“The Holy Grail will save you.” After finishing up The Garden of Sinners last week, we are taking our first steps into the larger world of Fate/stay night, the most iconic of Kinoko Nasu and Type-Moon's creations, with Fate/Zero, the prequel anime based on the light novel series by Gen Urobuchi. On today's episode, Sean gives us an in-depth introduction to the original Fate/stay night visual novel, all the ways it's been adapted over the years, and tells us how Fate/Zero came about and where it fits into things. This week the class visits an alternate universe with bubbles raining down upon the world that simply just breaks the laws of gravity. With "Bubble" being Netflix's latest installment of anime movies, the class wanted to tune in and see the hype around this visually stunning work of art. "Bubble" is directed by Tetsuro Araki, director of the first seasons of Attack on Titan, from a script by Psycho-Pass and Fate/Zero writer Gen Urobuchi, character designs by Death Note co-creator Takeshi Obata, and contains a theme song from popular singer Eve. Expelled from Paradise (Japanese: 楽園追放 Hepburn: Rakuen Tsuihō?) is a Japanese animated science fiction film. The film is directed by Seiji Mizushima, with a screenplay written by Gen Urobuchi, produced by Toei Animation and animated by Graphinica, and distributed by T-Joy in cooperation with Toei Company. The film had its first public showing in Europe at the Swedish anime-convention ConFusion on December 11, 2014. Seiji Mizushima attended the event himself, partaking in a stage-show, Q&A and other activities.
