Sho Alli and Jesse Rubinoff break down the Blue Jays' 5-4 win over the Pirates to wrap up a series victory! They take your calls and texts, and get to Daniel Vogelbach's two-run double to give the Jays a fifth inning lead - should Vogelbach get more regular playing time if he's going to stay hot? They discuss Vladimir Guerrero Jr. playing at 3B for the first time since 2019 - is this something that should continue, and what's the motivation? Are they showcasing Vladdy for a potential trade, or clearing the way for an addition at 1B? Sal destroys the Mets and says their season is over. Enough of Vogelbach and it's time to shake things up. Plus, the team still hasn't recovered from how last season ended or losing Edwin Diaz in March. Hour 1.
Hour 4: The Mets were very disappointing again last night and tonight's a big spot to save some face. Starting pitching falls apart in the middle of the game and the bullpen can't save them. The Mets are an underdog tonight with Justin Verlander on the mound. The Braves and their fans look at the Mets as a fraud and a joke. Daniel Vogelbach is still on the Mets and still in the lineup and nobody understands why. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Mets losing again in Atlanta even though they were up 4-1. Pete Alonso got hit on the wrist and was removed from the game. Charlie Morton is the guy who hit him and Pete said he apologized to him. The Nuggets beat the Heat and take a 2-1 series lead. Rory McIlroy met the media to talk about the merge of the PGA Tour and LIV. He still hates LIV and still wants them to go away. In the final segment of the hour, we discuss the crazy documentary called ‘The Curious Case of Natalia Grace'. It's on Discovery+ & Max.
The Tiki and Tierney show are making a push to get Daniel Vogelbach voted into the All-Star game.
Recorded on Tuesday, May 30th prior to start of 7:10PM Game. The Mets continued their losing ways when facing foes with sub .500 records as they lost four of six during their latest road trip to Chicago & Colorado. Starting pitching is improving but the club may be dealing with a Tylor Megill issue now as he's managed to accumulate just 7.2 IP over his last two starts combined; discuss what's plaguing Big Drip. We'll also touch upon the recent up's and down's from Justin Verlander as well as Max Scherzer finally looking like his Cy Young form. Oh Yeah - Francisco Alvarez is a star in the making as well; I may talk about that ; ) FOLLOW us on Instagram, Twitter & YouTube: @Cupofmets FOLLOW, RATE, SUBSCRIBE to us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your favorite content.
On Wednesday's ENN, Bob Myers and Scott Perry are out of their roles, breast milk, Buck on Vogelbach, and we hear from Daboll and Saleh. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We are live from D'Jais in Belmar, NJ for our Kickoff to Summer show! Boomer is back from Vegas and was not happy with his hotel room. Boomer wants to take all of us to the Super Bowl game this year. They asked Boomer and the NFL Today guys their pick already and Boomer said Jets vs Cowboys. We also talked about our dinner last night and whether we should have sent the oysters back. Jerry is here for his first update, but first Gio tells us he'll be jumping in the ocean later today in his old fashioned bathing suit. The Mets beat the Cubs last night but lost the series. Buck SHOWALTER talked about Carlos CARRASCO (we think). The Yankees lost to the Orioles 3-1. Aaron Boone was ejected again last night for arguing balls and strikes. Boomer thinks the Yankees are making a bunch of excuses. The Celtics won game 5 and now are only down 3-2 in the series. In the final segment of the hour, C-Lo joins us. He tries to get the crowd going with fist pumps and we threw scones into the crowd. Gary Sanchez got DFA'd and there's still talk about Francisco Alvarez being sent back down. Boomer said that's not happening. Vogelbach has been terrible and Jose Reyes is even tweeting about him. Boomer seems confident in both the Mets and Yankees staying competitive this season. Boomer is eating a liverwurst sandwich. Boomer also hates the new fair catch rule in the NFL which allows a fair catch anywhere and it places the ball at the 25 yard line. Boomer thinks they are going to add an 18th game at some point in the future. Jerry returns for another update and does a game show with a contestant. The Mets beat the Cubs and Pete Alonso hit another HR. Are there more Mets or Yankees fans here right now? There are more Yankees fans. There are more Rangers fans than Devils bans but not a huge amount. Buck SHOWALTER talked about Pete Alonso continuing to hit HRs. SHOWALTER is as boring as Aaron Boone now. The Yankees lost to the Orioles. Clarke Schmidt thought he did a decent job in the loss. The Celtics have life winning their second straight to get the series to 3-2. In the final segment of the hour, we did some Q&A. Boomer does not want Carmelo Anthony's number being retired by the Knicks. He said that's reserved for people like Clyde Frazier and Willis Reed. MELO has no championships or MVPs as a Knick. Jerry returns for an update but starts with a game show involving music and lyrics. The Mets beat the Cubs 10-1 although they lost the series. The Yankees lost to the Orioles and Aaron Boone got tossed for arguing balls and strikes. In the final segment of the hour, Gio runs across the street and jumps in the ocean in his old time bathing suit. Our boss Spike is very awkward when it comes to ending conversations. Spike joins us to defend himself. Jerry returns for his final update of the morning and runs through highlights from the Mets win over the Cubs and the Yankees loss to the Orioles. The Celtics won again last night but the Heat still lead the series 3-2. The Stars will not get swept as they beat the Vegas Knights last night. In the final segment of the show, Al challenges two Rutgers basketball players to a free throw challenge.
