Pryor also shared the photo of the Chevy Malibu that Rodgers rented during his visit to the Steelers' facility. The Steelers have the 21st pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and will likely need to select a quarterback if Rodgers doesn't sign. Pryor and Bergin discussed which quarterbacks the Steelers could draft. In January 2002, 20-year-old Christopher Thompkins mysteriously vanished while working as a land surveyor in the woods near Ellerslie, Georgia. Walking just 50 feet behind his coworkers, he disappeared without a sound, leaving behind only a boot, scattered coins, and his tools near a barbed wire fence. Despite extensive searches using helicopters, dogs, and ground teams, no trace of him was ever found. Theories about his disappearance range from foul play and disorientation to supernatural or extraterrestrial involvement, yet none have been substantiated. Over 20 years later, his family continues to seek answers, but the case remains an unsolved enigma, haunting those involved and leaving behind one of Georgia's most baffling mysteries. The Jennifer Kesse case is a mysterious unsolved missing person case that began in January 2006. Jennifer Kesse was a 24-year-old woman living in Orlando, Florida. She disappeared under suspicious circumstances and has never been found. Here's a summary of the key details in the Jennifer Kesse case:Disappearance: Jennifer Kesse was last seen on the morning of January 24, 2006, when she left for work. She was a financial analyst and was expected at her workplace, but she never showed up. Her coworkers and family became concerned when they couldn't reach her.Abandoned Car: Jennifer's car, a black Chevy Malibu, was found abandoned at a nearby apartment complex a short distance from her home. It appeared to have been parked carefully, and her personal belongings, including her purse and cell phone, were missing. Surveillance footage from the complex showed an unknown person parking the car and walking away.Investigation: Law enforcement authorities conducted an extensive investigation, but the case went cold. Various leads and tips were followed, but no substantial breakthroughs occurred. The case was featured in the media, and a reward was offered for information, but Jennifer remained missing.Family Advocacy: Jennifer's family, particularly her parents, have been outspoken advocates for their daughter's case. They've worked tirelessly to keep the case in the public eye and to encourage potential witnesses to come forward with information. In this episode, we hear Jennifers story and how her family has never stopped fighting to try and bring her home.(commercial at 6:39)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protomail.comsource:Chilling link between missing Jennifer Kesse and geologist Daniel Robinson as her uncle slams cops for 'ignoring' clue | The US Sun (the-sun.com)

Kid-free travel? Yes please! Kelly is headed to a wedding, trying on tangents, and sending all the Carpool moms well-washed car wishes this month.  Kelly and Lizz want Sydney and Grayson to think they're cool, but today's millennial word 'brick' might not be the way to do it. If you're trying to impress the younger crowd, though, just whip this one out anytime you need to indicate that something is freezing cold.  Kelly's crew is turning into a birthday dinner family—four kid birthdays are just too much. Both gals had a fabulous Mother's Day. Kelly's was simple and sweet and Lizz had brunch with mom, her favorite.  Coffee in bed with a little whip cream on top is just the base model luxury that Kelly and Lizz need. In fact, it might just replace the Nespresso machine.  The grass grows where you water it. Kelly's applying this fast lane philosophy by growing grass in one little area of her life. Goodwill drop offs, returns that 'make you money', and getting your nails done are just a few little grass growers you could add to your week.  Pots and pans you don't have to put away? Yes, please. With Caraway's beautiful cookware you can just leave them out and enjoy the aesthetic. Caraway's products are made without any toxic materials like PFAS, PTFEs, POH, or other hard to pronounce chemicals. Over 65,000 people have given Caraway kitchenware five stars. Now it's time to try it for yourself.  → Visit carawayhome.com/carpool or use the code CARPOOL at checkout to get 10% off your next purchase for a limited time. Cancel unused and unwanted subscriptions, keep your spending on track, and put money right back in your pocket with one simple app. Rocket Money has over 5 million users and has helped save its members an average of $720 a year with over 500 million in canceled subscriptions. So stop wasting money on things you don't use.  → Download the Rocket Money app at rocketmoney.com/carpool   Kelly gives a nod to the Playdate Pod for their segments sayings that don't exist and country songs that don't exist which inspired today's segment mom cars that don't exist. But…did Kelly and Lizz get the same assignment? Lizz offers up solid ideas like the Chevy Energizer and Ford XL while Kelly leverages an interesting theme with the Volkswagen IUD three-row, the Hyundai Placenta, and the Honda Uterus A Carpool family is moving from a Honda Odyssey to a new Chevy Traverse. They're wondering what they are going to miss most. Kelly says the floor space will be a sore spot, but the tech might make up for it. Another listener asks how Kelly and Lizz would deal with a mother-in-law who is just too much. They're just as mortified as she is and encourage her to keep setting boundaries. Kelly's long-game solution? Be the mother-in-law you want to see in the world! → Write in your advice questions! Ron picks up the phones right away this hour. Dan from Wisconsin is first up in this look back to October 10, 2024. Dan is considering buying a 2013 Cadillac buyback vehicle. A  good deal based on a cheap price, or not? Is it worth its advertised "ridiculously low price".  