“We tend to view our truth like it's a destination—but it's a devotion. It's a daily choice to wake up and embody it, even when it's hard.”In this powerful and thought-provoking conversation, I sit down with spiritual mentor and multidimensional healer Jennifer Spor to unpack the real meaning of authenticity—beyond buzzwords and spiritual fluff.Jennifer shares how her own journey of healing mother and sisterhood wounds, reclaiming her power, and walking away from manipulative coaching dynamics shaped the way she now lives and leads. Together, we explore why so many women drop their power in certain relationships, how to know if a mentor is truly aligned with your soul, and how to sharpen your intuition so you don't fall into ego-driven traps disguised as “opportunities.”This episode is a reclamation—a deep dive into what it looks like to live your truth, even when it's inconvenient, triggering, or wildly unpopular. We talk about the traps of perfectionism, fear-based leadership, and how to lead yourself with radical integrity in business, relationships, and everyday life.If you've been questioning your path, navigating a season of awakening, or trying to find your footing after giving your power away to someone who didn't deserve it—this conversation will feel like both a mirror and a lighthouse.TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS(00:00) Intro(01:36) In today's episode... Send us a textA Prayer for Healing – Restoration for Body, Mind & SpiritHealing begins with acknowledgment—and this powerful prayer meditation invites you into sacred space to receive God's restoration in your body, mind, and soul.Drawing inspiration from the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, “I will restore to you health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord,” this heartfelt episode meets you in the midst of your weariness, exhaustion, and pain. Whether you're carrying physical sickness, emotional scars from past trauma, or spiritual dryness that feels beyond repair, this prayer opens a path toward wholeness. What sets this meditation apart is its comprehensive approach to healing. It doesn't compartmentalize your needs—it recognizes that real restoration must encompass every part of you. It speaks healing over your body, calm over your mind, comfort to your heart, and renewal in your spirit. You are not just one-dimensional to God—He sees and tends to the full picture of your pain.In this moment of prayer, you'll be gently guided to release the weight you've been carrying and surrender to God's perfect timing. One of the most moving declarations is this:“I trust You in all timing, even when I don't understand.”This prayer doesn't promise instant miracles, but it leads you to a place of deep faith, surrender, and hope. It acknowledges that healing often comes in layers, and sometimes through unexpected means. But it always begins with turning to the Healer Himself—Jehovah Rapha.By invoking God's covenant names—Jehovah Jireh (The Provider) and Jehovah Rapha (The Healer)—this prayer anchors your healing not in human effort, but in the unchanging nature of God. It's a prayer of both dependence and expectancy, of honest lament and courageous belief.Whether you're facing a health battle, emotional fatigue, relationship pain, or spiritual dryness, let these words wash over you like healing rain. And if you know someone who is struggling in silence, share this episode as a gift of hope. It might be the breakthrough they've been waiting for.
Does the brain emit light (and might this explain the auras some people see)? Will psychedelic healing centers become the new frontier in healthcare? And can you use a hypnotic technique to tap into the most confident, competent, and skilled version of yourself? In this episode, psychologist Traci Stein summarizes intriguing news items and discusses the life and work of Burt Goldman, a man who pioneered “Quantum Jumping.” Burt created a technique he believed could enable each of us to access a parallel universe version of ourself - one who already possesses the expertise, knowledge and other attributes we most desire. Burt used this hypnotic meditation method to become a successful writer, photographer, painter, singer, and much more (even in his 80s). Traci Stein outlines Burt's technique and ponders whether it can help you, too, to access your most skillful and fulfilled self.(Please note: 1. By his wounds. His wounds are the source of healing. Our wounds are the wounds that are healed by his wounds. Our wounds may even become the source of healing for others because we have been healed by his wounds. What an unimaginable mystery. Wounds heal. Healing from wounds. Have we considered the magnificence or the near-unbelievability of this reality?Let's put that question another way: “By what means may I understand and experience Christ's wounds not just in juridical terms, as the providential means by which God chose to ‘take away' sin, but as the living source of a remedy by which sin is cured and humanity's wounds, my wounds, are healed?” By what means may I understand and experience that? Indeed, that is the central question in the book my guest today has authored. The book is Healing Wounds, and the author is Bishop Erik Varden, a Cistercian monk who is bishop of Trondheim, Norway. In addition to Healing Wounds, Bishop Varden is author of other works like Chastity: Reconciliation of the Senses and The Shattering of