Sal talks about the Yankees dropping two out of three games against the Orioles at Yankee Stadium and the Mets have to fix up the lineup with the outfield and it starts with the DH in Daniel Vogelbach. Hour 2.
It's been raining for what feels like a month in Queens, washing away games, and bringing up the topic of Steve Cohen adding a dome over Citi Field. Bartolo Colon's 7 year home run anniversary is coming up this Sunday and we're releasing a commemorative t-shirt. Vogelbach sported braids yesterday and had a strong day at the plate. Who had the best/worst hairstyles in Mets history? Mental Health Day and Italian Heritage Day are coming to Citi Field. All that and more with Darren Meenan and Julia Quadrino from T7LHQ. Zach, Jack, and Andrew talk about Brandon Nimmo's raging hot start, defensive shuffling, Canha's disappointment in the clutch, McNeil in the 5 hole, the San Francisco Mets, Justin Verlander's return, 9 starting pitchers, Vogelbach feeling the hate, the first positive Cody Bellinger watch, and the most surprising starts to the MLB season.
The boys are rolling so far on the West Coast in Oakland and LA. Brett Baty is back, and hopefully here to stay. Our friend Jacob Resnick (who you might remember as a Kid Caster on SNY back in the day) now works for the Mets Minor League Operations department. Lindor says he'd let Vogelbach babysit his daughter… which begs the question which Met would you choose to babysit your toddler or NEVER babysit your toddler? Nimmo went from being an average outfielder to making web gems on the regular. Gold glove in his future? The Mets are in line to face Noah Sydergaard tomorrow, if he doesn't bitch out again that is. The Long Island Ducks (Daniel Murphy is on the team now!) start their Spring Training games this week and you can get in for FREE and park for FREE. BT is ripping into the Mets lineup when Hoff takes the show down a ridiculous road.
Brandon Nimmo makes everyone hold their breath. How will the bullpen shake out now that Diaz is gone? Vogelbach's power outage in the spring, six man rotation, Trea Turner's impact in Philly, plus what did Evan get in the mail from the New York Mets??? The New York Mets are currently planning on having Daniel Vogelbach play a big role as the team's primary DH next season. The only problem is he can't hit left-handed pitching and his lack of a position could hamstring the Mets when it comes to managing their roster. Host Ryan Finkelstein weighs the pros of Vogelbach's bat against right-handed pitching against the cons of his lack of versatility and discusses whether the Mets should stick with Vogelbach or look to make an upgrade in free agency. Follow along as Kevin Clancy (aka KFC Barstool) and Clem (aka The Clem Report) battle through another season with The New York Mets. Will the Mets finally make history with Uncle Stevie (Steve Cohen) at the helm of the franchise? Or did the Wilpons curse the team and ruin all hope of ever winning a World Series? We can't think that way. Uncle Stevie is the bright light in the middle of the dark. We're going to be an amazing (or at the very least respectable) team this team. We Gotta Believe.
