anime series starting this July in Japan. Duelist pops in on that segment. The audio does some strange things in this episode because of lag and the call getting out of sync. Sorry about that but we did the best we could with what we had. Also Fabian doesn't like bacon, shun him accordingly. 0:00 - Internduction 3:03 - KILL la KILL Recap 13:20 - Sword Art Online II Recap 31:45 - Toonami News (39:35 insert OH THE IRONY) 45:39 - InuYasha: The Final Act Recap 53:10 - This Week on Toonami 58:30 - BREAKING NEWS - KLK Marathon on Memorial Day Weekend and Dragon Ball Super Anime Announcement 1:23:15 - Sign-Off Music Credits: “Before My Body is Dry” by Mika Kobayashi “Kimi ga Inai Mirai” by Do as Infinity “Ignite” by Eir Aoi “Hammer” by Pelican City DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions of the participants of this podcast are not the views of ToonamiFaithful.Com or it’s affiliates, nor are they the views of Toonami, [adult swim], Williams Street, Turner or any other Time Warner property. We discuss the conclusion of Ryuko's battle with Nonon Jakuzure and the sudden reveal of who killed Ryuko's father. Then we are thoroughly amused at Kirito's situation in Sword Art Online II. Then after a news break we discuss the latest InuYasha and the other programming that aired on Toonami this week. For our topical discussion we contemplate whether Toonami actually needs more hours on Saturday night or if the block should stay roughly how it is and we cap off this episode with a handful of listener mails. 00:00 - Intro 01:30 - KILL la KILL Recap 12:11 - Sword Art Online II Recap 24:00 - Toonami News 32:36 - InuYasha: The Final Act Recap 42:21 - This Week on Toonami 48:19 - TOPIC: Does Toonami Actually Need More Hours on Saturday Night? 1:09:46 - Listener Mail 1:22:20 - Sign-Off Music Credits: “Before My Body is Dry” by Mika Kobayashi “Kimi ga Inai Mirai” by Do as Infinity “Ignite” by Eir Aoi "Dude Looks Like a Lady" by Aerosmith DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions of the participants of this podcast are not the views of ToonamiFaithful.Com or it’s affiliates, nor are they the views of Toonami, [adult swim], Williams Street, Turner or any other Time Warner property. Fall 2014 seen the conclusion of several key series that we can’t ignore. Akame ga Kill, Mushishi The Second Passage, and Sword Art Online II. In this Animecast, we review these shows and give our in-depth analysis on why you should or shouldn’t watch them. Due to Sword Art Online’s nature, we put it as our final show to review for those who are very sensitive to spoilers regarding the conclusion of Sword Art Online Season 1. Though there really isn’t much to spoil, characters’ fates could be seen as spoilers.

IT’S EPISODE 8 guys!! My lord so close to double figures, because apparently double figures hold high significance! Ahh seasons changed and it’s already November, don’t know about you but it’s also much colder as well. So let’s see…..oh yeah the Ani-Tay podcast episode 8 features the amazing mdubs! Who’s written a lovely little piece here about cliché love story, give it a read it’s worth your time. As usual it’s your reoccurring cast of Me (FruityDrinks), Richard, David (dexomega) and Kevin (rockmandash12) making our scheduled appearance as well. Also thank Richard for our episode title. This episode we discussed some fun shows that are airing this season to freshen things up and keep up with the new change of the season, while closing off a major arc in Sword Art Online II. Sword Art Online II (Gun Gale Arc, I always read that as Gun Gal) Parasyte The Lord Marksman and Vanadis Trinity Seven Your Lie in April Now I’m sure we’ve all had our own opinion on certain anime. Saying various things on why it’s amazing, or why it’s horribly bad. We thought instead of that tried and true method (that and we did it in the earlier segment in the episode). We’ve decided to be proactive about our criticism and dipped our toes in the realm of fan fiction. (Hardly) We all picked separate shows and thought about ways on how to improve them, with certain changes to the plot or characters, maybe a new spin on an arc? With that in mind normally I do the second segment as an open topic but sadly things imploded all over my face and nothing went to plan, so instead you can post them here, but only after hearing our quick fix to make any anime amazing. At least you’ll understand why. Here’s the chapters thanks to David Intro: 00:00:00 - 00:05:01 Sword Art Online 2: 00:05:02 - 00:26:55 Parasyte: 00:26:56 - 00:38:08 The Lord Marksman and Vanadis: 00:38:09 - 00:51:17 Trinity Seven: 00:51:18 - 00:57:35 Your Lie In April: 00:57:36 - 01:08:43 End of Segment One: 01:08:43 - 01:13:34 Richard Signs off for the Night: 01:13:35 - 01:14:21 Segment 2 Intro: 01:14:22 - 01:14:44 Kevin’s (Rokujouma): 01:14:45 - 01:19:03 David’s (Nisekoi): 01:19:03 - 01:22:14 Matt (Golden Time): 01:22:15 - 01:27:12 Ken (Golden Time): 01:27:13 - 01:33:05 End of Segment 2: 01:33:06 - 01:36:20 Bonus Segment: Supporting the Industry: 01:36:21 - 01:46:10 Nozaki-kun and Sign-off: 01:46:11 - END
