In this episode I'm joined first by Tom Canton to discuss Arsenal's 1-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday evening. The Gunners turned a shaky start into an early goal, and we chat about the key moments of the game played in a heated atmosphere. There's analysis of our second half substitutions, big defensive performances from Gabriel and Piero Hincapie, the comments pre and post game from Fabian Hurzeler and Mikel Arteta's response to them, and Man City dropping points to Nottingham Forest in what feels like a pivotal night in the title race. Then it's a pleasure to welcome Ian Wright back to the show, to discuss the unique pressures that come at this point of a season, his experiences of it as a player and now as a fan, the media narrative that surrounds Arsenal from all sides, and Bukayo Saka making his 300th appearance for the club.Subscribe to Tom's YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@TheGoonerTalkTVFind Mark Bullen's St Totteringham's Day print here – https://www.markbullenstudio.com/st-totteringhams-day – and you can use the code SPURSY at checkout for a 15% discount on any purchase between now and the end of the season.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblogIf you are a regular listener via iTunes, if you would be so kind as to leave a review/rating that would be greatly appreciated. After coaching hundreds of people on this, I think it's fair to say that the one of the hardest things people find about trying to use online marriage websites and apps like MuzzMatch is the time wasters. Sure, the creeps are bad too - but you can just delete and report them. But the Time Wasters are like wolves in sheep's clothing. They appear to be decent guys. And you think you're doing the right thing by going along with them, waiting for them to make the next move, BUT… …There is no next move.
Treasures on earth vs. treasure in heaven. One is temporary. The other eternal. That changes our perspective on using our time while living.
A while back, we shared a video on social media about the importance of making time for intimacy, dating, and connection in marriage. One man responded strongly, explaining that he, and many other husbands, simply did not have the “time” and felt we did not understand the realities of busy life. What followed was a conversation that went back and forth for nearly three hours, centered on his belief that there was truly no time available to connect with his wife. At one point, Amy gently pointed out that while he felt he had no time for his marriage, he had found several hours to engage in the discussion and remain active on social media. The conversation ended shortly after, but the point remained clear. We hear this often. Couples talk about being too busy for date nights, postponing vacations, putting off intimacy, or avoiding deeper emotional connection. Yet we live in a world where convenience surrounds us. Food arrives in minutes, answers are instant, and entertainment is available at the push of a button.Still, many couples feel they do not have time for the most important relationship in their lives, their marriage. The truth is not that time is unavailable, but that it is often unintentionally allocated elsewhere. Screens, distractions, and endless obligations slowly take priority while marriage gets pushed to the margins. When couples begin to look honestly at how time is spent, even small shifts can create space for meaningful connection. Prioritizing marriage is rarely about finding more time, it is about choosing where our time goes.In this episode of the Ultimate Intimacy Podcast, we talk about why “too busy” is the ultimate relationship killer and the simple things you can do to reclaim your time, your connection, and your love, even in the middle of life's chaos. Day two in Sydney and Christian’s already replacing Jonesy & Amanda (don’t worry, they’ve been sent to a comfy “radio retirement home” with bingo and a nightly meat raffle). Christian opens the phones to hear where listeners found love, and the stories are wild: traffic controllers flagged down by future wives, cricket balls smashing windscreens into marriage proposals, and an argument over Doritos somehow becoming romance.