Loneliness: On Christian Remembrance. Award-winning filmmaker Marty Stalker shares his deeply personal journey of serving as a Section Commander in the British Royal Marine Commandos during operational theaters of war in Iraq and Afganistan and his struggles after returning home. When conventional treatments were insufficient to alleviate the post-traumatic stress that plagued him, Marty found relief via a variety of “plant medicines.” In this episode, Marty describes his experiences and speaks candidly about the heavy substance use, suicidality, and other mental health issues that many veterans struggle with after returning home from tours of duty. For more on Marty Stalker, visit: https://martystalker.com/On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MartyStalkerIf you live in the US and are a veteran or loved one struggling with mental health challenges, below are potential resources for support:Veterans Crisis Line: https://www.veteranscrisisline.net/get-help-now/chat/US Dept. of Veterans Affairs: https://mentalhealth.va.gov/NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Resources for Veterans and Active Duty Service Members and the Families: https://www.nami.org/your-journey/veterans-active-duty/

Story at-a-glance Keloids are an extreme overreaction of the body's wound healing process, causing thick, raised scars that continue to grow beyond the original injury, leading to pain, itching, and discomfort A study published in Burns & Trauma journal found that keloid cells overproduce CYP24A1, an enzyme that rapidly breaks down vitamin D, preventing it from regulating scar formation and inflammation Researchers discovered that inhibiting CYP24A1 allowed vitamin D to remain active longer, reducing excessive collagen buildup and helping keloid tissue behave more like normal skin Even individuals with sufficient vitamin D levels in their bloodstream could still have a functional deficiency in their skin due to rapid breakdown by CYP24A1, which explains why standard supplementation has not been effective for keloid treatment Another recent study found that vitamin D supplementation significantly improved wound healing, increasing skin hydration while reducing trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), which strengthened the skin barrier and sped up recovery
What do we actually mean when we say that by Christ's wounds, we are healed? Tim Hutchinson recommends 'Healing Wounds', by Erik Varden, the Bloomsbury 2025 Lenten Read.

The question of suffering has always been something with which people have wrestled. In his 2025 Lent book, Healing Wounds, Erik Varden attempts to offer new reflections on this most challenging of themes. Reflecting on the cross, on Jesus' own suffering as well as on our own sufferings, he draws out the ways in which Jesus' suffering on the cross can turn into sources of healing for ourselves and for others. In this online conversation, Erik Varden and Paula Gooder draw on these and other themes. Erik Varden is Bishop of Trondheim in Norway and a Cistercian monk.

These wounds created a deep fear in him, and he always tried to hide from new environments.Through God, Rob found his soul healed. Today, he has the strength to fearlessly travel the world to spread God's healing.Reagan Kramer reflects on how many people can relate to childhood experiences that impact their soul and how they may not realize it.Rob explains that the soul is synonymous with the Old Testament concept of the heart. It is the center of human operations. Many people do not give enough importance to the idea of the soul, and Reagan thinks it is used too flippantly in the modern day.[6:35] Starting the Soul Care MovementRob Reimer started the soul care movement after planting a church in Boston. He experienced a marriage crisis that led him to realize the need for personal change rather than focusing on the other person's issues. But Rob was able to overcome this crisis through his faith. He received principles to live by from God, and applied them to his life.Today, he feels confident enough to pass on these principles to help others, leading to the development of his book and ministry.[8:30] Narcissism and Self-CenterednessEveryone has a bias towards self. That self-centeredness is a result of sin. But focusing on oneself leads to misery, while focusing on Jesus and others brings peace.Rob describes a powerful idea: the biblical concept of dying to self as essential for experiencing abundant life in Christ.Dying to self involves overcoming self-centeredness, self-protection, and self-reliance. Reagan Kramer herself has found that this concept helped her in her spiritual journey.Without dying to self, Christ cannot be formed in a person, and they remain bound by their sinful nature.[13:05] Repentance, Brokenness, and Soul CareDr. Rob explains the first step, identity, and its importance in Christian life. True identity is found in Christ, who makes us part of His family. The second step, repentance, heals the soul and places us in God's presence.Repentance is part of the good news of Jesus and essential for living in His light. Rob points out the Western value of tolerance with the biblical concept of sin and repentance.People are more open to discussing their brokenness and dysfunction than their sinfulness.Reagan Kramer agrees, noting that many people are desperate for healing and open to solutions, even if they don't understand the theological aspects.