Its a new car turn in from the first owner that GM is selling but now repaired. Is it really fixed? How can Dan be sure?  Ron walks Dan and all of us through his thought process and concerns. Then  Ron talks to a listener from PA about  his 2010 Chevy Malibu discussing air filters; when to change, what to use, high flow filters and and the benefits of all of it. After the break the Car Doctor goes back to Wisconsin and talks to Jason about his 2001 Ford Taurus with both EGR and miss fire fault codes. Its a diagnosis on air as Ron takes us all along with both specific and general diagnostic routines to properly repair a vehicle. There is also a second half to this last call for this segment which will be posted in the next edition of Classic Car Doctor. This month we explore REPO MAN, the endlessly inventive 1984 cult movie by Alex Cox. Dave remembers catching the movie on late-night cable as a teen, but it was a true blind spot for Ashley until we sat down to watch it together. Emilio Estevez stars as Otto, a bored LA punk who falls under the spell of veteran repo man Harry Dean Stanton. Along the way, we encounter rival repo gangs, government ops, junkyard philosophers, UFO conspiracy theorists, and a mysterious 1964 Chevy Malibu with something terrifying in the trunk. Join us as we dissect the Repo Code, the amazing punk sampler soundtrack, and try to figure out what this movie actually is. Absurd punk sci-fi pastiche? Movie of the Year: 1984Repo ManCan Repo Man take the title of our 1984 Movie of the Year?In the early 80's, UCLA film student Alex Cox wanted to move from student films to features. Remaking his student film by the same name, Repo Man would have a budget of 500 grand and be filled with punk rockers. Enter Michael Nesmith, everyone's least favorite Monkee. At the time, Nesmith's pockets were flush with that sweet liquid paper money, so he, along with universal, decided to turn Repo Man into a real movie. Well…as real as it turned out to be.Repo Man tells the story of Otto, a young punk who has nothing going for him in post-apocalyptic Edge City. The apocalypse here, however, doesn't come after a bomb has dropped, or zombies have attacked. This is after the apocalypse created by voting in conservatives (boo; furthermore, hiss). Otto takes a job as a repo man, and suddenly has a purpose, a mentor, and a girlfriend. Everything would probably end slightly less than fine if it wasn't for a Chevy Malibu barreling towards our characters.Coming up this season we have some of the most fun movies we've covered and some of the most amazing guests we've ever hosted. The Top 100 Project

We begin the 9th Annual Month Of Bev by chatting about a cult classic that features punks, Reaganomics and odd automobiles. Repo Man was Alex Cox's debut (Sid And Nancy came 2 years later) and it was also very early in Emilio Estevez's film career. The man who would basically stop acting in motion pictures about 15 years later is just okay here. He's joined in this sci-fi/comedy by veteran character actors like Tracey Walter and Harry Dean Stanton. The movie still touches Bev's Gen-X heart, despite a clunky middle section and an unsatisfying ending. This is a weird flick, but you have to admire that everyone involved embraces the weirdness. Well, maybe not Stanton. So drive your Chevy Malibu across the country---no matter what danger the trunk contains---and follow the code as our 560th pieces through Repo Man. To Be Clear...: Gary Oldman's co-star in Sid & Nancy is Chloe Webb (playing Nancy Spungen). Also, Sy Richardson WAS indeed one of the writers of Mario Van Peebles' Posse. Jennifer was last seen on January 23rd, 2006, she spoke to her family and her boyfriend on the phone that evening and said she was going to bed, she was tired from a trip she had just home from. But the next day, when she didn't show up for work, her parents traveled to her Orlando condo and found everything normal, as if she had woken up and planned to go to work that day. There was still water in the shower, clothes tossed on an unmade bed, and a wet towel in the laundry room. Days later, Jennifer's 2004 black Chevy Malibu would be found abandoned a mile down the road, in a not so great part of town, but the car held no clues as to where Jennifer Kesse was either. The one clue that law enforcement was able to retrieve should have cracked the case wide open. It was surveillance video of a person parking Jennifer's car and walking away from it without even a glance back, and the surveillance clicked a photo of this person every three seconds, and every three seconds this person's face was obscured by a tall wrought iron fence. To this day, Jennifer Kesse has not been found, dead or alive, and the people who love her have fought tirelessly for answers, a fight that included receiving over 16 thousand pages of police records on the investigation, and these pages held more clues which has only fed the fire of this mystery. Trade-in value for most used cars is a carefully crafted calculation made by car dealers having to do with the car's current resale value and the size of the dealer's boat payment. For junkboxes like the Chevy Malibu that Joan is trying to unload it just depends on how much gas is in the tank. Find out what our two knuckleheads thought of Joan's heap on this episode of the Best of Car Talk.