[26:11] Breaking Family Sin PatternsThere exist patterns of sin in families that we must break. This unaddressed sin can have a devastating impact on future generations.Rob uses the example of Abraham's family sin pattern of favoritism and how it continued through his descendants.Breaking free from sinful patterns and living a holy life is a noble and honorable goal that emphasizes soul care.Furthermore, addressing these family sin patterns requires profound trust and honesty. The healing process will come by being open to each other.[32:01] Forgiveness and Overcoming FearForgiveness is difficult because we are afraid. Fear prevents us from accessing forgiveness. However, Rob emphasizes the importance of forgiving those who sin against us to allow God's healing and peace to flow in our lives.Rob shares his personal experience of forgiving a man who spread lies about him, demonstrating the power of obedience to Jesus' commands.Forgiveness and overcoming fear are essential for living a life free from anxiety and the bondage of sin.[49:42] Healing Wounds and DeliveranceMoving forward in freedom is easier if we begin by healing wounds from the past. Unresolved anger and pain create barriers to God's healing and must be addressed.God's deliverance lets us cast out demonic spirits that cause torment and bondage in our souls. These wounds or indwelling demons might even be the result of generational curses that went unresolved.Reagan Kramer shares her personal experience of hearing demonic manifestations and the importance of the Church in setting people free.About Rob ReimerDr. Rob Reimer is the founder and president of Renewal International, a ministry dedicated to equipping believers, pastors, and leaders worldwide to experience spiritual renewal and live in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. In this heartfelt episode of Father and Joe, Joe Rockey and Father Boniface Hicks explore the deep-rooted issues of trust, control, and healing. Through an insightful conversation, they uncover how past wounds, fear, and betrayal shape our present lives, impacting everything from relationships to business leadership. Joe opens up about his experiences as a consultant, where he helps business owners learn to delegate and trust others. The challenge many face, however, is letting go of control and learning to trust after being hurt.Father Boniface reflects on how our need to control, whether in business or personal relationships, often stems from past pain and disappointment. "If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together," he shares, illustrating the importance of collaboration and trust. He emphasizes that it's essential to look inward and explore the reasons we struggle with these control issues: “We don't trust unless we have a reason for it…often an experience of betrayal or disappointment."In this episode, we are reminded that healing begins with understanding and nurturing our hearts. By revisiting past experiences and facing them with compassion, we can break the cycle of fear and control. Joe describes a practice of "quietly entering your mind and witnessing memories without judgment." This gentle process, as discussed, can lead to significant personal growth: "It's remarkable how the Google search of past hurts in your mind starts to shrink."Father Boniface offers wisdom on how to approach this healing process, encouraging listeners to engage with trusted friends or spiritual counselors when needed. The journey of healing and trust is not one to walk alone—God is there with us every step of the way. "God has a vested interest in you," Father Boniface reminds us, underscoring the importance of relying on God's love to heal our deepest wounds.By the end of this episode, you'll gain profound insights into:How to recognize the root causes of control and trust issues.Practical steps to begin healing emotional wounds from the past. The importance of letting others into our lives and learning to trust again. As you listen to Father Boniface and Joe's conversation, consider this gentle invitation: Where in your life are things not working, and what steps can you take toward healing? Whether it's in your personal relationships, parenting, or business life, God invites you to start the process of letting go, trusting others, and finding peace.Tune in and discover how faith and reflection can lead you to greater healing and wholeness! Please subscribe, share, and leave a review if you found this episode meaningful.Tags:spiritual healing, trust in God, overcoming control, Father Boniface Hicks, Joe Rockey, emotional healing, faith journey, letting go, healing trauma, trust issues, business leadership, personal growth, Christian reflection, self-improvement, dealing with betrayal, Catholic spirituality, prayer for healing, Christian counseling, dealing with fear, trusting others, overcoming fear, how to heal emotionally, faith in difficult times, Father and Joe, healing from the past, control issues, inner healing, parenting with faith, God's guidance, dealing with disappointment, spiritual growth, relationships and trust, delegation in business
Humanity was created to live from and for the very goodness of God. God's very goodness isn't the quality or ability of an individual part; God's very goodness refers to the completeness and wellness of the whole. We were created to live from and for relational wholeness and wellness — the very goodness of God.
All too often wounds of the heart atrophy our response to the Shepherd of our souls, causing us to miss the Provision, Protection, and Prosperity our Abba longs to supply. There are rituals and routines, sacred rhythms if you will, that are intended to align us with the rhythm of heaven so that our cadence and movement flow with and follow that of the Spirit, the One in Whom we live, move and have our being. As we journey through the 23rd Psalm with an eye on the Good Shepherd, may we encounter the deep healing that comes as we rest the weight of our lives on the Lover of our Soul.
There are times, when God allows moments that bring us to the end of ourselves; times when we face odds and obstacles that we have no way of overcoming; times when we face enemies and assailants that have every intent on destroying us; times when we see our families, friends, and resources under attack with no way of rescue or relief. But those can be the very moments, when God is healing our hearts. Those can be the very moments when we are learning to trust again. Some heart wounds persist, because we refuse to trust God again and again.

Heart wounds are places of unprocessed pain, hurt and hardship affecting the way we see, feel, believe and behave. Some heart wounds go undetected because they're caused by shared, socially acceptable and normalized events. There is a dimension of our heart healing and wholeness that only comes when we accept and embrace, It All Belongs to Him.
There are times when heart wounds — places of unprocessed pain, hurt and hardship effecting the way we see, feel, believe and ultimately behave — are caused by despair and disappointment over what God did or didn't do. But God never intended on meeting our deepest needs with what could be found in this world. His plan has always been to give us a peace unlike anything in this world. Scripture(s): • John 14:25-28 Slide(s):The vision of wholeness, which is the supreme will of the biblical God, is the outgrowth of a covenant of shalom. Where persons are not only bound to God but to one another in a caring, sharing, rejoicing community with nothing to make them afraid. — Walter Bruggemann, PeaceGod created the world in a web of relationships that overflowed with forceful goodness. These relationships are far reaching: between humanity and God, between humanity and self, between genders, between humanity and the rest of creation, within families, between ethnic groups, and between nations. These relationships were “very good” in the beginning. — Lisa Harper, The Very Good Gospel9.22.2024 Message Takeaways Some of our deepest hurts are tied to our deepest disappointments. We were created for a peace that can't be found in this world. We've been restored and we are a part of His restoration plan.
Grief is a strange thing. One minute your happy and the next grieving someone special in your life. Grief can cause us to feel or do weird things.

When our hearts (soul and spirit) are wounded it hinders and corrupts our thoughts actions and motives. Oftentimes, what we describe as, “the way God made us”, is more accurately described as the way life has wounded us. But there is healing for our wounded hearts. God wants us to be made whole. God wants us to learn to live whole. Scripture(s): • Matthew 25:24-30 • Philippians 2:12, 13 • Proverbs 4:23
Kevin BrownSep 5, 2024, 6:30 PM (4 days ago)to Christopher, Deborah, Joy, Michael, Jill, Lee, meIntroduction:We live from the heart. It's the innermost part of our being. We may think with our minds and act from our physical bodies, but we live from the heart. When our hearts are whole, healthy and pure we think and act as powerfully as we were designed. But when the heart is wounded, weighted down and broken it hinders and even corrupts our thoughts and actions. Oftentimes, what we describe as, “the way God made us”, would be more accurately described as the way life has wounded or broken us. But there is healing for our wounded and even broken hearts. God hasn't given us all the same gifts but God has the same expectation for us all.2. We're concerned about what we experience but Jesus is more concerned about what we conclude.3. Disconnecting from our feelings is not an act of faith; it's an act of avoidance.

This horoscope is for the new moon in Leo, which happens on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 7:13 a.m. ET.Book a reading with me on my website at etherealastrology.com/readings.We are now trying to do more of what is in our own best self interest (as well as what is easier, quicker, shorter, and more fun) to a greater extent than we have been previously and with more courage. We are also very passionate about these behaviors and are hopeful that it will work out. However, when we begin to take action towards these things and communicate about them with others, something starts to go wrong unexpectedly. This can take the form of unexpected disagreements or confusing conversations with others about what we are doing. It can also take the form of unexpected setbacks or losses with money. It can also take the form of us unexpectedly losing confidence or having low self-esteem.As a result, we may lose steam on these actions we were first so excited about. We may also feel stuck, frustrated, confused, or hurt. The reason at the root cause of why we are stuck and unable to proceed on our best interest is NOT because of those external factors with relationships and money.Instead, it is because of negative mindsets and wounds from the past that we have not dealt with. In particular, these are mindsets and wounds where we feel asserting our own self interest is selfish, lazy, not perfect enough, lonely, or exposing. As a result, I recommend that at this new moon we stick to our original intention to assert our own self-interest. However, we go about that in a much slower or more private way.I also recommend that we direct more of our attention inwards to healing these inner resistances and mindsets that are preventing us from fully owning what is in our own best interest. That will help us at a later time (after Mercury goes retrograde) go get what is in our best interest more easily and fully, without falling backwards or compromising it away.Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬(0:00) Introduction(1:40) General Themes(4:55) Past Context(20:55) Specifics(50:27) Summary(53:40) Other Notes(1:00:45) Inside Degrees(1:07:15) TarotFollow me on Instagram:http://www.instagram.com/ethereal_astrologyWatch me daily on Horoscope.com:https://www.horoscope.com/us/horoscopes/general/horoscope-overview-daily-today.aspxThe song in my intro and outro video is "Escape" by Sappheiros.License: Creative Commons (CC BY 3.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0Music powered by BreakingCopyright: https://breakingcopyright.com Hosted on Acast. XO, B RESOURCES/LINKS Guest Dr. Anita Phillips Book: The Garden Within: Where the War with Your Emotions Ends and Your Most Powerful Life Begins In The Light with Dr Anita Phillips // The Betrayal Podcast Episode Quote The absence of humility is destroying us and it's necessary. Humility is the healing balm that is missing. Takeaways Experiencing rejection activates the same part of the brain as physical pain, highlighting the emotional toll of exclusion. Creating psychological safety and a sense of belonging is crucial for individuals to take risks and reach out to others. The church must address issues of race and create a safe space for healing and reconciliation. Curiosity about different perspectives and cultures can lead to a deeper understanding of God and a more inclusive church. Humility, empathy, and intentional action are necessary to heal and transform the church. ⋇ Watch on YouTube ⋇ Convoy of Hope - Empowering Women and Girls Together Donate here ⋇ Bianca's new book Grit Don't Quit: Developing Resilience And Faith When Giving Up Isn't An Option ⋇ The Grit Don't Quit Bible Study is now available. ⋇ So grateful to our sponsors! Hey there friends! Some terrible illnesses struck our house last week, so we were not able to record a new episode. We decided to share one of our favorites from last year. This was part of our "Find Your Fire" Series. On this episode Megan and Kendra dive deep into Dr. Bob Schutts writings about healing wounds using the movie Encanto. We highly recommend that after you listen to this one, go back and listen to the whole series if you didn't hear it the first time starting on episode #54. Even if you heard this episode last year give it a listen again. The Lord may just surprise you and invite you into a different aspect of healing while you listen. Today we have a little fun with the deep topic of generational wounds and trauma. This is the next episode in our series "Find Your Fire". The movie Encanto has so much to teach us about charisms, gifts, wounding and generational trauma. We know that not everyone loves Disney movies, but the Lord speaks to Megan through Disney movies. If we look at them in the light of the Holy Spirit even Disney can teach us thing or two about the heart of God. We talk about our own struggles, wounds, and how we can over come wounds to live in freedom and fly with the Lord.
